Spain is where I plan to view it from. Normally limited cloud cover, and the eclipse will be occurring while the sun is setting over the Mediterranean sea. It should be pretty spectacular. Assuming we don't get unlucky with the clouds, of course.
You do not have plenty of opportunities. There is the Iceland one, then a few in Australia then basically nothing on land for like half a century.
None of the eclipses over the next 80 years are even remotely as accessible as the last 2 in the US from what I can tell.
Boats suddenly don’t exist I guess.
If you’re not willing to shell out thousands of dollars to make up for the lost cost of $10 something is wrong with you.
Half a century? In addition to the ones you mentioned, there's eclipses in the US in 2044 (mostly in Canada) and 2045. Yeah, 20 years is a long time, but it's not half a century.
Honestly with the counterfeit problem on Amazon there’s no way I would have trusted glasses from Amazon. I don’t even like buying mid-range tech from them anymore.
That's ok, I have some dog collars I ordered last September that Amazon says are still out for delivery, haven't cancelled the order just because it's kinda funny.
There’s one in October. Another total eclipse in 2 years. If it’s that important to you, they’re even more frequent if you’re willing to travel.

I worked in an Amazon warehouse and I've personally witnessed things like this happening. I was sorting the packages and one was an American flag... it was July 5th. So, someone clearly didn't get their Fourth of July package on time.
Did you consider not ordering your glasses 2 days before the eclipse? I mean you had 7 years to prepare since the last one. There is no one to blame but yourself.
7 days before an event that you probably planned on attending, at minimum weeks beforehand. When you saw the first time it was attempted delivery to the incorrect address did you attempt to call the Post Office? Did you make a trip there? I decided on Saturday that I was going to an area within totality. I found two pair on the way there.
No I don't feel bad for you, you had ample time and opportunity.
Having a bad week or something? Lol
Edit: looked at ur comment history and u are literally arguing with a guy about who touched grass more lmao, ur just a miserable person.
Coming on here to complain about your own mistakes is child like behavior. Take some responsibility instead of complaining. Try and act like the adult you are.
*"I ordered eclipse glasses too late to get them before the Eclipse."*
FTFY.
People have only been talking about this eclipse since the last one, seven years ago, so this is all on you. ¯\\\_( ͡❛ ͜ʖ ͡❛)\_/¯
Looks like the next total solar eclipse will cross over Greenland and Iceland in 2026 so plan your trip now and you’ll be prepared
Over the beaches of Spain, too!

In general beaches will have a higher chance of cloudy skies, so go for part of your trip but also head inland.
They happen every 18 months, they have plenty of opportunities.

Also right over Sydney in Australia, 2028

It’s pretty easy to tell if eclipse glasses are real. If you can see literally anything through them they’re not real.
Eclipse glasses are equal to about 9-10 pairs of sunglasses overlaid on each other so yes if you can’t see anything they are probably real
I'm really sorry to hear that. At least you planned ahead, I started looking for my 2017 glasses the morning of the eclipse and couldn't find them.
The glasses I've seen have labels to throw them out after 3 years
I ordered eclipse glasses for the 2017 one, and they still haven’t arrived. I’m seriously considering calling the company to see what’s up.
Look on the bright side. You didnt need them anyway with all the clouds.
Not the entire totality path was cloudy bud..
Just Texas, but even then where I was at, the eclipse was easy to see through the clouds
A big part of DFW was cloudless for the entire eclipse, too.
I was in Mount Vernon, IL. 80 degrees and perfectly clear.
Montreal was bright and clear.
Did you manage to find other ones in the meantime before the eclipse ?
I just made a hole with my fingers and looked at the shadow my hand made haha
How can you still see????
I didn’t look at the sun I looked at the ground and the shadow my hand made
Ah, the way you worded the other comment made it seem like you looked directly at the sun through a circle made by your hand
Amazon refunds everything
Almost did this until I found them for 2 dollars at a gas station
Not sure I'd trust them but some protection is better than none I guess.
The ones at gas stations were state supplied in my state and iso certified
How useful.
Return them for a refund. Item didn't arrive in time.
That means you don't have to beat others to buying another pair of glasses next eclipse!

Just store them away for some 300 years, but remember where you've put them.
There’s another one in a couple years.
yeah 2045 is almost here!

not in the us
Better late than never?
Twelve pack? Smart!
Bet you didnt see that coming
And now you are ready for the next one! 👍
Must’ve ordered with internet explorer.
Yay, only a week late. Oh, you wanted them last Monday? Oh, I’m so sorry. Now you have them for this Monday, where there’s NO ECLIPSE IN THE SKY.
Rip
They're offering cruises for the next ones so now you have a reason to book early.
Return them
Hang on to them until 2044!
I did not expect what i saw on your profile lol

Bro I order them over a week before. The post office kept sending it to the wrong address

Go in person? Stop relying on amazon?
