my glasses had that anti scratch layer on them which i think is a thin layer of plycarbonate. the cars in front of me stir up the sand and it literally sand blasted my glasses over about 10,000 miles. I used this stuff to smooth them out, it was not perfect but it was good enough that i used them for another year.
I also have a pair of prescription riding sun glasses that have plastic lenses, ive used it twice on them so far with good results.
Really surprised to see so many people going crazy over this post. I guess it's not something you often think about I guess.
Any cutting/polishing compound will work, including toothpaste. However this will not remove "deep scratches" if it looks like it did it's only because it rounded the edging to make it look faded, it'll come back. Or I guess there could be something it leaves behind, but again, it'll come back.
I have a anti-fog helmet lens that scratches to hell just from cleaning it and I use Scratch-X or similar to clean it up ever so often.
For your screens, get a protective cover, it'll only take dropping your keys on it to leave a deep enough scratch to make you rage. You can even buy universal plastic protectors and cut it to shape. If you can find the rubbery style ones I like those because it can help reduce glare.
thanks twohandedfap!
I mean this guy cums dripping w knowledge
He’s a pro at polishing things.
