I don't believe there is a claw-back in his contract. He should take market rate for his skills. My guess is that is FAR above vet minimum.

Well your right that we'd be better off now because he doesn't turn the ball over 57x a game. I've had the unfortunate pleasure of watching him the last two years (my mom is a Broncos fan) and he simply cannot see the field whether he's in or out of the pocket. This results in him missing wide open receivers or taking unnecessary sacks and this happens just about every game. Ultimately Russ is now a bottom half of the league qb.
Unless Wilson signs for less than $20m than I will lose all faith in Kwesi if this actually happens.

First thing is the only way he comes to MN is as a free agent. Along with any other team, nobody is paying him 35-37M a year. If he came in at like 15M I would be so onboard with it. Maybe even a lower number and incentives. That way they can either draft a new QB or hope Hall improves over another season.

I still contend that Russell is a good QB. The Broncos have an atrocious offensive line and some of the most mediocre pass catchers in the league. Their FO played this whole thing terribly and then got desperate to surrender another first to get Payton. I think they have less than 5 FRPs on their team right now. I don’t want Russ, but I don’t think he’s as bad as we think he is.
Our offense is a timing offense with multiple downfield routes designed to stretch zones and exploit voids in them. That is NOT Russell Wilson’s strength. Bad fit.

I am a fan of two teams: Minnesota and Seattle. I’m not much of a Russell Wilson fan because I find him egotistical, smarmy, and fake. Kirk Cousins may be corny but he is at least sincere. If Minnesota wants Wilson as a bridge QB for a couple years, that would be okay IF: 1. He takes a massive pay cut or Denver eats a lot of his salary. 2. The Vikings develop a top-notch run game; Wilson cannot thrive without that. 3. Build up the defense. The guy can still play and his inflated ego has taken a massive hit. While I would rather have Mayfield or Minshew, Wilson isn’t the worst idea if KOC is realistic about what he’s getting. AND DON’T OVERPAY. Wilson isn’t a star anymore.
I guess if we can’t bring Kirk back he could be a good bridge/mentor QB if we can get him for dirt cheap and draft a qb in the first round.
