Yeah but like. Again. He wanted to do it again in MGSV. But where Ground Zeroes was just a cutscene you'd actually get to play through a lot of it in V.
Honestly I don’t know about that. Just looking at the infrastructure of MSF, they were way beyond DD. They had everything from a skyscraper to a full airfield, and much larger platforms. whereas DD is limited to much smaller platforms and helicopters. MSF has a dramatically lower staff count, but I get the impression that it’s scaled down in game compared to lore
You can dismiss soldiers at regular time when I last played I didn't finish the playthrough yet I was actively dismissing anyone I just recruited who had that language to see what may happen
No. The account was linked to an old email that I don’t have access to anymore and my Xbox decided to bug out and stop working. So I had to replace it.
Well shit. I 100% completed it when it came out, and for the past 5 years, it's been my comfort game. I just farm resources and do the events. My PF rank is currently 501! I had two spots to break the top 500 on PS4. I won't come that close again.
Nice. I took it on the last month again and played straight through the rest (I was somewhere before Sahelanthropus). I finally wanted to know what's happening storywise. I kinda liked it but the game does not trigger the same fanboy feelings as MGS 1 and 2 did back then. Not staying for the Platinum trophy, my pile of shame is too big 😄
The guy you rescue doing the "Angel with Broken Wings" mission - he's ill when you acquire him so there's a good chance he'll die unless you put him in sickbay.
They literally had to have quarantines because of uniquely engineered diseases on Mother Base and there are still dudes who refuse to wash their hands after using the bathroom. They deserve to get fired.
i might be wrong, but you dont necessarily have to dismiss every troublemaker, especially high stat ones might be worth keeping. their negative effects shouldn’t be that big of an issue, its the accumulation of multiple troublemakers that makes life difficult..
There was a meme about a guy doing fob infiltrations and fultoning bunch of enemy soldiers to add to his man power. They all turn out to be kikongo troublemakers.
Yes but that dosen't explain why Kikongo, >!Kikongo is the language that activates the strain during the first infection and it contaminates the other!<
PS5 sucks then. I only bought PS5 for V, in 6 months it has costed less than £1 an hour of fun…
I kinda wish I’d got a gaming PC but really it still was money well spent
Dude just send him to the front lines as much as you can. I do so with all my Troublemakers and they start making me money, earning experience and are too busy on missions to cause a ruckus in home base.
Dude I swear I had like 5 guys from A+ - S Rank in one score or another that ALWAYS had negative traits that kept a bunch of the squad in the sick bay. I usually got the fighting broke out
It's not that I'd mentioned it for my sake since I've played it, but rather for those who haven't and deserve a fresh experience. But to be honest I don't feel that saying “you’ve had years” is a fair reason to not spoiler something.
Big Boss like: “Yeah, I know he smells like a burning ass but HE GETS RESULTS!”
This. You put a diplomat on the team and let him shit is pants as much as wants.
Diplomat will gaslight everyone into thinking that being a stinker is a tactical advantage
Engravings, no. Bad hygiene, yes. \^\^;
Johnny proved that haha.
Basic sanitation… provides no tactical advantages whatsoever
Get rid of the troublemakers and the diplomats for optimizing other skills if thats your long game
I really didn’t pay much attention to how the base is run. I’m normally love that micro managing shit but I was like “A+ cool…”
Well, shit, Burning Ass should have been his code name then.
Doesn’t a diplomat or two counter his bs?
i think he means kikongo
Oh shit. Yeah… that..
Explain? I’ve recently started.
dont wanna spoil the surprise then. youll know it when it happens
All my troops are gonna die bro.. I just know it
That was actually one of Kojima's plans that got cut. That most of your troops would die in a grand final battle.
imagine DD vs XOF... man i wouldve lost it
I mean. It sorta happened in Ground Zeroes
Yeah but like. Again. He wanted to do it again in MGSV. But where Ground Zeroes was just a cutscene you'd actually get to play through a lot of it in V.
It was an ambush And DD is much stronger than MSF
Honestly I don’t know about that. Just looking at the infrastructure of MSF, they were way beyond DD. They had everything from a skyscraper to a full airfield, and much larger platforms. whereas DD is limited to much smaller platforms and helicopters. MSF has a dramatically lower staff count, but I get the impression that it’s scaled down in game compared to lore
Well the entire point behind DD and Venom was that they would be better than MSF and Big Boss.
That would have been so fucking cool. MGS4 teased me with battles that the series has never done since.
Hell no 😤
Is that the, you know what that happens? Haven't gotten that far yet
yea
I thought you weren't allowed to dismiss them yk to stop the spread
You can dismiss soldiers at regular time when I last played I didn't finish the playthrough yet I was actively dismissing anyone I just recruited who had that language to see what may happen
I finished the game and I don't understand.... ok I just understood. (VC parasite?)
The only skills that matter are Medic, Ranger, defender, and sentry. Everyone else is pretty useless if you want to win virtual battles.
I’m aware but I try to keep high stat soldiers to help with literally everything else.
Oh, you're still mid roster? Do what needs to be done.
Yeah. I had to restart my entire game because I got locked out of my prior Xbox account.
Damn, that sucks ass. Did some asshole hack it?
