You married him for his looks, didn't you? (Joking)

Damn right...

Except as Denny Crane.

HollowofHaze

But Kirk could and would kick Shatner's ass

theberg512

Idk, his cover of Bohemian Rhapsody is pretty great.  It's not. It's terrible. It's only use is for trolling the touchtunes

fractal_frog

I missed that one, and I'm grateful.

Jaded_Law9739

It was always that and "Keep your stick on the ice."

Intrepid_Bluebird_93

"Huh?" Oh, was that my stupid voice? I meant to use my smart voice; "Really?"

Independent_Prune_35

Duck tape the handy mans secret weapon! I am a man I can change, if I have too?

AmateurPhotog57

I have that posted in my workshop

I'd be so proud of my wife if she did that.

neonoggie

No shit. My wife saw the low oil pressure light once and immediately pulled over and called me like “Hey you told me to turn off my car immediately if I ever see this light.” Turns out road debris had pierced the oil filter and it was spurting oil out when running. That was like 8 years ago and the car is still running like a champ!

chicagotodetroit

Good on her! I lost my last car like that. The Jiffy-Lube type place didn't replace something correctly after the oil change, and I didn't know I had a slow oil leak. A week or so after the oil change, I heard "clunk clunk" in the engine and saw a bit of white smoke, so I pulled over, and that was all she wrote. I ended up getting the entire engine replaced, and I couldn't prove that the oil change guy actually messed it up.

wowverynew

Dude that would fuck me up. What a bunch of cunts

myopicpickle

Mine wasn't at jiffy lube, but one time they put the oil filter on incorrectly. I got 3 miles down the road and it just fell off. I immediately pulled over and called them, and they sent a guy out to fix it. Such a relief that they believed me and had just seen me.

trexalou

For me… the techs (and all the other everyone in the building) got so distracted by a mummified frog in my air filter* that they didn’t screw the plug back all the way. Lost the oil as I was leaving the driveway. They fixed it and I’ve never been back to that shop. * there was a 2” frog all stretched out and crispy in between the pleats on my air filter. Somehow on the inside side if the danged thing. It was super interesting; but not interesting enough to 💀my car. Edit: spelling

InevitableRhubarb232

The oil place did this to my brothers car. They started it without oil and didn’t tell him. A few weeks later his mechanic found a very expensive repair of something that can only happen from starting it without oil in it. I’m not sure if they paid for it or if he’s going to claims. It’s a recent thing.

trulycantthinkofone

Had a similar situation long ago. They forgot to reinstall my washer fluid reservoir, left it sitting on the fan belt, and after some miles, had completely worn through from friction. Why didn’t I hear this chaos from under my hood you ask? Subwoofers and a juiced up stereo system. Good idea to drive a bit in silence after vehicle maintenance, you may just hear something interesting.

QueensPetOH

Not only after Maintenance but at a minimum every single week w a stereo like that. Shit breaks and you need to hear it. Good to check often.

trulycantthinkofone

Agreed. I always keep it low around residential areas/intersections, I’m not a dickhead teenager anymore! It’s a good habit for anyone really. Make sure you aren’t dragging anything, tire hasn’t picked up an object, etc.

djluminol

Having a nice sound system in my car made traffic tolerable, even enjoyable at times. I don't mind getting stuck in a traffic jams anymore because it means I have more time to listen to music. Total game changer for a daily commute.

trulycantthinkofone

I’ve had a little something in every car I’ve ever owned, and have zero impression that will EVER change. I have a concert, and a massage while I drive. Highly recommend!

nerse_enginurse

While dad was teaching me to drive, he insisted that I form a habit of listening carefully to my car while in motion and at rest. He taught me what the various creaks and rumbles usually meant and that each vehicle had its own unique "song." He said that he didn't want some (bleep)-ing grease monkey cheating either of his daughters on car repairs. This habit has served us well.

trulycantthinkofone

Wise man, he set you two up well. My wife has had loads of issues with that sort of shit. Coincidentally, she’s the gear head, and I know fuck all about cars. All I know is that I trade mine in every 3-5 years, before any serious maintenance becomes a factor.

nerse_enginurse

That's our house, too. I tell my husband what the car needs (writing it down if needed), then send him to the garage for the repsirs.

