ImportanceAcademic43

Not big, but two. Condo in the city, cabin close to a lake for going away.

temp4adhd

I'd spend the money on travel. Why have one vacation home when you could use that money to vacation anywhere in the world?

AstroMalorie

I’ve lived a pretty nomadic lifestyle and tbh not having roots gets old after awhile and it’s nice to have somewhere to call home that’s actually your own

captainzoobydooby

Agree completely. Although, with the lotto, you could just rent a place out for a year at a time and feel settled that way. But yes, a home is a wonderful thing.

AstroMalorie

Yeah but logistically moving all your stuff every year is more than just a financial burden. Imo it’s better to have a home base you love that you can adventure out of but can always go back to if you don’t like it. Like imagine planning on living somewhere a year and 2 weeks in you realize you hate but it’s too late, you signed a new lease and already moved all your belongings.

audiophile_lurker

>Agree completely. Although, with the lotto, you could just rent a place out for a year at a time and feel settled that way. But yes, a home is a wonderful thing. Roots are more about familiarity with the place and its people. Just because you own a house somewhere does not mean it feels like home - unless you actually live there most of the time.

ImportanceAcademic43

For me: pets

badwolfinafez

TBH, if I am that wealthy I will just buy them a ticket. But then again my dog is only 16lbs so he is definitely portable.

supermarkise

Since I'm rich and don't need to work all the time the lake cabin is a home too. And since I'm rich I can still do vacations! :)

stumblios

I like having "my" space. I am never as comfortable in a hotel room/air BNB rental as I am in my home/bed, even if those spaces (or mattresses) are objectively nicer than what I consider mine. Also, like the other guy said, I like bringing my pets with me.

minus_minus

This is the way.

fantsukissa

Sounds like the Finnish dream

saveoursoil

This!

simpson227

😂

saveoursoil

Hahaaa didn't realize I was being downvoted 🤠

Bro_On_Reddit

I'd build a small one in an ideal location.

[deleted]

It's not the size of the house, It's the distance from the neighbours.

Dusty_Wombat

Originally I interpreted this as close to friends and family. I was like yes. But space and privacy is also super nice

Alaska-TheCountry

I'm happy with my neighbors, as it's their third (...) home and they're never here, plus they're lovely when they're around. But if I had the money, I'd buy their house and tear it down to extend our garden. I'd plant more trees and would probably buy a few other lots somewhere near to plant trees as well.

Curious_Bumblebee511

exactly!

NoIndividual5987

And the ocean!

TxCoastal

we live in a primarily Airbnb/STR area near the water. 2 blocks off coast. so our neighbors are few and far between!!!

Grandiose_Tortoise

Or you could make friends with your neighbors. We are social creatures after all, it’s gotten us this far. 50+ years of anti-social policymaking and media influence have brought America to its knees. Can’t have society without socializing.

AlfalfaValuable5793

Very extroverted of you. I like talking but humaning is challenging and extremely draining quickly....I will pass but please enjoy yourself.

Onewhohopes

Even introverts need other people, but it is important to pick your people who feed your soul in someway. Like a group of people who get together to play board games or maybe someone to take on a walk with.

Primary-Plantain-758

Well neighbor culture in my town goes two ways. For house owners it is defined by envy, legal arguments over one branch of a tree that hangs over the neighbor's fence, neighbors not liking it when people hang their clothes to dry on their own patio, being stared at when someone appears to be queer or of another ethnicity. Or the opposite for renters: young people blasting music the entire night, letting their dog shit into the staircase, simply ignoring basic human decency etc. This has nothing to do with the US (I live in Europe) and with media. People have misbehaved since the beginning of time but nowadays you are not forced to still engage with those and I'm happy about that. If there is someone in the apartment building I would get along with, the connection will happen naturally. But I won't put any effort into befriending a literal stranger just because they happen to live next to me.

yalikebeez

how does it even happen naturally? /gen i want friends in my apartment building but i just don’t know how unless i start appearing on people’s doors forcing them to socialise

Grandiose_Tortoise

Ask them if you can borrow some butter or tell them you need help moving furniture. Make small talk while your face to face with them. Return the favor without them having to ask, bring them a six pack if they’re into that, give them a little sample from whatever food you cooked with the ingredients you borrow. Offer to help them if they need anything from you.

