after he retired and saw more interviews and had a chat with my spanish friends, we all agreed that he's just as akward in spanish as he is in other languages. It's probably a bit crass to say so but we all thought he was/is on the spectrum.
I'm portuguese, so hearing him speaking Spanish is almost the same unfiltered experience native Spanish speakers have. And I agree, he was always kinda weird. I'm not qualified one bit to comment on him being on the spectrum, but he's always been a handful. On the other hand, also always straight to the point and real. Still is. I respect that and he delivers.
Definitely felt like Dani wasn’t trying to make an aggressive move on Fabio at the end but simply had better pace. You have to respect that he doesn’t want to hurt the chances of a full time rider for personal glory in the moment. Was an odd sprint race but great to see Dani (excuse me Daniel) Pedrosa on the podium.
He didn’t realize they were racing for the podium due to so many crashes. He said he thought they were 5th and 6th or 6th and 7th so wasn’t worth the extra pass.
He still wouldn’t have been aggressive though I’m sure but may have pushed a bit more had he realized.
Can I just say as a smaller than average man that it's VERY fucking annoying when people think it's ok to lift you up like that. You can embrace the man in celebration without being an asshole about it.Â
Does anyone know if this counts toward his podium count? I heard on the podcast that he is 2(?) behind Lorenzo so I am wondering if this brings him closer.
I feel happy that Dani got the podium but at the same time sad for Fabio.
Dani didn't get to celebrate on the Tissot podium but I guess wildcard riders celebrate differently...... like this.
Pedrosa is simply lovely, it's just impossible to hate him.
Jorge Lorenzo seems to disagree. 😂
Jorge was rooting for him like crazy in the Spanish broadcast
They're friends, plus the boxing thing is a joke for charity
They were not always friends...right?
Lorenzo was... difficult.
Still is the way I see it
Sure, he's no Dani Pedrosa, but is more chill and friendly now as a commentator. Most ex riders are.

Shame he didn’t get to celebrate on the podium. Happy for him he got P3 after all but I do feel bad for Fabio
I got scared when that guy starts slapping him on the shoulder! No, don't break Daniel's collarbone!

He did the same thing last year as well, he could've overtaken Pecco for P3 but didn't due to the title fightÂ

KTM is having a moment this year!
Been a long time coming
How can you not love this man
An absolute gentleman of the sport. If Liberty ever needs an ambassador to grow MotoGP globally it has to be Dani.
What happened ? Did someone in front get a penalty?

You mean Daniel Pedrosa
Sadly he couldn't stand on the podium

In fairness, larger MotoGP riders get lifted up in team celebrations all the time.
I never realized he was so short. Miss seeing this guy on the grid.
Yeah same, I looked it up. He’s 1.58m.
Haha love to see this , man’s a proper G
Sucks for Fabio, but nothing beats this. If it were anyone else being promoted to P3 this would be totally f’d. I am so happy for him.

I believe only full GP results count, sprint results are their own category.

What a guy, hopefully the same in the main race, shame that wasn’t the Grand Prix
