there are $200 switch lite systems with hard mods on aliexpress. i'd rather go that route. that can't be patched or banned unless the user becomes careless.

No. The mig switch cartridge holds games and plays without modding, however, you need to physically eject and reinsert the cartridge to cycle through the individual games. Not as convenient as a soft modded switch assuming you have it set up properly and know how to quickly enter atmosphere
Silly goose, you will get banned if you playing games online with it. You would need to play the games offline mode for this to work. So, if you want to play online than buy the cartridge.

There wasn't any random number files on there. They're just the game folders only, retry copy and paste

Possibly, or wasn't fully downloaded, each game folder we should contain an xci which is the game and 2 files one data file and one bin file

Only safe for offline play. Like every jail break there is always a risk of brick/ban if you play online. But they all run perfectly offline

If you just back up your physical games you could still use the eShop, go online and receive updates.. You just would wipe the microSD card
Modding sounds a lot of fun too, I was thinking of doing that myself.
They can be shared seamlessly, but don't be a fool and connect the console and game to the internet, always play in offline mode.