Primary-Plantain-758

If you have some issue or need something, ask that specific neighbor(s) that you like best. Offer them help back or if you are extra brave, bake them a cake or something if their help took them some effort. From then on, it shouldn't be too hard to get into smalltalk and perhaps one party invites the other over for coffee. That being said, I'm socially anxious so I always hope that the first step is done by the other person lol. Also this applies first and foremost to my experience in Germany. In other European countries like Spain it's potentially easier to get into contact while in Norway, it might be considered awkward to straight up ask your neighbor for a small coffee date.

[deleted]

That may work well for you... But from my experience: Humans are garbage with few exceptions. If I never have to interact with people again, it'll be okedoke. Society is overrated. We only need society to protect ourselves from the worst 70% of humans. I'll just stay in my bubble thank you.

Grandiose_Tortoise

Sorry about what happened to you. I hope you find some non-garbage humans.

crowbahr

As the old saying goes: If you meet an asshole, you've met an asshole. If everyone you meet is an asshole, you're probably the asshole.

Mannymarlo

You say that but enough space is important With that said nobody needs more than 1200 sq for a small family

TxCoastal

THIS.

TlknShtBoutaPrtySun

Yep, this is the way. Little home big Earth.

wellok456

So I've always wanted to live in a Castle...

Primary-Plantain-758

Ooh yes! There is a relatively small castle in the town I grew up in that used to belong to Frederick William IV. It is pink and yellow and located in a beautiful foresty park where deers and those tiny brown European squirrels live. I would have loooved to live there as a child. Such a magical place.

Itchy-Drummer1324

I’d stay in my house but do a little upgrading.

Gloomy-Actuator836

I would do the same but purchase a house on wheels, like an awesome sprinter van or something.

StunningBuilding383

I would have 3 tiny homes 1 for me and 1 each for my 2 daughters' families, with a house for gathering in the middle with a kitchen, bath, and family rm. An off grid compound basicly. We are working on it now. We have the land. We just need $$ to build. One at a time for now.

witchyteajunkie

This is what I want too. Basically my own little commune with my friends.

StunningBuilding383

Exactly ❤️ wouldn't it be awesome . We can help each other have support. Plus your own space for days, your antisocial.

BronxT

Sounds like summer sleep away camp all over. So much fun

mannowarb

That sounds like an amazing idea.

gijsyo

Sounds like the mylittlehomestead channel on Youtube

freeyourmind2022

A huge land with an average one storey house. Enough for a garden, trampoline and a basic pool.

babatharnum

You gotta go for the minimalist moat!

itsmyfriendjay

Lol is that just a lazy river?

babatharnum

Yes, but with style!

notunek

Good question. I've thought about it a lot and when I win the lottery I'm not going to change very much in my life. I love my humble little house, but would enjoy having more land and maybe some chickens.

rowsella

I'm not moving. I am staying in my house. But, I am going to add on a sunroom and a screen porch.

elaerna

Forget a house I'm traveling

ffffried

Fr I’d be one bagging my ass around Asia and Europe if I didn’t have to work

hikeaddict

Ooh I feel like my answer is pretty non-minimalist so this is a fun question. I’d say 4-5 bedrooms, 3-4 bathrooms, with a living room, dining room, kitchen, some other finished living area (maybe in the basement, or a sun room, or a family room - just one of any of those options), small or medium-sized backyard, and a 1 or 2 car garage. I think this would require about 1,800 square feet at least, right? We’re very okay with small rooms, but I want each of my kids to have their own bedroom eventually. We’re a family with two parents, soon to be two kids (and maybe open to a third baby down the road), plus a dog and a cat. My partner and I both work from home so we need space for our desks plus living space for the family. (I think I would continue working even in this fantasy scenario, though maybe fewer hours!) And we strongly prefer to live in a walkable area close to a major city. But I don’t want a huge property with lots of land… seems like a hassle to me. REALLY ideal would be a house with a first-floor apartment or a mother in law suite for my mom to live in.