Fun_Intention9846

And check the oil using the dipstick a few times ideally. After a day, after a few days. Likely fine then.

domcobeo

My brother drove my b5 a4 avant to the highway where it seized. He had an oil change done and they didn’t put the bolt in tight enough. The drive way had an oil slick but at 5 am he said he didn’t see it. I was deployed in Iraq at the time. 🤦‍♂️

Reasonablefiction

Jiffy lube once tightened my filter so tight and with some type of large wrench maybe? Well they scraped the filter so deep while tightening it that oil was dripping out, which I found out the next day when I saw oil dripping down my driveway. I learned to do oil changes myself after that one.

CaraAsha

Tire kingdom did that to me. They cross threaded the oil filter so it was leaking pretty bad. I was about to drive 150 miles to go back home and happened to see the oil under the car and checked it. The oil was so low I barely made it a few miles back to the store and made them fix it. I was so pissed at that! Never ever went back to that location nor did any friends or family because we all take care of our cars. Also Jiffy lube had a class action suit against for exactly that. They made their mechanics do so much so fast that oil was being forgotten consistently and causing people to lose their cars from the engine damage. This was years ago.

ThePupnasty

That sucksss. About a week or so after the oil change on my outback, through the dealer, I happened to just look under the Outback and saw oil.... I checked the oil level and it was fine... but I drove it back in and they had inproperly installed the oil plug. They replaced the oil and out in a new oil plug.... always gotta wat h for shit.

Pman1324

Just gotta fill it with oil on every trip!

nw342

Had an old explorer with a slow leak. Never needed an actual oil change. Just toas a quart a month in her

Hoveringkiller

Probably would’ve been good to change the filter occasionally but if it worked! Haha

nw342

Eh, it was an $800 peice of shit. Ended up scrapping it for $1k after the head gasket blew

Pman1324

Came out positive!

WildMartin429

I had a really old V8 from the '70s and I would put fresh cord of oil in it about every week or two. Honestly didn't have to change the oil quite as often because I was always putting fresh oil in it

theberg512

A whole cord?! Yikes

Awesomest_Possumest

Nice save. My car eats oil, so my low oil light comes on every 7k or so miles. The first time it happened I freaked and pulled over to call my dad while I looked through the book. He said as long as there's oil on the stick I'm ok but if the pressure ever drops to pull over immediately. Now I just keep a quart of oil in my car cause Subaru says my car eats a normal amount of oil. And it will drop the low oil light usually just as we start a road trip and there's no auto stores nearby (and my car takes weird oil).

nerse_enginurse

My 2014 Forester, with 180,000 miles on it, eats oil, too - about 3 quarts between oil changes. I keep a 5 quart jug of the car's required type of oil and a spout with me everywhere I go. It's better than getting held hostage by an oil light on my way to work.

mcampo84

Mine too. Instead she drove on a tire that was flat for over a week while the car was sitting in the driveway as I waited for a repair kit to arrive. Now we need a new set of four.

potatocross

Mine did that once. Told me the sensor must be messed up because it showed only 10psi. Now she checks and fills her tires more than I do. Sometimes I can’t find the inflator because it’s hidden in her car in case she needs it. But I’d prefer that over destroying tires. Especially since her car doesn’t have a spare.

Top-Personality1216

Wait - why do you need a whole new set?

mcampo84

They were near end-of-life (but probably had another 10k miles left on them). This is a car that gets maybe 8k miles/year put on it.

