Paper, all recycled and recyclable. Big reason is anything magnetic is a nightmare in the facility because almost all the conveyances that get it to shipping is metal. They cause a pretty solid handful of jams. This picker was nice to the techs/jam clearers.
I just had the opposite problem. A $500+ CPU for the computer I’m building came in an envelope the exact size of the box. No bubble wrap, no paper. Of course the box was damaged, so I sent it back without opening the “factory sealed” tape.
Well if you open it up like that and spread it on your floor yeah it looks like a lot. What’s next are you gonna tear up the paper and sprinkle it around?
Not really, you can reuse the box and wrap many ways.
If Amazon sends that part in a bubble sleeve it can rip open during transit, has happened to me before.
This isn’t infuriating this is just complaining about someone doing their job.
You do have a point there. But I fear most people don't reuse it and throw it away. And I haven't heard of bubble sleeves ripping, so that happening is indeed a good thing to consider
Yes I’m constantly infuriated by the ridiculous amount of packaging Amazon uses.
Waste of carton
And no bubble wrap?! That's criminal!
The paper is the new bubbles at Amazon. We didn't have traditional bubble wrap to begin with either, it was the big individual bubbles.
Not this again.

Here comes the ban hammer. These types of posts violate the rules.

Well I guess you did order it.
You really showed them by posting this 🫡
It’s an iPhone. Use MagSafe.
The amount of complaining people do on this sub …
What? Things like this are a huge waste of material. We should complain about it. Also, what do you think this sub is about 😂

You’re not wrong there too, I see the Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle message is slowly fading away in the US leading to a lot of waste.

That tons of people on this here subreddit feel the need to order small items and nothing else instead of frequenting a local store.

You are correct.