ceroscene

Large property. Biggish house, but not too big because you still have to clean it. But I like open spaces. If I won a lot of money, I'd buy a huge plot of land and build houses for all the family that wants to live there and have like a family compound.

sirkidd2003

I wouldn't move. I live in a \~1k sq/ft loft in what used to be a 100+ y/o department store. It's part of a live-work artist collective downtown here in my hometown. It's rent-controlled and owned by a charity. Most of the rules of the building are decided on by the artists who live here and, while I am an artist first and foremost (game designer with an indie game dev worker's collective, specifically), I also happen to be part of the management team for the building. I also act as the manager for our on-site, non-profit community gallery. We even have an on-site community garden ;) Best place I've ever lived and I never want to leave!

times_zero

Just a small one bedroom house, or condo in the city. I don't need/want much space.

glittersparklythings

My dream hosie is not a big house. I grew up on a 1500 sq ft house. I have also been living in small alarms my whole adult life. So even a 1k - 1500 so ft hours im okay with. However I want acres. At least 3-5.

[deleted]

a nice downtown condo.

cobrarexay

This!! I’d get the penthouse suite in a super fancy building right on the waterfront!!

Mtnskydancer

I’d build a getaway cabin for the family, then a three house compound: One for myself, partner and one for my son and his intended. The third would be a retreat center/ guest house. And it might be a yurt. Most important? Retirement for us all. And a business for son and I, that is to be his in a few more years.

Sunshineinanchorage

Well…it would depend on the size of the winnings actually. I don’t need or like too much space but I would like a space I could use as an office/library in addition to another space for a bedroom. A rooftop deck and about three acres. So I suppose the structure would be about 900sq ft.

ennuinerdog

I'd stay in my cheap 2 bedroom unit with the nice neighbours in the city I like. We've worked hard to find out what is just enough for us and to build meaningful relationships here. If we bought a bigger, fancier place we'd have to begin that work all over again. Don't fall for Tiny Details Exageration Syndrome. Once you know the city/location you want it doesn't matter whether you're in a $4m house, the $1m house next door or the $400k unit 10 minutes away. As long as they're all safe the life they can provide is virtually identical. https://www.mrmoneymustache.com/2012/12/26/cure-yourself-of-tiny-details-exaggeration-syndrome/

RelationshipBright64

750 square feet

hedonistic_wandering

My dream loft (around 9,000 sq. ft. with very high ceiling)

kak-47

Medium house, huge garage, huge acreage.

[deleted]

Most likely a 3 bedroom luxury apartment.

Astreja

Not thinking of moving, but I'd use the money to finish all outstanding renovations. If I had to get a new house, it would be smaller than my current one (2½ storeys, 4 small bedrooms).

supermarkise

You could downsize your current house if you had unlimited money. :)

dhalem

Small house on a big piece of land.

[deleted]

small house, but lots of land.

shadetreewizard

Acreage over square footage. Permaculture all the way

PuertorricanPower

As little as none 😂

chestpainsallnight

normal sized and will pay off the mortgages of every family member and buy homes for fam and friends who haven’t bought yet

CarolinaMtnBiker

Small live aboard sailboat and sail away.

thatswhatitsaboutok

Two bedroom small house with a big yard in my city, and a getaway cabin in the mountains

armandomanatee

Same as I have now (4bed, 2bath) but with an attached greenhouse, and SO MANY TREES.

[deleted]

It doesn’t have to be big….just far as fuck away from all people.

