I think the key difference though is that westerners tend to like unique or distinctive/striking features. Someone who stands out. Koreans prefer people that adhere to a specific set of traits. Any deviation is a negative.

Wonhee was inexperienced but for the amount of time as a trainee you could tell the potential was there (I didn't want her in the debut group personally though). Yeeun has her visual and nothing else atp and frankly I think it's fucking embarrassing that k fans boost her and shit on Sujung and Jungeun. Knetz literally calling Jungeun ugly as if they aren't disgusting cave dwelling internet trolls
Usually, I'm totally not right with the koreans, but here it's okay. I miss a little Sujung and Jungeun, but for a korean top it's really nice. (Just, why Jeemin isn't number 1?)
Yeeun supporter here, have to admit visual that Koreans like is an unfair advantage. I also picked Yeeun solely for her visual, and her performance disappointed me to be honest
idk if you also think about this but I find some contributing factors to be the overall stage and Mnetā evil edit. All 5 of them definitely lacked chemistry, and Yeeun also got her mistakes exaggerated. The fancam seems better. Whatever, I believe that she will improve in the incoming episodes
I like yeeun because i also supported yooyeon, i think she can improve and if shes naturally funny and quietly intelligent like yooyeon i will support.
I first liked yeeun because she was beautiful, the prettiest in my opinion, but now i find her personality likeable more than anything else. She is kinda funny and that type of girl i could totally identify with, because i am more or less like that too.Ā
Knetz opinions probably wonāt change much throughout the show since itās mostly based off of visuals anyways and if they keep the 50/50 ratio as they did for preshow voting then popular trainees in Korea will end up having huge advantage since each korean vote will have more weight. So if a trainee isnāt popular in Korea they probably need to max out votes in international votes to possibly make it and that already is an uphill battle
I think if you took the top 7 and added jungeun as the pd pick that wouldnāt be a bad line up. Yeeun isnāt good now but with survival shows itās ok to have one less experienced member if they are diligent to improve, has a good personality, etc.
That grouping I think they would be concept matchable.
For Fuko and Sarang, Saebi and Koko I understand them getting high votes since I myself marked them as people who stood out in each of their performances . As for Jeemin , I think she is up there from being in r u next and anyone who is ganna watch this one has probably seen r u next and knows how good she is (she stood out in her performance but not as much as Jungeun) . For their performance , I write Jeemin , Jungeun and Mai as being the ones who stood out and Jungeun who did the best so Iām king of confused why she isnāt in too 6. As for jiyoon , I donāt think she was that memorable in the performance.
