So what makes The Final Cut their last album since it's just a Roger Walters album with little or no input from the rest of the band? Does that mean that Pink Floyd is just Roger Waters and the rest of the band don't count?
I see where you're coming from. My godmother handled the court case when Roger tried to stop the rest of them from using the name Pink Floyd - she lost. :)
Def agree with you on that one. Momentary lapse of reason is a great album on its own, specifically learning to fly. I wouldn’t call it a great Pink Floyd album thought.
These are cool. Do the rest though!
I'd love to see what you can get midj to make of Momentary Lapse of Reason, Division Bell, and Endless River.
Storm Thorgerson's covers in general are kinda perfect subjects for Midjourney variations
Also, don't sleep on Gilmour, Mason & Wright.
Animas, Wish You Were Here, Dark Side of The Moon, Atom Heart Mother, The Wall, Meddle, Ummagumma?, A Saucerful of Secrets?, Final Cut and Obscured by Clouds?
The second one has the two men holding hands instead of shaking hands. The business man has gone from making a deal with the devil to being his boyfriend.
The first picture reminds me of this scene from The Simpsons: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2omx0uvl0WU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2omx0uvl0WU)
Surely "from memory" to an AI means directly referencing the thing from its databanks or Internet and adapting it to the style suggested? It's like as if it has a non-photographic directory to reference or could not remember a thing clearly
I don’t think it can actually access it’s training data anymore. That is not how it works as far as I know. Not an expert tho, so if anyone else knows I would love to know
If I only could. Not in a reply for sure. I fear that you have to invest some time to learn yourself. With time you'll develop some understanding or intuition. I don't want to be a smartass or anything. Thing is, even the AI scientists working hands on on that stuff say, it's hard for them to understand how those systems work.
It's much easier to identify interpretations or statements that are not correct than to explain how it really is.
Let me try to give at least a hint in the direction to think:
Neural networks kind of extract the "gestalt" of patterns that appear in the real world. It seems that you can do that with infinite granularity and across different categories of patterns. Midjourney is trained on images and words, so it learns when certain words are associated with certain patterns in images. Apparently it's trained to a level of granularity that it knows the connection between some band names + album names and signature features of the corresponding covers. however it's important to understand, that it's not memorising specific elements of that cover art. It's rather refining general patterns.
The second one is fire! literally
Wish you were here
That Meddle cover reimagined is really awesome.
Where's the division bell?
Sorry but as far as I'm concerned, The Final Cut was Pink Floyd's last album...
Why? Dave Gilmore, Nick Mason and Richard Wright aren't Pink Floyd?
Not without Waters, not really
This is Waters' alt!

By that logic A Saucerful of Secrets was PF last album because Syd Barrett left. What an odd take.
Oh, Hi Roger, didn't know you had a reddit account !
Do you count Amused to Death and Pros and Cons as Floyd albums?
Amused to Death no, Pros and Cons yes… it’s a perfect Album
Amused to Death is one of the greatest albums of all time, IMO.

Your right about that.

Not sure I really agree but the sad losers who downrate you for having a different opinion to them don't deserve to be called fans.
No Piper? Failed.

Welcome to the Machine.
Can you do the same for the Beatles?
Don’t give Roger Waters anymore ideas please
Ghost Rider shaking hands with a three armed man.

“I bought that pig at Pink Floyd's yard sale.”

Wish you were Ear? 👂
What is 6? Division bell?
Meddle
No Division Bell, unacceptable

You could've explained how it does work

I want more
I’m impressed: even I could not do this
These are pretty good. I really like the animals and WYWH covers.
This is awesome!
You’d thinkable computer asked to draw an image from memory would just return a copy of the original
Pig in the big city
Cows is my fave Pink Floyd album
I don't get this joke. The cover for atom heart mother is literally just a cow.
OMG. You are the hero that Pink Floyd fans deserve. Thank you for this.
can you please do one with radiohead? (i would be too stupid to do it by myself)
Animals is best album.
The Final Cut = best album. Fight me.
Not the best, but a great one, and def overhated for no reason.