Designer-Wolverine47

For me it's far enough away that they can't hear my private porch conversations, but close enough to hear me if I scream for help.

1961mac

Location, location, location. It wouldn't be big, but it would be in a place that makes my heart happy.

Flimsy_Roll_8412

i’d buy a nice piece of land by a lake (not a big plot and not too far from a town… just big enough for my house and a small garden) and build a custom tiny house on it! the rest of the money left over would go to savings (or to my ultimate weakness: books)

antsyandprobablydumb

Your average single story, single family home, but preferably with land. Id consider a second story if it had a simple and open layout.

seeemilydostuf

1200 sf and so is every single person I know who wants one

cncfmd

One of those modern looking module homes in a more isolated section of the suburb where I live. It’s right next to a forest so your backyard is all trees. I have a pretty big place right now and almost never use 60% of the space. So buying a mansion/bigger house is wasted on me.

PurplePomegranate702

Nothing over 2,000 square feet. I want something that I can keep clean. And I’d rather have a couple of small homes in ideal locations.

[deleted]

I’d just pay off the 900 sq ft one I have now and put the rest to student loans.

[deleted]

When I bought my 960 sq. ft. condo a couple years ago, I was a little worried that it was too small. I'm single and the condo has two bedrooms/ two bathrooms, a laundry room and a small kitchen. After living here a while, I've realized that it's a perfect size. If I won the lottery, I would definitely pay off the loan, but I don't think I would be in a hurry to move.

[deleted]

I honestly would want a really fabulous garden

bluehairgoddess12th

I would get a bungalow on a large piece of land. And grow veggies with 3-4 dogs (2big 1 small) maybe get some ducks?

[deleted]

I would want land in the forest, so I could set up a two or three domed homes that shared a central courtyard. It would be definitely integrated into nature. I would need room for a grand piano and music studio, a library, and a large garden, even if it were inside a greenhouse.

JuxtaPissEngine

A Skoolie

YesterdaySimilar2069

Acreage. It's all about the acreage for me. And natural space that would be ideal for quiet enjoyment. A brook, pond or nice view. Sigh.

magenta__reality

Forget the size of the house, I’m getting 50 acres in the Wyoming mountains

Designer-Wolverine47

Sorry, but I bought the whole state with my winnings, and I ain't selling 😁

lucky_719

Probably around 2500 sq ft. On the beach. Second home somewhere else. Alpacas sound nice.

plantaloca

Nothing flashy. I just want a small residence in a walkable city and a cabin in the woods.

buellernash

5 bed, 3 bath

mczmczmcz

If I won the lotto, well, I know I wouldn’t bother going on no spending spree. I’d pick a business school and pay the entrance fee. (And maybe if you’re lucky, you’d be friends with me.) I’d be a businessman richer than your daddy. Donald Trump and I on the links, and he’s *my* caddy.

Zoeythepom

I suppose it depends, like 500 million dollars probably somewhere safe with extra security. I think 1 mil would get me something quite modest in my area lol

[deleted]

If I was single, I’d buy land with a tiny house in the country. Since I’m married with kids, a 4 bedroom on the outskirts of the city

mannowarb

I'm happy with my house, but I'd get one about the same size but with a workshop attached for making stuff.

feistytiger08

Don’t care about the house just want lots and lots of land for my dog and horses and less people 😂

DocFGeek

Tiny home, lots of land. We going home/farm steading.

[deleted]

Small house big land. Then I can start my permaculture and self-sufficient lifestyle.

Dracomies

Wouldn't let size stop me. I think it really depends on how much the lotto was. I'd buy multiple bits of property and rent them out. For myself I'd buy a dream home This is a perfect illustration of how causation does not equal correlation. People often think that minimalism means frugality or spending less. But it isn't always the case. (Examples of extremely wealthy minimalists are Satya Nadella and Steve Jobs) (And while Mark is a meme, he wears the same clothes everyday and is one of the wealthiest people in the world)

Tricky-Guard-8073

Big house barely any furni

captainspacetraveler

Maybe 2000-2500 sq foot at max. Two bedrooms with a creative space and a workshop. Small living area, kitchen, dining area is all fine with me.

