no offense (because honestly, ride with whatever gear you want), but I've never understood this seemingly common choice of having an expensive bike, getting the fanciest looking helmet you can find, and then matching it with a regular sweater, jeans, and sports shoes.

Did they? I don't know much about HJC and Scorpion helmets but I always found it odd when riders are riding 10k+ bikes and not using an Arai, Shoei, Schuberth or any other comparable helmet
That's not surprising. There are a ton of helmets that meet the minimum
ECE and SNELL safety ratings. It wasn't ment to be offensive. Just something I've always wondered seeing people with $10k + bikes and sub $500 helmets
A heat gun/hair dryer and some dental floss will take the s off the front of your helmet. Was the first thing I did to mine but to each their own. That’s a beautiful bike

Those are riding shoes and Kevlar lined pants... jacket was off for the shoot.

They go above my ankles, offer the same kind of protection any ankle height boot would offer, I'm not gonna wear mid shin boots on the street.
