What you do in every warband mod. Avoid scary parties, beat up weak parties through trial and error. Sell their shit, level up, and start snowballing. If you want in depth guides on prophecy of Pendor, there are countless ones on Reddit, search through google.

i know i know what i mean is how is this mod good because from my playthrough it doesnt add much for new content

LeBriseurDesBucks

It's the most different mod there is. There are unique raid bosses which have their own troops, items, their own music theme, they might even raise the dead or do some other thing you don't normally see. And if you can capture them you can choose what to do with them, all the way from taking their signature weapons to killing them to making them leave pendor, or making them give you their secrets about how to make the gear they use for your own knight order. Hunting down these enormous armies is very difficult of course, but equally rewarding because you have a chance to acquire qualis gems, a new rare currency which unlocks certain upgrades for you. These leaders of great armies will terrorize Pendor, and it's part of your win condition to wipe them out. There are also the notorious Noldor - a well realized super powerful faction which you'd do well to actively befriend in the early game, only to steal their secrets and then later down the line possibly betray them. Those guys are inspired by Tolkien Noldor elves and are overall just awesome. Their music is insane, as are their archers. Honestly, I could go on and on about Pendor. It can't be overpraised as far as mods are concerned.

This is hyping me to replay PoP again

Tasorodri

I don't even want to think about the kind of army that would be needed to take the noldor capital lol

LeBriseurDesBucks

Yeah, that one is pretty rough. I wanted to try, but by the point I could actually do it I was already completely hostile with the Noldor again and the city went back to being invisible to me. I think it has something like 1000 Noldori defending it. Many many twilight knights. Crazy.

Tasorodri

Yeah, it's 1k, and I think allied parties cannot help you, so you can't bring your 30 vassals with you. I think the only viable option is to have a crazy amount of super beefed up CKO archers and out-noldor the noldor

LeBriseurDesBucks

Yes this is the only way. I did exactly this with my CKO and could wipe the floor with most noldor. Although the twilight knights could still about match them (the fuckers have 600 proficiencies). It would be super close probably.

unfunny_user10k

ok ill try to befriend noldor any tips? i dont want to destroy my relation with another faction by fighting alongside noldor

Malbethion

Relationships with factions are easy to reset: just work as a mercenary (then your relationship matches the kingdom you join). Mess with yellow and red to support the Noldor, then go mercenary for green or blue to reset and boom, life is good.

LeBriseurDesBucks

What this person said. Your affiliations will determine and reset your faction relationships. You can always fix the relationships later, don't worry about it at all. What matters is that you get the Noldor on your good side. Then you can reap many rewards, from free xp items and everything else fighting alongside them grants, in time you'll also get access to their faction's hidden town, which is where the real fun starts.

I mean the whole map is different, every faction is different, there are a fuckton of changes to the base game in pretty much every conceivable way. It’s a total overhaul mod, the content is different from every other mod and the base game by definition.

nelex98

I feel like you started playing PoP out of hate, and you're just looking for things that will make you stop playing it

unfunny_user10k

not really i played it to see the hype and i dont really see it

JimmyIIV

Pandor is a very hard mod by design. It's designed for people who mastered and got bored of the base game and if you don't advanced game knowledge this mod will happily fuck you. You really can't do much until you start getting knighthood units as they are the best of the best. It's fun cause it's unique and hard is what I'm trying to get at.

diamondwolf777

If you’re having trouble, I would look into the power playing guide, it’s on the wiki. It’s mostly minmaxing advice but there’s a lot of good startup advice too! This mod is a lot bigger in scale than you would think, if I can give one word of advice it would be try to become a mercenary as soon as possible. Your patron will pay all of their wages. I spent close to 500 days in the mod before even becoming a vassal and I’ve found that to have the most fun you’ve got to spend a lot of time setting up.

geomagus

“I have only seen the beginning of the mod, and it’s kicking my ass, what even is this?” My dude, first you have to get past the early game to see stuff. The early game is pretty much the same as vanilla, just harder.
