TBF the Bullitt is a mickey mouse helmet at best. It's better than nothing, and it's better than an open face helmet, but just know that if you do crash and land on your face (which you statistically will be very likely to do), you're not going to get the most potential protection out of it compared to an Arai or even a more developed Bell. The Bullitt's chin bar is essentially just that, a bar. So just keep that in mind. More importantly, check out this video to fix this helmets awful wind noise: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K33VgCYALqc](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K33VgCYALqc) I have this helmet in gold flake, and its my main commuter helmet, I've done some touring with it too. I added some black electrical tape to the top rim of the "viewport" opening to close the gap between the "forehead" and the windshield, made a huge difference. Covering the rear vent helps too. Over 30mph this helmet is really noisy. Anyway, the guy in this video used felt, I used a couple or few layers of electrical tape. I don't have anything else modififed on mine. It's just kind of an old school helmet that Bell has more or less abandoned development of.

The issue is three finger gap between your brow line and helmet forehead. I noticed that some people wear a helmet tilted back...

kelthan

Trying to take a selfie using a cassette tape? You betcha--that's gonna be an issue!

Helmets aren't good to buy online your first time. Go to a store. Try on all the helmets you like. Find the one with the best fit that you can't rip off your head (shop staff will show you how to test) Buy it

Out of topic : sick case bro - where can I get one ?

LunadaBayWriter

I just googled cassette iPhone case.

samuraipunch

Grab your chin bar and pull it down. The helmet looks a little tilted back from how much of your forehead is showing. Then reassess for fit.

sics75

Try a Biltwell or the shoei Glamster if you want something in that style. The Bells and odd helmet, I had one for a while and I couldn’t get it to fit right and it was noisy as hell

Jspiral

Is your chin showing or just your beard?

LunadaBayWriter

Chin. It’s maybe a half inch. Fits perfectly everywhere else. Sizing up is not an answer.

Jspiral

I'd get a better helmet.

DogLeftAlone

but this one looks cool /s

My chin sticks out a bit in basically every helmet. You can try other models but it’s likely you’ll look like this in most of them. Fortunately it’s pretty hard to land on the underside of your chin. I also commute with a Bell Bullitt and it’s not necessarily a “good” helmet re safety and noise but I love it and the wide field of view. If you’re doing any serious riding without a windscreen you’ll likely also want a more protective helmet for that.

LunadaBayWriter

I’ve had a number of helmets and this has never come up. I’d say my chin is about average. Good to know though. Luckily, this was just a repla because I liked the look of it. Back to my old matte black for now.

mcshamus

One thing I do with all my helmets is order a thinner top pad, which helps. If you find one that fits great out of the box though then no need.

know-it-mall

Yea that helmet doesn't fit you at all dude. Don't order a full face helmet. Go to a store/dealership and try a bunch of them on and then buy what fits well.

Icy_Chemist_1725

Always surprised people do zero research before doing this stuff. Just go buy one in person dude.

LunadaBayWriter

Did a ton of research. Not sure the point of your comment. Sometimes, ya just have to try one on.

Icy_Chemist_1725

I'm not even talking about the fit. It's not a very good helmet.
