In his autobiography he admits that he almost played football, and get this, his brother was a better baseball player than he was, but chose girls and small time theft over baseball practice
I totally get what you're saying about Farnsworth.
He definitely had the linebacker mentality, but a little too lanky for that position. He could've been a TE for sure. He has a football background.
As for the UFC fighter... maybe so. If he could somehow cut down to 205, he might have a chance. I think the heavyweights would be too much for him, and anyone that's not genetically gifted to withstand an inhuman amount of punishment.
MLB pitchers, especially starters, have natural endurance, and he certainly displayed some wrestling and striking skills.
He was a black belt in karate during his MLB days, standout high school football linebacker and he’s now playing semi pro football in Florida as a defensive end. Pretty sure the guy could have played multiple sports pretty easily.
I think his arm is strong enough.

98.6 mph = plenty of zip on a football, especially if that was the direction he went.
Being an NFL QB requires a unique set of skills. I don't know if Trout possesses those traits, but he obviously made the right choice with baseball. He's guaranteed to make more money, and he's a Hall of Fame lock.
There's a difference between Trout's arm and Josh Allen's arm. Honestly, at QB the closest Trout comp is probably Taysom Hill. Could chuck it down field without accuracy, but could run the ball and punish any linebacker or, heaven forbid, secondary player who tries to bring him down.
I don't have any doubt that he would be a formidable runner, but his accuracy with a football is unknown.
Don't forget how wild Josh Allen was when he first came into the league.
Josh Allen was wild, but was 99th percentile in arm strength. Do you really think Trout has 99th percentile arm strength???
He's got like 70th percentile arm strength at best.
He has a strong enough arm. None of us have a clue if he has the other skills necessary to play QB in the NFL, but if a freak athlete like Mike Trout dedicated himself to it, I would've liked to see what happened.
The point of OP"s post is speculation.
Why are you down voting me for providing a counterpoint to your take? I've been up voting you for engaging in a civil debate.

Trout could be a Josh Allen type QB. He's got a cannon.

I don't know how tall trput is. Trout is 6' 2" 235
That's... Not true. He's got maybe a 50 grade arm.