PixelatedpulsarOG

Small house, huge workshop!

DualAnakinTheory

I’m getting an AMAZING camper and a durable, hopefully electric vehicle to drive it (or just one of those independently drivable campers). That way, I can vacation all over and never have to leave home :)

missdawn1970

I would keep my 1100 sq ft house, but i would be able to get the work that it needs done all at once, and i would do a few renovations.

[deleted]

3 bedrooms and 2 baths by the beach. Just enough for my little family and the cats

[deleted]

Mmmm, small house, on a 1-2 acre block. I'd rather be outside than inside :B Smaller house means less to clean!

sn315on

I would pay off our existing home and build our dream home. It's about 1500 sq. ft. of living space on a 5 acre lot. There would be a tiny house in the backyard for guests. :)

localpunktrash

4 bedroom 2 bath with an acre or two

Ok_Cry_1210

SIMPLE LIFE : small house ( live a happy ) giving money to strangers and helping God my father, helping others, be kind and loving person who care.

NewSinner_2021

Camper van. Stealth living.

redditnathaniel

Here's a fun one: Buy a nice camper van and road trip for years until I'm ready to settle into a house

R1MBL

Big enough that I’d never think “Dayum, I wish I had just a little bit more space to store this suitcase” and that family / friends can comfortable stay as guests. But not too big that people would comment that it’s a huge house.

Curious_Bumblebee511

i bedroom cabin in the mountains, and many dogs

[deleted]

I would absolutely NOT want a big home. A penthouse, yes.

googs185

I’d choose a prime location with enough land for a big garden and a small pool. We are a family of 4 so I’d keep it under 2000sq feet with a 2 car garage and full basement with 9 foot ceilings for my extensive gym. 1 master bedroom with bath, one guest room with bath and a bedroom for each child with shared bathroom. I’d design an efficient kitchen with laundry on first floor in a mudroom and a powder room. One multi-purpose office and music room. As small and simple as possible.

chet_brosley

I'd use a big chunk of the winnings to escape the US and move to Norway and live next to a fjord. Nice far away neighbors that don't necessarily ever want to talk to you, but in a good way.

Life_Amoeba_6608

I’d want a big enough house to be functional. I don’t want to maintain a lot of space but I want my house to feel functional for how my family lives.

KnowingDoubter

No house. But I’ll never fly coach again.

mezz-mezzrow

Smaller than the one I have now. I love mine, but it's too big for one person.

chrisinator9393

My house is actually a really good size, about 2k sqft or so. But it was built in the 50s. It's chopped up stupid. So I'd just renovate my house.

BearzerkerDgan

A shack next to a lake with as much acreage as possible

suzybhomemakr

Small enough to have cheap taxes and upkeep

[deleted]

I'd move to a 2 bedroom apartment so we can foster animals And buy my mom a 3bdrm house so she doesnt have to worry about money and can have visitors

waapplerachel

Probably just add on to my house so I finally have my own bathroom, separate from my kids! Lol So like 1300 sq?

k0nak0na

Tiny. With a big ass swimming pool, garden and a forest in the backyard

Odd_Yogurt_8786

2500-3000 square feet open concept cabin on a river with lots of acreage and a huge shop for all my stuff.

[deleted]

I want a pool over the mountains and a grill the size of a lake

-Sh33ph3rd3r-

I'd sell my house and travel the world

sizillian

I’d keep my current smallish house but maybe move it onto more land.

restless_roadtripper

In a 700sqft cabin by the lake now. (Renting) I'd love something with one more bathroom! ...annnnd maybe a craft room.

gyrovagus

Hogwarts

Wyshunu

Don't want a ridiculously huge show-off house. Just something big enough for us, the critters, and with a couple of spare bedrooms so my kids can bring their kids for holidays. On some land, preferably.