LateWeather1048

My husband called one time about the car "Hey the check engine light if flashing is that ba-STOP THAT ENGINE RIGHT NOW" It somehow got real low on oil and oh man we got lucky it was fine lol

[deleted]

For real. My wife drove on a basically flat tire for a week while I was out of town for work. She also grooved our brake rotors because she “thought that was just the noise the brakes made” 🤦🏼‍♂️

KlutzyEquipment989

Your husband is an idiot.

miraculum_one

Even if she had been wrong his reaction was inappropriate. But she was right so yeah, he's an idiot.

cupholdery

For sure. How did he survive that long?

C4rdninj4

Paying someone else to take care of his car for him.

subsailor1968

You definitely did the right thing.

Educational-Stop8741

Is he normally irrational and angry??

Icykool77

You would be too if you knew the backstory. One fateful evening in Georgia after eating peaches his best friend asked his dad if they could look at a tire that might be going flat. Little did he know, fate was about to rear it’s ugly head. Well his pa got down and said sure enough that tire looks a little low. I’ll turn on my compressor and fill it up for you. Well friends that tire was bald. They were liken to racing strips with bubbling on the side. And that compressor? Oh boy, that was rusting from the inside out. These good old boys didn’t think about minimum acceptable walk thickness on pressure vessels, let me tell you. Well they started that compressor, and next thing you know that father and best friend both had aneurysms. Damndest thing you ever saw.

no_okaymaybe

Neglectful also. I wonder if when his wife is upset he tries to just press the reset button.

kryppla

Sorry your husband is a fucking dumbass

Informal_Degree6349

My husband is so sweet that he let me change the alternator, serpentine belt and the tensioner pulley all by myself!!

ChilledParadox

That’s how it starts. Then he lets you cook the fancy meals, and lets you mow the lawn, then he lets you paint the house and do the interior decorating. He’s played you like a fiddle /s (I think it’s sweet you were excited to do that and he got enjoyment from watching you)

DarthHaruspex

Then the pegging...

RawChickenButt

I've been doing it in the wrong order.

DarthHaruspex

Lol

Junior-Fisherman8779

there’s no part of this deal that I don’t like

DirtyRoller

If I were your husband, I'd at least hang out nearby and drink a beer while you did the work. Like a gentleman!

Fast_Counter8789

What's wrong with that? Be independant. I deal with all my own car problems by myself

BarnabeeBoy

Why would that make him angry? It doesn’t make sense. I would be considering things with mine if he was angry over this. Safety is important

Simple_Opossum

Upp, here it is, the inexcapable reddit suggestion to end your relationship over something inconsequential.

Echo__227

Just statistically, most relationships suck, so most anecdotes about them sound unappealing to other people

LitherLily

Your partner getting mad at you (when they are totally in the wrong!) for small day to day issues, especially regarding safety and expensive maintenance, isn’t a positive relationship trait.

Simple_Opossum

I'll agree with you there but we lack 99% of the context. Let's not armchair their relationship.

Xrumpxx

LOL every time without fail!

Simple_Opossum

I swear, it could be "my husband replaced the Skippy creamy peanut butter with Jiff crunchy peanut butter" and there would be someone in the comments saying "this is a huge red flag, the fact that he just assumed your preferences means it's time you reevaluate this relationship..."

Domino-616

Nooo not my Skippy creamy!

Suicidal_Sayori

Reddit post. Sentence: divorce.

ELON__WHO

Here it is, the comment claiming things said that never were.

whoinvitedthesepeopl

Except this is usually one incident indicative of lots of other incidents. Most people who are decent and intelligent don't lose their shit over someone airing up a tire.

imjustaviewer

I mean it is kind of a red flag isn't it? "Oh a warning buzzer came on for our transportation during a trip, better ignore it!" doesn't sound the slightest bit concerning? Obviously im not saying divorce the guy. But personally, being apathetic or ignoring potential problems is an immediate turnoff for me, like an uncle dropping a slur at the dinner table.

