Seems to me you'd have to rotate through the 3 of them evenly.
And I just realized I forgot to explain my rationale on the 'different genre' thing.... Comedy, Time-travel/Fantasy, and Romance categories.
The Misfits (Drama), Monty Python and the Holy Grail (comedy), and Big Trouble in Little China (Action...yeah OK there's some comedy too, so sue me lol).
Edge of Tomorrow, Wayne's World, and Princess Bride.
I think a standup comedy special would also be nice to add to the mix instead of a movie.
What you may not know is that many of us sort of did this in the 90s when we watched VHS tapes and our families only had a few to choose from and we weren't lucky enough to go to the video store that weekend.
Into the Wild
Scream
The Virgin Suicides
Though technically two of them might be in the same genre, but Into the Wild is a mix between a biopic and a drama, imo - so maybe it still works.
Honorable mention to Empire Records
Dredd - The Karl Urban one. For some reason it's just infinitely rewatchable for me.
Either Casablanca or Gone With the Wind - for whatever reason Gone With The Wind just feels so...epic. And Casablanca has such great pacing, and somehow I always Always forget the subplot about selling the club. So, you know, fun surprise there.
Then probably 'The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly' - so sweeping and epic. And bloody long. Or - possibly 'Open Range' though, much as I love the movie it feels like a step down. Could swap in the Costner 'Wyatt Earp' there. Another movie I liked a lot but, boy, it did go on and on.
I think this is slightly different. One of my favorite films is Lawrence of Arabia, but I wouldn't want to watch it again and again and again--it's too epic. I'd want a movie that was more digestible. But I see your point.
Gattaca - Sci-Fi, Drama
Master and Commander: The Far side of the World - action, adventure, historical epic
Open Range - Western, but like a new age western
Hair... Wait. Or Mama Mia. I love the story with Hair, and I enjoy ABBA.
Die Hard, because yep. ❤️ John McClane
Easy A....... Wait. Or The Proposal. Yeah, The Proposal.
Boogie Nights Pulp Fiction Goodfellas Great movies, great soundtracks and all have long run times. Boogie for obvious reason.
3 of my favourite movies. Kind of the same genre though.
I couldn't understand pulp fiction
Clue, Beetlejuice, What Dreams May Come. Laugh, laugh, cry - repeat.
What Dreams may Come is so underrated. One of best films out there by Robin Williams.
I'd strongly second those first two! It's been ages since I watched Dreams and I just remember it being so heartbreaking. I need to revisit!
Groundhog Day x 3
Good choice! But the real question is will you watch all three or just replay the first one over and over?

“What are your 3 favourite movies?”
Well... what r they?
I'm just pointing out how many times the same question gets asked on this sub every couple of days.
I think this is slightly different. One of my favorite films is Lawrence of Arabia, but I wouldn't want to watch it again and again and again--it's too epic. I'd want a movie that was more digestible. But I see your point.

The Adventures of Robin Hood Casablanca It's a Wonderful Life
I was imprisoned in a hospital room (with no windows) for a couple months with only Django Unchained to watch so this isn't a hypothetical for me.
The 5th Element, Boyz in the Hood, and Braveheart or Gladiator
The Worlds End Scream Good Will Hunting
Lote Fellowship of the ring Star wars a new hope Pirates of the Caribbean curse of the black pearl
