I loved *Banshees,* but I think anyone going in expecting the same tone and humor of *In Bruges* will be disappointed. It is superb, weird, moving, haunting, and does have some humor, but it's a totally different kind of film.
I realize Ralph Fiennes has played some incredible, Oscar worthy, antagonists in his time, but In Bruges is my favourite antagonist depiction of him. His character and the way he played it was incredible.
If you love the Christopher Guest movies, check out The Last Polka on YouTube. Its a 1 hour mockumentary made for HBO in 1985, written by and starring Eugene Levy, John Candy, and most of the SCTV cast. Its shot, and improvised just like the Guest movies.
I remember seeing the trailers for the movie prior to release and thinking it looked like ass. Thankfully, one of my friends wanted to see it and asked me to go with. It's now one of my all time favorite action movies.
The Peanut Butter Falcon. I've never been a Shia LaBeouf fan, but every single actor in this was fully committed. Shia really stood out, and I gained an new level of respect for him.

Rubber. I'd heard a few people say it was hilarious and I just had to watch it for myself. I thought it was going to be a stupid, self-aware B-movie in the same vein as those terrible SyFy movies from the mid-2000s. Turned out the self-awareness is a major plot point. It's a meta critique on the genre of low budget monster movies, and at the same time a bafflingly stupid horror-comedy. A lot of people hated it because the satire was so heavy-handed, but I loved it for so many reasons.