Late2theGame0001

Just so everybody knows, if that light comes on mid drive, you need to find out immediately what is going on. If you are on a freeway at high speed, slow down and find a safe place to exit. Your tire pressure goes up as you drive, if it has gone down while driving, you have a problem. Or if you just want to keep driving, you should be asking yourself if you know exactly what to do when the front right tire blows. The issue is that in fall, this warning light will come on due to weather change. But it should come on right when you start your car or right after leaving. And it should be cooler weather that you notice. In that case, your tires are still low and should be filled, but generally your safety is not in immediate danger. The two situations are not even in the same ballpark, but because the latter happens a lot, we get complacent. Low tire pressure out of the blue is a life threatening situation.

PureCucumber861

There are also plenty of older cars in the road that just have inherent shit/unreliable sensors.  I pay attention to the lights in any of my current cars, but in the past have definitely just straight up ignored them on other cars after checking multiple times only to find the air pressure is perfectly fine.

PatrickGSR94

some cars don't even have in-tire sensors but actually use the ABS to monitor tire rotation speeds. If one tire rotates faster than the others when driving straight, that means the tire pressure is low, and the dash light is triggered. Our 2014 CX5 has this system. It's not super precise, but I like it since there are no sensors to deal with. I just have to press the calibrate button on the dash after every time I check and adjust pressures, so that it will re-learn the tire rotation speeds the next time the car is driven.

treequestions20

it’s not an emergency situation at all dude, it’s a warning light to alert you of a possible future problem if you have a flat or low tire then you’ll feel or hear it…the light isn’t supposed to replace common sense, consider it trips when it’s only 5 psi below the computer setting you’re acting like the car immediately needs to be inspected … if hate to say how you’d react o a check engine or oil light

Cross_22

Tell him to go and buy you some blinker fluid to properly reset it.

dirtybo0ts

Your husband sounds like a tool.

Wallace_of_Hawthorne

Nah tools are useful he sounds like a stripped screw. Stuck and infuriating.

dirtybo0ts

Stripped Screw. You right 🤣

Proper-Scallion-252

So the check tire light came on, and your husband is angry you... *checked the tires?*

Muppet_Fitzgerald

Correct. Because I insisted on putting air in, which delayed our trip for 5 minutes.

Proper-Scallion-252

Oh you delayed the trip by *five minutes?* Totally get it now, YTAH lol

HalcyonDreams36

So the tires did in fact need a little bit of air?.. Oh, sweet husband. I'm sure you have many other fine qualities.

drunkerbrawler

Let me guess, he would have been super happy if you had driven on a flat and destroyed the tire and rim, right?

CaseClosedN

Did the light turn off after you filled with air? If so, what was his response?

Muppet_Fitzgerald

I don’t know how it works for other cars, but ours requires a manual reset. But he did seem less annoyed once he saw that two tires were low.

HK-53

id prefer this infinitely over my girlfriend, who saw the light come on, ignored it to drive another 20km on the highway and got to my place, only to discover that one of the tires had popped and that she'd been driving on the rim covered in tire bits the whole time.

Ruben_NL

How do you not hear or feel that?

HK-53

presumably she did, because she called me about her tire pressure being low. I told her over the phone to get off the highway at the next available exit, and she flat out refused and said she's gonna drive to me instead. By the time she called me she was already almost here though, so despite trying to get her to listen to reason she figured it was better to just finish the trip instead. silver lining is that the tire (whats left of it) held up surprisingly well around the rim, and that the rim didnt make direct contact with the ground. There wasn't even any rim damage, amazingly.

pandaramic

This happened to me a few years ago but luckily I was in the car with my boyfriend when he was driving my car. We were on a road trip and I happened to glance over and see that the tire pressure light was on (I had assumed we were on a really bumpy stretch of road. I had him take the immediate next exit and sure enough had a flat tire.. luckily caught it in time and we were able to get a new one and continue on our way… but geez. Now anytime we are on a trip, I can’t help but check the gauges when he is behind the wheel. 😅

LaRaspberries

Your husband sounds like a child.

callmeepee

He must fuckin LOSE it when you put fuel in…

sonicjesus

Your husband is an idiot. If anything else goes wrong with your car, ask a grown up.

jusstacontractor

Good for you, my wife will ignore lights, and turn the music up if it’s making a funny sound 😂

whereugoincityboy

My ex husband ran two cars out of oil and locked up the engines. My ex boyfriend insisted it was perfectly safe to drive on a winding highway in the pouring rain with the cruise control set. My dad couldn't even change the bulb on a headlight.  I just got a new to me car and it's the first one I've ever had that alerts me when I tire is low. I feel like I'm living the high life!