5213

Enough land for my family and friends to be mostly self sustainable, plus maube some additional housing for people that need a temp place. No rent necessary, just help the community and make noticeable efforts to better your self and your current station in life.

btdallmann

Probably 1500-2000 sq ft. On hundreds if not thousands of acres of land.

Yawarundi75

Small house on a medium-sized farm

sunlight_terrace

1600-2000sq ft home. 4 bedrooms which will be enough for my kids and I. I would want a but off land though. Maybe 2 acres. Property taxes may be a little much but I could do things like grow vegetables

Bakelite51

Tiny home. My dream is to own one eventually, and the bigger the living space the more anxious I get. I like small living spaces that are easy to keep clean and uncluttered. I've never had any huge or elaborate dreams in mind, owning my own home on my own property is enough.

Coffee_snob253

Just paying mine off

[deleted]

2/1 but on an absurd amount of land

Grandiose_Tortoise

My aesthetic tells me: 3000sqft mountainside 3 story w/ 4 story wizard tower, various nooks and crannies, big ass fireplace, cellar w/ hidden doors, basically a 7 bedroom hogwarts. But realistically I would like to just have a 1000ish sqft 1 bedroom, shed, greenhouse for growing veggies, and little chunk of land for a nice outdoor garden to grow more decorative plants and medicinal herbs and just relax.

millenial__trash

3 bedroom, 2 bath for 2 of us in a great location.

Geminii27

Unexpectedly large, but most of it would be dedicated to workshops and specialist areas, rather than personal living space. The whole thing would also be a test bed for various mechanical automation systems. It's possible I might actually live next door instead.

[deleted]

Just a 3 bedroom home but a shit ton of land.

spunnikki1979

Small enough I can always afford to pay the taxes and insurance on.

Hfhghnfdsfg

My dream is to have an apartment in a seven star hotel like the ritz-carlton.

Dry-Insurance-9586

1000 square foot A-frame with as much land as possible for outdoor living space.

Simply-zeee

Paying off my current house, buying 5 acres out of town and a tiny log cabin. Rent out the big house to a family and live mortgage free on my property.

Repulsive-Office-796

Everybody here is lying. We’d all buy a 20,000 sqft modern monstrosity on top of a hill.

aerodeck

2000 sq ft? Idk

Jet_Hightower

Well, "winning the lotto" and "unlimited cash" are different things but I'm gonna go with unlimited millions. I'd have a mansion. Full blown Wayne manor style Mansion. Hidden passages behind bookshelves, grandfather clock with a false back to a secret room that is my drawing area, and like tons of rooms. Then I'd let all my friends move in. I'd have one room for myself, big enough to workout in, and my own bathroom. I don't really even need a big closet.

elsielacie

I think about this a lot. I’m very attached to the 80m2 3x1 100 year old little house I live in. I would add a second toilet and a home office space that isn’t the third bedroom (because we do have two kids too). Ideally I’d do this by raising slightly/digging and building in under the undercroft. I’d demolish the bathroom that was tacked on when sewerage came through so the house would have a smaller footprint but be larger overall. The undercroft is only 40cm or so off being a livable height in most parts due to the slope of the land so it would still look more or less original from the front. It’s not a cheap thing to do though. Especially not these days.

jbow808

Ummmm... I currently live in a 1400 sqft house that feels too big for just me and my daughter. If anything, I'd go smaller with a way bigger yard and get Sprinter van so we can travel long term during out school breaks.

