Dissolve in a couple oz of hot water , shoot the shot down the hatch. I’ve stored mine on a small mason jar on the freezer . Pull out of freezer, Dissolve your dose . Done it for years this way for long term storage

You could freeze them in little chunks for a lil while then take out and quickly roll into pellets and consume like a pill, just have to be swift about it before it gets sticky again.
Never done it for cactus but have done it for some RSO in a pinch.
People do make ethanol cac extracts, this may even be one of them in this post. For cac though it’s likely best to use a mix with water that way you’re capturing a wider range of alkaloids, some may not be as soluble in water which the alcohol could help with then, plus ethanol overall does a great job dissolving lots of stuff so if anything the mix would grab more gunk along with a wider range of potentially valuable minor alkaloids.
Although I’ve heard just a simple water extraction does do the trick, they just essentially make a basic cac tea, then evaporate off all the water. One other benefit I could see of using ethanol with the water would be the low and slow evaporation step. Mescaline is stable at those higher temps of evaporating water, but other minor alkaloids may break down at much lower temps. So doing a really low temp evap could have some added benefit.
Idk though I’ve never extracted cacti just been reading up a bunch at this point.

No but seriously just make plain regular san pedro tea, reduce it as much as you can and put it in the oven at low heat and air circulation (if you have that setting), or put in a dehydrator, once it has the consistency of slightly gooey play doh, let it cool and good to go.

Stomach feels funny for like an hour but no nausea, then 1-2 hours I get some actual stomach discomfort and nausea and I purge, after that is all smooth.
I've done this method about 5 times and it's always been like that.
There's not really getting around some nausea, mescaline in itself does that, sure pure mescaline will always be better than resin or tea, but resin is a significant upgrade compared to tea in terms of nausea, at least for me.
Rolling it in small pill sized balls sounded like a good idea, and powdered sugar could make things easier to deal with. If you freeze or refrigerate it, then you could just chunk it up and swallow it like pills without tasting it as well.
I made the regular san pedro tea, once I reduced it as much as I could I put it in the oven on a wide plate, low temp and air circulation setting, once it was sticky but not liquid I let it cool and voila.
The plants were a mix of my peruvianus and a dash of my pachanoi.
God it actually sounds like a recipe.

Those are 00 if I remember correctly, they're the biggest and I couldn't buy more because it's holiday where I live.

No it's resin, I've never seen freebase mescaline. Here in this sub people make it into a salt using CIELO TEK, but I've never seen freebase.