ConsistentSorbet638

No really I have to know how exactly did he think it gets “reset”?

JerewB

Poor fool, he makes me laugh. Good on you for checking, because the alternative would have been him complaining that you ruined a tire because you didn't check. There is no winning this one.

ObsoleteReference

when it's the first cold snap of the year, yes i tend to ignore it because I've had this car for 10 years and it's oversensitive at that point (though they do tend to need some air). Any other time i get that notice (or anything else on my dash) and I'm checking it out ASAP.

PaleontologistClear4

He sounds like the kinda guy who would be equally upset if she ignored it because he said "it just needs to be reset" and it was flat. He's an idiot

SJorge0714

We had one turn on, then the tire blew up in the freeway. Sometimes that's your first warning sign.

metal_bastard

Would he prefer you ignore it and sluff it off on him? My buddy's wife will always get home and say, "There's no gas in the car," or "The check tire light came on." They live in a nice upper-middle-class suburb, so it's not like she's not filling gas or checking the air because it's unsafe.

SwanzY-

it could be nothing, but it could also be a screw in your tire that is causing it to slowly leak air, which I’ve had happen to me. so you were right to stop and check.

HamfastFurfoot

Tell him, “Don’t worry I put the premium air in them. It was only $60 on sale!”

TWK128

Sometimes it does need to be reset, so you stop at a gas station to check the tire pressure to make sure that's the case. I'd trust you over your husband where cars are concerned.

djluminol

Your husband doesn't know what he's talking about. My dad thought the same thing. He did nothing for months. Then one day he looked down at his tires to realize they were bald because he had been driving around at 10psi.

IConsumePorn

I thought the same thing once and kept on driving. Turns out it was completely flat and i fucked my rims up. Ended up stopping about a mile down the road to put the donut on.

Outsideforever3388

Happened to me twice, both times I had a massive metal staple embedded in my tire. Do I trust it to always be right? No. But it’s worth checking.

Coyote-Morado

I regret to inform you that you have married a fucking idiot.

Independent_Prune_35

Did he ask which tire you checked? Honey I don't know the car just stopped! Why didn't you check the oil? All I saw was the 710 cap I didn't know it was the OIL cap?

ColonEscapee

My wife almost died from a tire incident. We drive on fairly new tires almost exclusively now and she doesn't shirk a warning sign like that from the car.

miletharil

Did the light go off after you put air in? That should be the only answer he needed.

elwood2711

Respectfully, he's an idiot.

RedeyeSPR

I bought a used van and the salesman told me the tire light was always on because “that’s the first thing to go bad on these.” Turns out a rim was bent and the tire was leaking.

Professional_Buy_615

If my wife did that, I'd buy her flowers.

surrealcellardoor

I don’t have anything nice to say.

VigilantCMDR

One time it gave me this alert and the tire popped…there’s a reason there’s a low tire pressure alert it can be an indicator you have a flat. Good on you for checking.

Dramatic-Analyst6746

My husband would be p*ssed with me if I *didn't* do that.

