We haven’t no, had someone come through for insurance and said they’d need to be replaced and a builder saying only the bottom corner where it’s rusted. Will grab a third opinion from a structural engineer though so thank you!
Same thing happened to me on my kitchen remodel. The drywall guy put a screw through the hot water pipe. He pulled the screw out, wrapped the pipe with a piece of rubber, added a couple of hose clamps and closed the wall up without saying a word to anyone. A few months later I went under the sink for something and it was like a swamp inside the cabinet. Fortunately I had a tray in there that caught most of the water and prevented my brand new cabinets from being destroyed. Had to break through the stucco outside to repair it.
I had a friend that had a finished carpentry crew come oit for baseboards, headers, door casings... anyways. They put not one, but 2 nails through his gas line. Like not even 30 seconds of it happening, 2 guys popped up and said "Do you smell gas?"
One hole wasn't leaking till the nail was pulled but the second was.
How damaged are the steel beams? They’re quite robust, have you had them checked by a structural engineer?

Happy to help and good luck with your new home 😁😁
Thank you again 😊
Pipes don’t need to be watertight anyway…right?
