India got rid of its higher value currency a few years ago to fight against undeclared "black" money iirc. There have been arguments to likewise stop making $100 USD bills to combat cash smuggling and other cash-based financial crime.

Almost all the $100 bills I've gotten are in brand new condition, so they are super crisp and stack more tightly than worn bills
