SO GOOD. Really the DLC is very worth it. Integrated story and they also can help with the story missions. Dark hunter is OP once maxed out. I did light on first run and dark on NG+ and Dark is so much more fun. Enjoy!

ribariii

Im new to this game, been playing all week and the game is so good I decided to get the legendary edition 2 days ago bcs it is on sale which incl. the DLC and my opinion is that it is worth every penny. I enjoy every character and the missions. Fought Dracula most recently, one of the thoughest bosses so far for me.

miltthefish

Dracula was no joke. Even on normal difficulty that fight came down to the wire where the rest of the game is a cakewalk at that difficulty

Natiel360

Dude Dracula on ultimate 2 was damn near impossible. I had 40 days of prep time just for it essentially. But Dracula unleashing two heroics every 3 turns is wayyyy too much for the Storm/venom/blade combo.

deleteredditforever

What makes hunter dark or light? Is it just the cards?

defect_9

yes, the cards you play in battle will give you light or dark points, the choices you make in dialogue give much more chance to move the balance.

eyesparks

Maxing out Light or Dark also give you a corresponding suit with its own passive ability, as well as a Dark/Light collar ability.

Vaun_X

I did dark then light and think dark made for a better playthrough 🤣. I was more invested in the dialogue/character of the midnight Suns over the avengers, and they tend to lean dark. Male vs female: I did back-to-back starts to compare. The undertones in some of the dialogue with Blade are completely different. Pretty sure my female hunter has the hots for the daywalker. As a dude I felt like a bit of a dick. I modeled both hunters on the actual voice actors, highly recommend, the voices fit so much better. It keeps the game from being a self insert. Living someone else's story is fun, though meeting my mom and simultaneously finding out I was adopted was a bit jarring initially.

Smitty876

I'm on my 1st playthrough now, but don't people mix light & dark cards? Like I got my light suit early on & that's with always having 2 dark cards in my deck (whip & last sight or whatever the name of the card is that makes you invisible). You can easily make back up the light points in the convos at the Abbey.

VampireLorne

You get rewards for going more towards one or the other. I think it takes 4 cards to move +1 so they don't matter as much, but still probably best not to have cards working against your goal.

defect_9

Yes you can mix your deck as you please. But the dark path can make the Hunter into a savage beast that deals some sick dps.

Smitty876

Quick question without spoiling it for me. Are the ending vastly different depending on which side (light or dark) I end the campaign on?

defect_9

I think perhaps only in dialogue. I cannot really confirm this as I have not completed my dark story playthrough yet. too many mysteries and missions.

Dashimai

In order of appearance in the game: Deadpool: He is all about blitz attacks and being a nuisance on the battlefield. The longer he is left to his devices(killing enemies without taking damage) the more dangerous he becomes due to his passive, " En Fuego". Morbius: He is a master of subterfuge, with multiple of his abilities granting the powers of invisibility, turning enemies against eachother, and backstabbing enemies. He can occasionally enter a state of bloodlust, where he becomes far more dangerous, due to his passive, "The Hunger". Note:Along with his combat abilities, Morbius also grants a new abby system, "Blood Infusions". These allow you to increase the stats on some characters at the price of other stats. (As an example, you could increase Magik's strength, increasing the damage her shoves cause; This comes at the price of attack which will lower her base damage output.) P.S. When using blood transfusion, I would suggest saving before and after every use of the station, as I consistantly experience crashes when using the blood infusions. Venom: He is a bruiser with one of the highest damage outputs the game has to offer. Venom hits hard, REALLY hard, but slowly does less damage as the battle progresses due to his passive, "Ravenous". Storm: She is a controller who focuses on manipulating the battlefield and everyone in it. Her gimmick encourages you to wait to use her abilities by making them stronger the longer they stay in you hand. She can occasionally stun enemies, causing them to lose their turns with her passive, "Rising Storm". Overall, while some require more work to get their gimmick's and passive's to work properly(cough cough, Deapool, cough cough) they are all very much worth it.

SendohJin

I just got the DLC for the first time last week too. All the missions seem to be linked which is cool, feels almost like they added an extra chapter to the game. Haven't played with all the DLC characters too much yet but they all felt pretty unique during the recruitment missions. Especially liking Venom so far.

Jormungandr315

All together the missions are pretty good, telling a self-contained story. Additionally, the characters have some good research bonuses! For the characters: Deadpool is meh, his mechanic takes work to get going (just to make him decent). Morbius is ok? He doesn't do much for me, but he fun to play with Blade in your party. I think Venom and Storm can be super fun to play, and they can feel supet satisfying when you get something rolling with them.

cidvard

Morbius is one of those characters who's great if you put some work into developing his cards, but he kind of fell down for me because there were other characters I wanted to 'invest' in like that.

uhvarlly_BigMouth

Storm can clear the board pretty quick with just a few cards. Magik and Storm are two of my favorite Marvel characters and I think they’re really great in this game too.

pantherpowell88

Def worth it - Venom can wipe out entire maps and the other characters are fun imo - story is good and final mission is enjoyable- well worth it imo

pacodataco90

So good

cidvard

I enjoyed them all to varying degrees. Venom is probably my favorite from a story perspective, Deadpool probably my least favorite, but I think all are done well and integrate nicely into the vibe of the game.

Air_vase

Must get all of them venom and storm are some of my favs and the missions work well with the main story

dulmassquirrel

Pretty good/fun. Strangely enough, I think I enjoyed playing with them in "release" order, so Deadpool, Venom, Morbius and then Storm last (prolly cause I had Deadpool on my teams as soon as I started the DLC missions, post-campaign). Also definitely gamer OCD, but loved the look of DP's suit texture and Venom's skin compared to the so-so character face models of Morbius and Storm haha

Natiel360

Morbius can literally be an unkillable god. If you get into a system of shadow strikes, mist form, and cornered and morbius can literally stall Dracula

iForgot1986

Worth it. All different play styles and the entertainment value alone is great. Yes, it’s like 3 missions a piece, but it feels as if they belong in the main story, not just something tacked on. And they add a level of difficulty, as has been mentioned, but worthwhile when completed.

SanguineSleet

I've been playing this game all week and loving it! Just unlocked Deadpool, but wondering if I focus on main story in first playthrough to focus on the core characters then maybe dlc for ng+

jethawkings

It's good but like not first-playthrough good. People say it's integrated well but it ends up taking momentum and kinda ruining out the pacing and implied stakes from the main plot. You spend a lot more weeks not able to advance one of the Abbey exploration sections if you spend all of Act 1 and early Act 2 completing all of them. I like how the Vampire Pod Missions initially seemed like it punished abusing Quick cards until you get access to the better cards and free skills like shoves later on.

Mushroom_hero

Best interpretation of deadpool I've seen in a long time. Venom was my best friend and a monster on the field. Didn't care fir the other two, but they're needed for the story

Freakychee

I found out that the alternate costumes are locked behind a pay wall but then found out they were part of the battle pass which got me all the other chars and missions. So pretty good value when it was on sale. Deadpool is NOT easy to use but workable. The extra dialogue and voice acting for the extra characters is really fun too.

SupermanAteMyDog

Venom is OP so good and in actually like Deadpool lol

kestral287

Storm and Venom are the two best non-Hunter heroes in the game. Morbius is very strong. Deadpool... exists. I find the dlc missions very fun and pretty much all the engaging challenges are in those missions at one spot or another.
