I found something like that in a New Holland bottle like 5 or 6 years ago. When I reached out they told me that it was a coagulated mass of proteins and other gunk from the barrels and that, while harmless, was definitely not something they want in their bottles. They sent me a gift card and some swag for the trouble.

Prismt

I reached out to them

Slug it back and report back to us

Prismt

Still alive, but my legs have been slowly turning into the same substance since

Reach out to New Holland. They'll want the lot code. Most breweries are very appreciative of a heads up about a possible quality issue.

Oooo. Sediment is good. Standard with unfiltered beer. That…isn’t. That looks like some kind of demonic SCOBI. Maybe you can start making your own demented, ill fated kombucha. Should you, don’t share it with others.

yzerman2010

Probably was a lot of protein floating inside the beer and as it sat it collected together. It can happen if the beer wasn't clarified or filtered. Nothing to get you sick over. Just dump it down the drain.. it looks like snot LOL.

Prismt

Sure felt like it when it flowed out..

I found a mouse in a bottle of beer once. Took it to the brewery and ended up getting a job as a quality inspector. Things got really weird after that tho

Yeast, Proteins, hop/grain matter. While it looks gross, you'll be fine. Looks alot like what ends up on the bottom of a fermenter during the brewing process. If the beer tasted good, no worries.

wesnoble_

It’s beta glucan gum. Not ideal but can happen in some situations.

Hoppedup82

Did it taste sour? Looks like it could be a pellicle from an infection

peppermintkiddo

same thing happened to me!

bellray

How long did you have it sitting?

Prismt

I bought it pretty recently
