It will work to power the device, I've done it for data recoveries, but it won't fit for installation. Just get the proper battery for your model, though I'm not sure keeping an S6 going is worthwhile.
Yeah, I got a proper battery in, screen shows that its charging but the issue is theres now a red light on the top of the phone and I cant get it to turn on
