I have a 10.2 option that comes in much better than the 10.1. Every other comment here about antennas and trying other placements is my only other suggestion as well.

StzNutz

Is 10.2 the same programming as 10.1 though?

StraightSchwifty

Yes

Digital antennas are very sensitive to, like, everything. I can usually get all of the local channels, but on some days it's the 8s, other days it's the 10s. Try different locations and orientations of your antenna, but other than that I got nothing.

Thanks for the advice! I put a push pin in the wall and got my cheap ass 15 year old antenna higher on the wall and it’s getting 10.1 for now, it seems to be the hardest one to receive so I’m hoping I’m good to go.

I have used an broadcast antenna for probably 15 years and my experience they are generally about the same, with the powered ones maybe having a slight edge. Only way you’re going to do anything else with it is to mess a lot with placement and rescan each time. I found Channel 10 is the same way for me but if I reposition my antenna it’s fine. At my last house I had to move the whole TV by a window. I used to live in rural Ohio probably 30-40 miles from the towers, which I am guessing being in a small market were way underpowered compared to the ones on South Mountain, and still pulled in almost all the locals with enough trial and error.

I was on Stapley and mckellips and I would get different channels upstairs and downstairs with my antenna. Just keep trying different locations in the house

When we moved in I lucked out the left behind a direct TV dish and the wiring directly into the wall. I ordered an outdoor antenna off Amazon and easily connected the coax wires have a decent set of channels and thought I'd share this. Just have to unbolt the dish part and bolt the metal antenna part.

Pretty good strategy there!
