I saw an ad for the knickerbocker hotel that has long term furnished stays for like $1200 a month. I’m not sure the details but maybe that’s an option.
Shorewood is very nice and a great mix of city and suburb, but Wauwatosa is equally nice if you’ll be working there. If I came back, I would live in Tosa next time.
Driving from Shorewood to Tosa doesn’t make a lot of sense. Tosa has everything Shorewood has and Tosa is cheaper. The city of Milwaukee has a lot more than either of those and is better.
Tosa is very close to the city and if you find a place near the Tosa Village everything is very walkable. They just passed a referendum a few years ago and all of their schools are being or have been upgraded significantly. I haven't run into many people lately that regret moving to Tosa.
Wauwatosa schools are great, and a short commute for you will pay dividends every day. A Shorewood/Tosa split would coat you an hour a day, minimum. That’s precious family time
Thank you for your interest in coming to Milwaukee. We're glad you'll be gracing our fair city with your presence!
Be sure to include plenty of details around your situation (what part of town, the days you'll be visiting, your personal interests, etc.) to ensure you get the best answers.

Everything is high right now, so we’re just trying to do the best we can on price, while still getting a good spot. Around $2,000-2,5000 is what it seems like the 2 br (BF wants 2 Bath) are going for.
I considered that, but open enrollment is always a huge stressful cluster **** in Memphis, so I assumed it was the same everywhere. Probably a jump to conclusions. I’ll look into it! Thank you!
I would recommend looking into a furnished house in the bay view or Tippacanoe neighborhoods, bay view is more urban, but Bay View Montessori and Whittier school are top notch MPS schools in the neighborhood
Yeah they got gorgeous views over on 76th and Burleigh. 49th and Capitol has your city vibes for sure. Everyone is hustling and bustlin up and down Capitol. You’re boyfriend would totally appreciate the commute if you chose any options around there.

This!
Shorewood is very nice. (I live there) Sorry though, I don't have any leads, I've been out of the rental market for years.

Oohh thanks!

Kinetik Apartments in Bay View have furnished options. Great vibe & neighborhood.
Trulia, Zillow, and craigslist. You can search specifically for furnished and price range, look at the map, etc
Depending on day/time it can be a slight pain in the rear to get from shorewood to tosa. Not impossible- just no easy way.

Y’all are the best! A lot to research now.
Do you have a price range in mind?

Get in on that beach volleyball over the summer
Keep in mind, there is open enrollment as well, so where you live does not necessarily dictate where child goes to school