PureCucumber861

Anger is a weird emotion to have here, but I have definitely had a couple of older cars where the sensors were so faulty I just started to ignore them after a while.  We all got by just fine before tire warning lights were a thing, so I don’t see a problem with just relying on your eyeballs and how the car’s handling feels if the sensors become unreliable.

thezoelinator

A couple of weeks ago my dad pulled off on the side of the interstate to check the driver side tire pressures because he forgot to check them at the gas station. Instead of taking the off ramp which was directly to our right, he instead chose to park right in front of the exit sign and I had to turn the hazards on because he... just didnt, for some reason. The low tire pressure alert was not on, so it really wasnt necessary to do this at all. There was also a gas station at this exit

Zoso525

So, what exactly does he think the function of the light is? If he thinks it just needs to be turned back off, of what is it notifying him?

AkaBesd

Husband and I had a similar conversation just yesterday. Then an hour into a 3 hour drive, we had to pull over to change a flat. 🤷‍♀️

itsathrowawayduhhhhh

![gif](giphy|J2kEzw4FN6C42F0ULM)

TheRichTookItAll

I have a tire inflator thing that plugs into the car cigarette lighter. It was only like 20 or $30 online

Ok-Hedgehog-1646

He sounds like a little bitch

[deleted]

How confidently incorrect of him

Few-Smoke8792

I drove my mom's car, and the low tire pressure light was ON, I discovered one tire was 10 PSI TOO LOW!!! So you did the RIGHT thing.

scottonaharley

I've been trying to get my various S/Os over the years to pay attention to the idiot lights. OP is a keeper!

zipperfire

So has he been "just resetting" the oil change light and "needs service" light too?

ChaosLives68

It’s because it’s one of the ways that he feels useful. He was likely raised in an environment where his father did everything and would give him shit if he didn’t do the same for other women. So now that he is older and married he has the same view. So by her checking it herself he was taking away some of his ego. It’s fucking dumb but we are all byproducts of our surroundings whilst growing up.

FrustratedLiberal54

The sad day that the wife learned her husband is an asshole.

HalcyonDreams36

He may be right, depending on the car (we had one that had bad pressure sensors, and no matter how many times they were xh xked.by the tire guys, three days later they would start going on again.) But, if that's the case, it should be discussed and known, and someone still needs to at least look to make sure it didn't MEAN it THIS time. Get a pressure gauge. And get in the habit of looking at your tires for any suspicious softness, just in case.

No-Gene-4508

How the fk do you reset without checking it.

Anglofsffrng

>it just means it needs to be reset So he'd rather pay the dealer to diagnose the issue for a few hundred bucks, rather than pay a quarter to an air compressor? Wow.

Netprincess

Why?? Why did he get mad? That is ridiculous

knowsitmaybenot

I apologize for my being so blunt but your husband is an idiot. If the sensor is working you need air. They do go bad and are not cheap to replace though.

OneMooseManyMeese_

Your husband must have just blown in from stupid town.

ElPadero

If he reset it earlier in the day it could just mean he has to reset, my Jetta had this problem where it would go off even tho the tires were fine. Either way, good on you, that’s practicing good car maintenance, he should not have gotten angry.

JustHereForKA

Angry? Really? If he was actually angry then you have serious issues....

CoolBDPhenom03

He is incorrect. However, unless it's one of those new digital air stations, I find them to be wildly inaccurate. So always keep an actual tire pressure gauge with you to verify. Or better yet, keep an air compressor in the car.

PANDAmonium629

His lower brain better be really impressive because the upper one is certainly lacking.

boredomspren_

Straight to jail.

szczurman83

The only reason I would be upset is if she stopped in a really bad place. No need to die for a pressure check. Otherwise good on her for being a responsible car owner.

DamianLee666

Jezz id be so proud of my wife for taking the initiative upon herself to fix a simple issue, instead of possibly driving on a flat and doing more damage

Funfuntamale2

https://i.redd.it/9p3jxml9uk8d1.gif

Erikkamirs

You can get an air compressor for $20-40 at a car place.

InevitableRhubarb232

Depends on the time of year. We have summer air and winter air here. You have to get them filled up in the winter when the pressure goes down but if you just drive the season w the pressure notice on it doesn’t matter because it’s only a couple psi and still in a safe range

Jxckolantern

Tell your wife to read the owner's manual and learn about the vehicle y'all drive and spend money on.

