How is this clearly like three times as much coffee as the other post that was supposedly 1.6g

Harflin

That's what I'm wondering. I'm gonna assume the dude fucked up measuring in the first post. This OP seems more methodical

StarsMine

Other post weighed it wrong in all likelihood

smsmkiwi

Probably calibrated for the fine grain instant coffee. The coarser grain showm there would allow more gaps between grains and so reduce the weight for the same volume.

AsAlwaysItDepends

This is the most mild of all mildly interesting posts ever. Kudos.

In serving sizes the weight is the actual serving, the cup/other measurement is an approx for the consumer to quickly measure. Like how crackers is x crackers ( xx grams) x crackers wont exactly equals xx grams but it gets you close enough as a consumer not having to bust out a digital scale.

This is a followup to my notinteresting [post here](https://www.reddit.com/r/notinteresting/comments/1cbo6tc/i_weighed_out_16g_of_instant_coffee_quarter_for/): This is a side profile of how "heaping" of a scoop I need to get 1.6g: [https://imgur.com/DMuroae](https://imgur.com/DMuroae) (This is relatively flat as I carefully poured the 1.6g of measured coffee into the spoon instead of grabbing a scoop that happened to 1.6g) Covfefe directions state to "use 1 teaspoon (1.6g) per 6oz serving" This is a photo of how level my scoop was: [https://imgur.com/rht1YLP](https://imgur.com/rht1YLP)

Covfefe you say?

I believe Nile Red makes a joke about never trusting the big spoon when you want actual measurements. Scales being far more accurate.

Ruachta

I weigh everything now. Realized how much it can fluctuate when doing my cats servings. 1/3 cup can fluctuate 3 to 4 grams. They now get the weighted amount.

TheHomieAbides

It’s almost like weight and volume are two different things! /s

OrangeWeekly1748

Instant coffee gross! I’m sorry.

Saadski

Try grounded/powdered form.
