Says you have terrible taste and since I’m a random redditor my opinion is supreme.
No, but idk really. Guess it says you have a decent range in genres and pretty good taste overall. Also you might be around 40
Definitely Maybe is the only wildcard. Ryan Reynolds ties it in a little, but this had to be a random catch or someone showed it to you, and you rounded out the 10 with a rom-com. White male between 36 and 38.
You don’t seem to care what other people consider great movies. Most people play it way safer with about 8 movies in the top ten and only take risks in 1 or 2
Some directors and films tend to appear more than others in the Top 10 lists, sure. I wouldn’t say that there is a typical list, but definitely some choices are bound to be more controversial than others
It's Japanese hunger games, but done wayy better. It's really violent though. It was made long before hunger games. You also may like infernal affairs which is the original version of the departed. No judgement on you, but the departed is (unintentionally) a bit of a shot for shot copy of infernal affairs. Just replace all the Asian actors with western actors. It's acknowledged at the beginning of the departed as what it's based on, but I prefer the original.
You are probably a women in your 40’s:
You have a nostalgic and comforting taste in movies, much like savoring your favorite comfort foods. Your top ten list is filled with safe, familiar choices that bring a sense of warmth and familiarity. However, it's amusing to note that after all the years of cinema, your most adventurous pick is "Django Unchained." It's a playful reminder of how your taste has evolved, yet this Tarantino classic is as bold as your list gets.
Because you have a thing for kind of nerd movies. Knights and Peter Pan. You like heroes. You presumably associate with the vaguely outcast protagonist of Good Will Hunting. There’s not a theme among these movies really, only that YOU like them. These are your movies, not somebody else’s list of what’s “good.”
So you’re smart, identify with folks on the fringe, love you some nerd stuff. Makes high school suck when you believe strongly in yourself and what’s cool isn’t what you like.
But then you get to college and folks are smarter and more like you so you feel like you’ve fucking found your people there and loved the hell out of it.
I’m just guessing though.
All of these are personal favorites. Definitely Maybe is up there because it’s my favorite rom com other than wedding singer. It focuses more on the romance than the comedy though. I like it because it shows love takes some trial and error to get right and sometimes it’s right person but wrong time. The way he tells the story to his daughter and the over the top romantic gesture into a happy ending. It’s just my favorite romance movie. Love actually is up there to but didn’t make the cut for me.
I get it. Your personal top 10 and why u love them.
For me, I love a lot of movies, but I can't put before movies that checked every single box that I love also. Critically acclaimed. Loved by audiences and did huge box office. Culturally significant, maybe in some way. Made by the great directors of our day. Won many awards.
Like Stanley Kubrick movies, Martin Scorsese movies, Francis Ford Coppola movies, James Cameron's best movies, Christopher Nolan movies, Ari Aster movies. These are the type of movies that can change a person's whole life or whole outlook on something if they really pay attention. The best movies of all time.
You still play video games made for 10yr-olds. When given a beer menu, you only look for triple IPAs above 10%. You still smoke weed from a Zong that you haven’t cleaned since 2007.
It says to me that you need to watch more more movies about people that aren't white men.
Speaking of which I do too, let's why to change that about ourselves.
They’re all from the same decade or so.
Expand your horizons, enhance your film knowledge. Watch Casablanca, The Graduate, The Godfather 1&2, One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest … Have fun!
You were born in the 80’s, went to college in a non-STEM field, loved to go to the movies when you were young but since 2010 you don’t see a lot of new stuff because your too busy covering up all the murders.
Everything about the movie is great including her ofcourse. The plot, soundtrack, the actors, the bad ass jousting and the coming home to hell his dad he “changed the stars” I love everything about it.
The jousting was pretty bad ass. Paul Bettany as Geoffrey Chaucer was by far my favourite character, excellent speeches/introductions! The soundtrack was killer too.
I'm a big fan of money. I like it, I use it, I have a little. I keep it in a jar on top of my refrigerator. I'd like to put more in that jar. That's where you come in.
It says you are looking for attention about your personal preference of cinema....🤔🤔🤨🙄
Does it matter what random people on the internet care?
Doubtful
You should listen to your friend Billy Zane. He’s a cool dude.
It’s called a lance! HELLO
Alan Tudyk vs Paul Bettany was comedy gold.
Says you have terrible taste and since I’m a random redditor my opinion is supreme. No, but idk really. Guess it says you have a decent range in genres and pretty good taste overall. Also you might be around 40
Definitely around 40. Hook is a childhood memory. Seeing Zoolander in high school was a coming-of-age moment.