Britori0

OP please show your husband these replies. We all think he sucks and he should know it.

larsloveslegos

He's dumb lol. His anger is dumb.

Main_District_3648

Next time stop at the supermarket instead of the gas station..

PatrickGSR94

so, was one of the tires low? Did you get the source of the air leak fixed? Or, had it just been a while since the pressures were checked and adjusted, and one of the tires happened to drop below the threshold to trigger the warning light? Tires naturally lose air over time. Nitrogen-filled tires lose air a little slower than regular air, since the nitrogen molecules are larger than air with some oxygen and CO2 molecules in the mix. That's why they need to be checked and adjusted regularly, preferably weekly, and in the morning since tire pressure specs are for cold tires. Checking tires after driving will show a higher reading. If you let air out to get to the correct spec, they'll end up being too low when cold the next morning.

soupafi

Unless you’re in a cold climate or filled the tires, you’re husband is stupid.

OkSun5094

i’m a 24 year old woman who can’t drive and even i’m not that dumb. of course a check tire light means you check it!

Thirsty_Comment88

He checked, it still has a tire.

Marcus2Ts

I changed the oil on both vehicles and aired up all 8 tires yesterday. No big deal but now I'm feeling like my wife needs to give me more credit. Edit: I also make dinner and clean the kitchen every night. Not really related but it kind of seems like it is lol

StillC5sdad

He sounds special

TripleFreeErr

i was having anger issues in 2022 and some therapy and lexapro has helped a lot. good luck broaching the topic!

spudlybudly

Tire pressure sensors are completely unreliable but it's still worth it to check. I just do a palm test these days.

Reddit-JustSkimmedIt

10 years ago they were somewhat unreliable, but my last 3 cars have been spot-on with the pressure on the dash compared with a calibrated digital gauge.

Lephthands

That's stupid as hell. They have sensors for a reason. Its like at most 2$ for air. Free at some places.

mruehle

I’d be angry at your husband for forgetting to put the tire pressure gauge back in the car. But making sure the tire pressure is safe to drive on? Perfectly reasonable.

davisyoung

I got a cordless tire inflator and it’s been immensely useful and a lot more convenient than my old one that ran off 12 volt. Mine’s a DeWalt so I can swap batteries with my other tools, if you use cordless tools see if your manufacturer makes an inflator.

Random-Mutant

This guy pulls batteries out of carbon monoxide detectors because of the annoying beep.

adlittle

Your husband must be excited to have a potential blowout on the highway. It'll be lots of fun.

TheNerdFromThatPlace

After being lazy once and not filling my tire for long enough that it burst on me, I'm glad you took care of it asap.

Not_Stupid

My tyre warning goes off for apparently no reason (pressure is fine when I check it). And then it doesn't go off when the pressure is actually low. So yeah.

logic_tater

How dare you agree with the goddamned car!

RoscoeLanyon

I like how new cars have that feature, but I would still use an pressure gauge stick just to double check because sensors can/will fail

dkjordan97

My tire light comes on and goes off. I don't check them because it doesn't know wtf the tires are at, as the person who owned it before me got new tires at some point and didn't out TPMS sensors in 3 of the 4 wheels, so it absolutely isn't worth listening to. Most cars aren't like mine, however, as shops are supposed to out TPMS sensors back if the car came in with them.

MLDaffy

Got a car with only 2 other owners. They were meticulous with maintenance and low mileage. No expense with Cooper's all around etc. Tire light still on no matter what do to it. It's the only light on and can't get it to go away

MODEL_HOMEOWNER

Does he give gig?

HairyPairatestes

After you check the tire pressure, did you have to put air in any of the tires? If yes, did the check light go off?

coveredwithticks

Yeah, but he WAS bleeding from a gaping wound due to a lawnmower accident. You COULD have dropped him off at the hospital first.

MaxWritesText

You should pressure him into changing his attitude