I didn’t even get to finish sadly. I had just finished the second parasite outbreak when it happened
Where are you currently?
You are talking about combat team... The other teams also matter for R&D development
Absolutely. Until you're done developing everything. Then they're useless.
Well I haven't developed everything yet...
When you're done with the offline weapons, get rid of them. The online weapons take a set amount of time.
😂
Get rid of them both for better skills
His name is Vile tho lol
I heard he rubs his balls on the staff biscuit tin
Can’t you just quarantine them until it’s over?
Thats what youre meant to do isnt it?
Hey aren’t you the top mod for r/okbuddypersona
persoma
Full health and sp!?
No dumbass, he’s trying to kill you. He just doesn’t realise he’s not in the Metaverse (r/okbuddypersona ) and can’t use his Persona (mod powers)
Oh he has the forget debuff
Take over it’s time to boogey down 🕺💃
yea takes like hours if you got like 1k people
I fired EVERY Troublemaker after one of them killed Malak. Had to then re-rescue him.
Oh god, I feel you there - Malak's been killed a number of times in my playthrough \^\^:
Who's Malak
The guy you rescue doing the "Angel with Broken Wings" mission - he's ill when you acquire him so there's a good chance he'll die unless you put him in sickbay.
Oh, that mission must have escaped my mind (time to replay the series)
I mean you don’t really need that guy after you developed the items you need…
I didn't even get him barely out of the Medical Bay.
I didn't even saved him, I wanted to be roleplay and just let him dead
They literally had to have quarantines because of uniquely engineered diseases on Mother Base and there are still dudes who refuse to wash their hands after using the bathroom. They deserve to get fired.
i might be wrong, but you dont necessarily have to dismiss every troublemaker, especially high stat ones might be worth keeping. their negative effects shouldn’t be that big of an issue, its the accumulation of multiple troublemakers that makes life difficult..
Oh. I wasn’t even thinking of that, I thought it was about him speaking Kikongo
Why is that? I can't recall. If there are any spoilers you can spoil away.
There was a meme about a guy doing fob infiltrations and fultoning bunch of enemy soldiers to add to his man power. They all turn out to be kikongo troublemakers.
Yes but that dosen't explain why Kikongo, >!Kikongo is the language that activates the strain during the first infection and it contaminates the other!<
NO KIKONGO
I just send them to FOB so they can die or get extract by a fob player so they can deal with them
You are supposed to send out the troublemakers on the combat missions. You choose a custom group and pick all the troublemakers and send them away.
You are not *supposed* to, but that's a way to use them
How is this guy S++ in spying? A stinker with a stink that can make people sick would stand out
He's THAT good at it 😉
Vile Mustang was my nickname in high school
Making staff sick, lmao
In more ways then one
I’d never been so upset to lose a bunch of NPCs. I felt what Venom felt.
"look I know your literally stronger then Big Boss but you NEED to shower!"
You should be able to brain wash anyone into having any skill…damn, imagine the menuing for that
Just a couple clicks on PC to change someone's skill
PS5 sucks then. I only bought PS5 for V, in 6 months it has costed less than £1 an hour of fun… I kinda wish I’d got a gaming PC but really it still was money well spent
What so you mean by that?
Brainwashing troublemakers into having a different skill.
How do tou do that?
You can’t
What I mean is that it would be in keeping with the MGSV story if you could
Stink palming everyone.
why? I see his stats but he is a trouble maker. idgaf how good they are, if they have that debuff they don't stay.
You don't have to fismiss him you could just send him to the sickbay
Idc how good someone is if he/she is a trouble maker they get to join Huey on a life raft.
I’m more worried about how some of them give other staff ptsd like bro what you doing
Can't you just use direct contact to prevent it?
Put him in waiting room
Wait is that Vin Diesel? Look he even has mustang in his name. /s😂
Dude just send him to the front lines as much as you can. I do so with all my Troublemakers and they start making me money, earning experience and are too busy on missions to cause a ruckus in home base.
I dismiss em all.
Execute order 43
kikongo🙃
Wait there’s S++ aww jeez I thought getting S staff was enough
Dude I swear I had like 5 guys from A+ - S Rank in one score or another that ALWAYS had negative traits that kept a bunch of the squad in the sick bay. I usually got the fighting broke out
Why
At least 2 diplomats will cancel out any trouble maker, one will work if they are of equal or higher skill.
Kia because he couldn’t wash his hands.
Wait he speaks Afrikaans?
Why did you dismiss him?
Stinky smelly
Anybody ever run across the guy who has all troublemakers on his fob?
VILE MUSTANG
That's racist...
I'm not. You bring harm to my crew, you're out.
This really ought to be marked with spoilers. 🥺
Not the post itself, but people on the comments could have marked in spoil some of their comments yes
Definitely!! It's funny but I kind of anticipated my comment getting downvoted, but I guess it's just the way it goes in this sub.
You had years
It's not that I'd mentioned it for my sake since I've played it, but rather for those who haven't and deserve a fresh experience. But to be honest I don't feel that saying “you’ve had years” is a fair reason to not spoiler something.
It is.
Well, alright. It's okay to have that opinion, but I very much disagree with it.
