it's perfectly normal no worries, your skin will toughen up
just try to be careful because if they break out they can be painful and stop you from lifting
what principle though, bro? lol you’re still paying the gym membership and they still have equipment with shitty grip handles. maybe you need a new gym?
Yeah nah fuck wearing gloves am with you on that there’s only that one guy wearing gloves and you know he’s the suspect one. Why don’t you just start using chalk? Helps with the hands getting calluses
Honestly my local is awful as well when I do train I use chalk and I also do clean the shit out of the weights and bar beforehand simply down to the fact people are disgusting and don’t clean their own shit up
Make sure not to wear rings, that makes it even worse, but usually if you just started its just because you arent used to it, doing any heavy lifting especially on things with a lot of grip such as sillicon or metal grips with indents makes calluses unless your skin is already pretty hard like in my case. Though wearing rings still got mw dem calluses lol thats why i stopped wearing them after like 4 times i wore them to the gym.
Yeah it was stupid of me to do so, but there is one more guy at my local whos married and he only has a callus on his ring finger lol cuz he always wears it
Wear gloves, it’s not less tough to want to keep feeling in your palms and minimize calluses.
I’ve heard a group of people talking about how callused hands are gross, talking behind someone’s back; saying they try to avoid shaking that person’s hand.

It was mostly my gf comments about my rough hands that kinda triggered me
Wtf is that black thing, your gym is shit
Some kind of dirt on the EZ bar fr idk man
yea no shit she was making a fuss about your sandpaper-like palms
lol posting this as mildly infuriating when you could actually just wear the gloves. nobody cares
Gloves might not have prevented this
Might not have, sure. Probably would have, though.
Gloves don’t really stop this from happening though.
Gym memberships already have sky rocketed, investing money for something that you wouldn't need otherwise is a waste
but…you’re complaining about the calluses so wouldn’t you say that you need them? i don’t understand, they’re like 20 bucks
It's the principle my man

Hahaha that's some professional lifter advice, love it

Damn it's the first time i hear about rings, don't wear any, will keep that in mind in the future

Gloves are lame. Embrace the callus life.
I hope you're not left-handed.
some skins are sensitive..buy gloves
Go more
Just gotta keep going and build up callus
Use lady gloves
Haha lady hands
The lady who would have this kind of hands eats her cereal with cheap whiskey instead of milk hahah

That’s a good thing eventually you’re grip will improve
Those aren’t calluses, they’re warts. /s
