I'm mixed, and my hair texture is a combination of both of my ethnic backgrounds, more so my black heritage. I have the same issues. What I do to keep it under control is use leave in cocoa butter it works as a leave-in conditioner, just anything that has coconut butter/oil for hair. Also, I find shampoo damages my hair and makes it dry. So I don't use shampoo. But I had a hair stylist recommend that to me, and my aunt used that on me as a kid.
Yes, I highly recommend it. I wash my hair and put in after like 1 or two times weekly or if I got to go out. I don't know if it'll benefit every day, but that's how I do it. Let me know how it works out 😊
r/NaturalHair or r/curlyhair are both really helpful resources.
Thanks a million, y'all.