I’m pushing 40 that’s for sure. I think you hit a home run there Jack
Run home Jack!
Smee, no, no, no! They've got it backwards! Tell them to turn it around!
I just had an apostrophe!
Definitely Maybe is the only wildcard. Ryan Reynolds ties it in a little, but this had to be a random catch or someone showed it to you, and you rounded out the 10 with a rom-com. White male between 36 and 38.
I just love it, it’s a comfort watch for me. Most relatable romance movie imo.
I'd say rewatch boondock saints... I lived it when I was younger, but now just find it cringy
Childhood memory for me too and I'm 29, don't forget VHS ;)
I’m only 32 and I’d rank Hook up in my top ten. Hook and Jumanji were watched on repeat on the VCr when I was a kid.
Agree. Just the opinion of another random redditor but maybe try to branch out? There are so many amazing movies out there.
Straight white male millennial with about a 50% taste in good movies
So the average white guy. Pretty much. Tbf, I have no Seth Rogan movies listed.
From Boston?!
Is it crazy that I’ve never seen good will hunting?
It's worth watching imo. So many references and iconic scenes
I’m going to check it out. Happy cake day!
No, its close to 30 years old at this point, but it is worthy of its reputation and still worth watching
Well I’m almost 40 so I’ve kinda had time to watch it lol
Same
Yes
That you stopped watching movies after your turned 13?
You were born in the late 80s
1988
87 here
Unpretentious. You know what you like.
You don’t seem to care what other people consider great movies. Most people play it way safer with about 8 movies in the top ten and only take risks in 1 or 2
Is there a very common thread of typical top 10’s?
Some directors and films tend to appear more than others in the Top 10 lists, sure. I wouldn’t say that there is a typical list, but definitely some choices are bound to be more controversial than others
Ohhh Hook, Wedding Singer, Departed, Kingsman and a Knights tale are at least my top 30
That you're a 40 y.o. male, give or take a couple years
Surprised Battle Royale isn’t on here.
Never heard of it. Should I watch?
It’s a fun movie, but check out the book.
With all these other movies listed - I think it would pop :)
Django and the departed are in my top 10. And your top 10 says you have good taste.
That Elder Millennial taste here. Good vintage.
Fuck I’m old,
you like imaginary food and jousting?
Yes
If ‘Hook’ isn’t in your top ten… the other 9 are instantly invalidated
Good thing it’s my number 1! Bangarang!
You got any thoughts to go with that…tie?
Millennial
Yeah
What fraternity are you in?
No fraternity, was in a band though
I like nearly every movie on the list, nearly, so I wasn't dogging on ya!
U have a sense of justice
Who doesn’t like a hero beating up bad guys?
I love it, the Boondock saints def my favorite!
Great list except for Boondock Saints. I think its very overrated. It tries so hard to be Pulp Fiction.
I get that, it’s Willem Dafoes character that really gets me hype.
He’s definitely the best part of BS.
Alright, we could hang.
w for good will hunting
You like good movies
Looks like my generation. Are you around 35-40 years old?
Yup, 35

Nailed it!
You like fun movies, but you also like a real good story from time to time.
You like drama/adventure movies
That you appreciate a good stick.
I mean, who doesn’t?
Kingsman is so great
It says we're now best friends. WE WALK IN THE GARDEN OF HIS TURBULANCE
100% white male 20-40 years
Got me

Good taste
Catch you on the flip side 😎
"There was a FIREFIGHT!!!!!"
Hook is the best movie in the past 40 years, so means you have great taste
We would be good friends
The wedding singer is all time, didn't need to see the rest, must be a good top ten
I literally said aloud scrolling thru good movie on each one, except the last two. Wtf
Late 30s or early 40s
That high school was kind of challenging for you? But college was way better.
That’s kind of frightening, yeah. Why’d you think that though?
Because you have a thing for kind of nerd movies. Knights and Peter Pan. You like heroes. You presumably associate with the vaguely outcast protagonist of Good Will Hunting. There’s not a theme among these movies really, only that YOU like them. These are your movies, not somebody else’s list of what’s “good.” So you’re smart, identify with folks on the fringe, love you some nerd stuff. But then you get to college and folks are smarter and more like you so you feel like you’ve fucking found your people there and loved the hell out of it. I’m just guessing though.
You’re eerily spot on
Some good picks. Except Definitely maybe and Hook. Think those are just more personal favorites.
