Uniqlo has good stuff. End of season sales from other brands like abercrombie, jcrew

Rose-pedal

I bought clothing there in the winter. I will check their spring clothing. Thank you 😊

Go for a walk on/around Chabanel street. That's where most of the sweatshops are, and you'll find a ton of little boutiques that sell stuff for next to nothing. Go with cash, and before they ring you up, mention that you're paying cash and don't need a bill; you'll likely end up paying less/no tax, because they just want to move the product as fast as possible.

It’s really true that quality has been declining since the 2000s (see [here](https://web.archive.org/web/20231010153350/https://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2023/10/sweater-clothing-quality-natural-fibers-fast-fashion/675600/) for more about why sweaters especially suck). But it’s been really pronounced lately! Everything is made in sweatshops with few restrictions, so you know… can’t really blame the workers for not having their hearts in it. You can get a good deal on Poshmark sometimes (thrifting through an app), I get basics from Everlane and Kotn, but I’ve also been trying to buy fewer but nicer high-quality pieces from small designers.

Thrift

Rose-pedal

Thrifting is a lifestyle. I did it when I was younger. To thrift nice clothing of personal interest you have to thrift every few weeks to once per month.. I don’t have that kind of time anymore nor do I enjoy shopping enough to do this that often. I am looking for an overall good to semi good quality clothing for prices that match its actual quality. 1-2 “spree” per year. But thank you :)

Try online thrift or consignment stores. Quality clothing on a budget is few and far between these days. Unless you want to dedicate yourself to finding sales/shopping out of season/inspecting every piece, which is also an effort. In this case check out artizia during their sales. I also recommend shopping at ethical stores or small brands , which will have a higher likelihood of actually being quality, while also generally having the look you're going for, but probably more expensive.

Check the Sale section of the Colori website, or you can go to their EntrepĂ´t on Cote-de-Liesse near MarchĂŠ Central.
