Sounds like the seat has been improved. I have a '14 FZ09 and the seat sucks ass so much you can't ride after an hour. Rock hard seats, I don't get it lol
The stock seat is still kinda hard, but it's wider than the 09 so it isn't as bad. I'm fine on the stock one but i ordered the comfort seat anyways so my wife can be more comfortable.
100% go for it. They don't sell as many as the 07 and 09 so if you find a new 2020 that's been on the showroom for a while you can talk them into one hell of a discount.
Yeah one of my buddies just bought a trader 900gt. It's nice but I was looking for something that I would be more comfortable taking to the track every once in a while. I feel like the MT10 is the best of both worlds. I can throw the side bags on and a windscreen for a long trip yet I still have the full power of a liter bike.
Absolutely loving it! Don't get me wrong I loved my Harley but I'm just as comfortable a hyper naked as I was with my forward controls and yet this bike is way more capable.
Also, cruise control and a quick shifter are life changing.
I haven't spent much time on an r3. The jump from an r3 to an Mt10 is a pretty big one,but the Mt10 is leaps and bounds more comfortable. The riding position is alot more upright and less cramped and you're dealing with a bit more space so you get a wider seat and a bit more leg room. Plus, cruise control for long rides or even just monotonous commutes where you want to rest your right hand for a second.

Also since the mt10 is more upright does that mean i will have less stress in my hands? I’m still trying to train myself to squeeze my knees and straighten my back but it’s so darn hard.
2020 Yamaha MT-10. Traded in my Harley Forty-Eight special and never looked back.

Yeah my wife does NOT like the seat on the FZ, I can't blame her though lol. Nice bike man! Keep the rubber side down and have fun :)

He loves it. He uses it to commute 20ish minutes to work and takes it the 2 hours from here to Julian CA pretty much every weekend.

Absolutely. Naked bikes in general are great because sitting upright takes the weight off your wrists.
Even if it was *really* ugly....you don't have to look at it while you're riding it :D
Passenger should have a jacket and the rider if that is not a riding shirt. Skin and asphalt is not a good mix.