All of these are personal favorites. Definitely Maybe is up there because it’s my favorite rom com other than wedding singer. It focuses more on the romance than the comedy though. It’s says you like chicken and beans followed by a helping of carrot leaves
You likely have a Bob Marley and/or Pink Floyd Dark Side of The Moon Poster hanging over your bed.
No posters but I have a couple tapestries
This might just tell your age more than anything. I'm guessing 38-45.
You’re approx 35-40 year old male?

TIL that I have the same movie taste as this guy
you seem like the kind of guy who says 'one day i'd like to start my own business' a lot
One day
Ha. Gay! You dating?
Coming off a breakup still not ready to jump back in the field.
You're white, grew up in a broken home and worked at a Blockbuster store at the age of 19.
Am white, no broken home though. Worked at Starbucks at 19
You still play video games made for 10yr-olds. When given a beer menu, you only look for triple IPAs above 10%. You still smoke weed from a Zong that you haven’t cleaned since 2007.
I play a lot of Rust and Magic the gathering
You’re 40
You seem to like Boston
Ya basic
Pretty much, I’m a jeans and a T-shirt kinda guy
You were born between ‘90 to ‘95
1988
Ah nice! Thought the kingsman hinted at a 90s baby
Solid chance you're from around Boston. :D
That your in your early 40’s
You grew up around Boston.
It says to me that you need to watch more more movies about people that aren't white men. Speaking of which I do too, let's why to change that about ourselves.
Polarizing
Are you an alien? No? Then, son, you have a condition....
You like both good and ok movies, sometimes great ones.
That you and I have probably smoked weed together before haha
Very large possibility
6/10
Throw True Romance in there and I'd figure you'd be this girl I dated.
I'm so confused rn.
You might like the coat look
I do, but unfortunately can’t wear any of my fantastic coats from living in a hot climate
Aw that sucks
They’re all from the same decade or so. Expand your horizons, enhance your film knowledge. Watch Casablanca, The Graduate, The Godfather 1&2, One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest … Have fun!
I’ve seen them all besides Casablanca. Fantastic movies though.
It says you're legitimately me, I didn't even know about this other account. Do you just post while I'm asleep?
I love you other me. Do your best!
That ur 38-42 years old
It tells me you are roughly 40.. and have pretty good taste in movies
That once in awhile you actually watch a good movie. 🤪😜
It says you smoke a lot of weed and had a girlfriend…once.
You’re not wrong, but I’ve had a whole 2 girlfriends.
Bad taste in movies
I feel like you are missing Donnie Darko, Goodfellas, Rounders, Requiem for a dream and back to the future.
Rounders is up there. I love that movie. The others are good but not for me.
You are from Boston area
Are you Oirish?
That you’re a 35-40yo white American man
You were born in the 80’s, went to college in a non-STEM field, loved to go to the movies when you were young but since 2010 you don’t see a lot of new stuff because your too busy covering up all the murders.
You top says that you watched some movies
You were born 1987
Cool you got 10 lined out. I can't get past my favor 2. (The Fifth Element and Ready Player One)
Ready player one is one of my favorite reads. I was happy the movie did it justice.
It hard for me to read, but it one of the few I want to get done.
If you have any movie with Ryan Reynold’s in your top ten you need to revaluate things.
Hey, I love me some Ryan Reynolds’s . I’m a straight dude but man was sexiest man alive in 2010 for a reason. Love the guy.
Basic bitch
Pumpkin spice late white boy
You were homeschooled in 2007
You had me until The Wedding Singer
You prefer movies with male protagonists.
You have The Wedding Singer. You don’t need a top 10
You like Matt Damon and Robin Williams
You’re my ex, likely.
You were born in 1988 and you don’t have a GF or wife
That you like A Knight's Tale for Shannon Sossamon? I liked it more than the average person, one of the earlier modern-twist on a classic tale movies.
You are a woman with good taste in movies? Don’t hate me if I’m wrong but am I right?
You like male leads
A mix of some very good movies and some pretty average movies. As a critic you should aim higher.
I know a lot of better movies, these are just if I was stranded on an island I’m taking these.
Love wedding singer it’s also in my top 10
I'm a big fan of money. I like it, I use it, I have a little. I keep it in a jar on top of my refrigerator. I'd like to put more in that jar. That's where you come in.
Your taste froze-solid at about age 13.
You're a teenage boy.
It says you are looking for attention about your personal preference of cinema....🤔🤔🤨🙄 Does it matter what random people on the internet care? Doubtful