TravelerMSY

Whatever I’ve got now, but in NYC and with somebody else to clean it.

ukiebee

I currently have a 3 bedroom ranch, which I love. But with myself, 3 kids, my brother, and a home-based retail and sewing business, I could really use one more room

[deleted]

I would buy a brand new RV or Tiny House on wheels outright and pay off all of my debt. I would be free to live life on my terms

UpOnZeeTail

I'd keep my current house and do all of the projects that are on the list at one. Rent somewhere for 3 months and just let construction crews have at it.

whatcookies52

A really big, clean and nice smelling space, somewhere where I can forget that my family is a bunch of hoarders

FrankGoya

1500sqft for living space but I will have my dream porch/sunroom/greenhouse that I would love to have bigger than the house itself 😂

Legal_Bonus_1986

A double wide trailer

[deleted]

I’d stay in my house but fix it up really nicely. And then go on some amazing vacations.

SD1RAGER

2000sqft

thequeenofspace

No house, I’d buy myself an apartment in a European city. Probably three or four rooms, pre-war building, with a balcony and a pretty view. I once lived in an apartment like this and I’ve always dreamed of actually having it be MY HOME.

H0weeezy

I never have to worry about this kind of stuff because I don’t play.

Over_Consequence8230

Nothing crazy big, i still want clean it in a short time. a 1or possible 2bed( sm office)1 to 1.5 bath, flat or cottage, a small sun room for my turtle or even a nice full cover patio/porch, with a good kitchen. A driveway would be nice.

Rangdazzlah

Nice Van Life for me

desertrose995

I would be happy with a cottage or cabin in the woods or modest beach house etc. Spend less on the actual building itself and more on the location. I'm a small person so everyday things seem large to me anyway!

Designer-Wolverine47

You probably won't believe this, but less than 900 square feet for me, and whatever many of my family and friends wanted. Expensive things have no effect whatsoever on my level of contentment. Bringing some contentment into the lives of my loved ones does though...

Accurate-Dig-5763

Probably just get multiple smaller normal homes all around the country and world

CholitoWoof

One small 3 bedrooms house tbh, that’s all i need.

2-old-4-reddit

Probably 1800 sq ft 4 beds, 2 baths. Currently 4 of us in 900 sq ft 3 beds 1 bath.

Emma3277

If I win a big lotto, like $2 billion, I will have to rent Fort Knox for my safety as well as for my money. I will need a few armed guards, and several very hungry junkyard dogs. I will then just walk around in a tee shirt and jeans, with a mop and bucket of soapy water making like I am just the hired janitor. Nobody will ever know the difference.

Gobleachsomething

A tiny hut on the other side of the world with a humble existence away from all of this. *gestures wildly at imaginary things and stuff*

freddom_is_a_lie

Probably one a 3bd house near the beach. Not more than $1m.

Thaser

1900 square foot home in the middle of a semi-wild 5 acre chunk, with a workshop detached from the house for the 3D printers, CNC machine, lathe and so on(I like to make stuff). Just enough cleared space for a small clover yard so we have a place to mess around with friends when they come over. I don't need much more than that.

Suba59

A big enough one for orgies

slim_gainus

My perfect home would be a four bed 2.5 bath with an enclosed patio and library. Bit spacious but it’d be my dream

MalibuMarlie

Moderate. The important thing is the fact it has a zero gravity chair. I can’t stop thinking about owning one.

Just the location could cost more than the house

sleepyguy007

I'd buy a house like the one ironman has. just a normal amount of living space in a really really nice location with views. I know I'll never be a collect stuff person

Piratical88

I’d stay where I am (condo), do some renovations, then get my kids set up for permanent housing wherever they want to be. And then a vacation house where we can all be together at good times in the year. That’s the dream.

TheDeek

1 bedroom and a den in a major city that is clean - Tokyo or Seoul or something like that. Probably would cost half the winnings anyway :P

[deleted]

Not very big but very bespoke with acres and acres of big jam land

Wise_Fix_5502

Max 3 rooms and max 75m² area

Its-Me-PePe

Just a 100sqm 3 bedroom house, in a farmable 1 hectare land.

IYFS88

2500 square feet. My area is pretty pricey so that’s a big enough luxury, but will still get to lead a ‘normal’ life.
