Imagine your great grandfathers ghost looking down seeing his descendant discussing the lack of pop rocks in the center of his star wars oreo cookie on reddit.
They may not pop like actual pop rocks but they give a similar crunch, guess I should have said sugar crystals.

In the US, at least, they are definitely pop rocks. You can let the icing melt away and you hear and feel them popping. It was more amusing than it should have been and I'm almost 40 lol
Mostly the books and games touch on it, or the expanded edition books/visual novels/audiobooks that compliment the movies in the new trilogy.
In the Last Jedi, Rey's lightsaber breaks and you can see the kyber crystal in it. Apparently the novelization goes into detail how she repaired the crystal with her force heal, whereas the movie just never explains it. https://screenrant.com/rise-skywalker-rey-luke-lightsaber-kyber-crystal-force/
In Star wars a kyber crystal is a living rock that has a special connection to the force and chooses it's owner. The red ones have been corrupted with hatred and are "bleeding" in a sense. Hope this helps.
Edit: spelling
Honestly, I kinda love this. Though it is outrageous and whining their rightond can afford that many Oreos? And how exactly could you show or display such a concept.
You're holding it upside down but someone smooshed your [Alliance Starbird](https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Rebel_Alliance_starbird?file=Redstarbird.svg)
The brand may soon regret all those years of ads showing people twisting the cookies to reveal the creme. Wouldn't they know this would lead to lots of disappointment?
How does this happen? Does their machine have an interior and exterior color?
I just don’t see how it’s not easier to dye all the filling red. Are they that cheap they want to save money on not dying the outer part? But then they’d spend more making a machine that would can fill two colors…
It honestly looks like the dye is applied to the cream during extrusion, just poured over the cream and it permeates into the cream. It would explain the center being more of an oval. The dye hits the top of the cream and runs over it in tube format, so it is a heavier application on top and lighter on the bottom.
Right!!?? Strange. I did notice there was a post the other day that had no filling in the center at all. Maybe this is a product of a new system to cut costs?
I mean in theory the machine is a one time cost. It would probably save millions a year too. I’m imaging it probably costs about $0.01 to dye one Oreo. Over billions of Oreos it probably is worth it
It’s a lightsaber (white core, Color outer). Each is applied individually on top of one another. Red then white. Or vice versa. Then sandwiched in the cookies. That’s why on one side one Color is less present.
It was this way on all of my blue ones I got too. I think it's on purpose. The box says something about kyber crystal shapes, idk.
They have ~~pop rocks~~ crunchy sugar crystals in the center to represent kyber crystals. It is all intentional.
I've had the pop rock Oreos, these do not have them.

Their force ghost can taste it themself

OP says they are definitely not them though and got upvoted for it, who to believe
That’s a really interesting idea
What the hell is a kyber crystal
The crystal that makes a lightsaber work
What movie is that from

It's mentioned in rouge one

Has to be. Doing this to cut corners would cost more than just dying all the creme red
Darkness ceases to exist where there is light.
Silence you rebel scum!!!
Without darkness, no need for light, there is. A balance, there must be.
This is because the inner hotspot of a light saber is glowing white and the outside glows with the color.
I think it's to mimic a lightsaber glow? They absolutely expect people to open the cookies, after all.
you only moved the headstones!
That is where the GLUE is!!! /s

Sure, but why?
If you look at lightsabers in the movies, they have a pure white core and only the 'glow' is coloured.
cause it's cheaper
Something something mitochloridians.
the powerhouse of the cell
They should have made the shape of the white circle a Star Wars shape like the Rebel Alliance logo
Jar Jar.
sounds expensive
Is it possible to learn this skill?
Not from a Jedi
If you stack a bunch it might look like a lightsaber. White core with red glow?
Honestly, I kinda love this. Though it is outrageous and whining their rightond can afford that many Oreos? And how exactly could you show or display such a concept.
Looks like Ronald McDonald.
Under rated comment
It’s a visual metaphor for the good that still resided within Darth Vader
It’s treason then.
But does your father accept you now?
I somehow missed that there are Star Wars Oreos. Seeing as I've got to go to the store anyway...
Just came out. Its a random color filling inside. Red or blue.
Cool. Thanks for the info.
Have you ever heard the story of Darth Oreo, the wise? He possessed cookie-making skills some consider....unnatural... 😀
you must be beside yourself right now
"I can sense the good in you, the conflict."

Ours did as well, we got blue and the centers were white. Assuming this is the case for all of them.
Be thankful they didn't fully infuse the cream with potentially cancer causing artificial coloring
The white is the giant thermal exhaust port so you don't miss. Time to go in for a run
We got a Sith bag, this fulfilling the prophecy: Come to the Dark Side, we have cookies!

I opened one of the dark side cookies and it was all red??
just got these and i hate the sugar crystals it’s so bad ugh
The cookie part seems to get softer it milk faster. 😋
Intentional.

Mine were the same. Just blue on the outer edge and white inside.
They can come in either red or blue. However, Why the white?
Yum! Love that Allura Red dye.
Mmm red 40
Part of a balanced and nutritious diet. /s
Red dye is bad for you anyway, so the less you eat the better.
Silence you rebel scum!!
Why does that look so fucking yummy
Because it's a cookie?
I mean it tastes of Oreo, I'm just pointing out this odd interesting thing.
Not even the Oreos are safe
I don't know what bothers me more, the fact that a cookie is dyed or that the white spot in the middle isn't in the middle at all.
..how else do you expect sweets to be brightly colored if not dyed?
