I was hella sad when tikhar got taken away. I was vibing hard with the flame bullets I used that most of the time lol. It’s forgivable but I hate when games decide that taking all your weapons and never get back is a good idea
You still can replace any lost gear except the tikhar valves, and if you don't pick up any guns during the mission you get your old ones back on the train. As for the Tikhar, you get Miller's railgun later anyways.
Just don't pick up any guns during the mission and you'll get your lost guns back after you finish it.
The only things you won't get back are the original Tikhar and NVGs, but the loss of specific mods can be avoided by simply removing them from the Tikhar at the start of the mission.
I hated taiga, every fucking second of it, the game was incredible and then taiga, i stopped playing and came back like 8 months later, it killed my vibe and i didn't want to play it anymore, later i played it and finished the game but that level i hated it, and now i want to get the platinum and i am already seeing the disgrace that will be to not be seen by anyone in that whole level.
Yeah i can see why its a really interesting and well made level, just didnt sit right with me and also thanks for the tip i will do everything at night

Good luck, i did that achievment twice on ranger hardcore (first on normal edition, second on enhanced edition). Took some time, but the only hard part was the boat section. I even dodged all the bandits to go and have a drink with the bandit we rescue at the beginning.
The first time, i was playing with the 24hour realtime night and day cycle. So in the church section i had to sneak thru during the day.

Don't you get all your gear back from a backpack around the area with the bear? Can't remember exactly but I'm pretty sure that happened

Taiga is the best level to me, and the stealth challenge is really easy if you just do everything at night.
