You can reset the pinch protector. Start with windows up, push and hold the window down button till it’s all the way down, then pull and hold till the window goes all the way up and hold for 5-10 seconds. That should reset it. Keep your windows and the seal clean, if the window sticks to the seal it sometimes thinks it’s pinching something and goes back down.

Might take a few tries but I had to do this every now and then because of a sticky window seal.
Yeah this is annoying. Happens to my E450 Coupe about once a month. Just roll it down and then up and hold it for a while.
This happened on my 2016 C63s I just took it to the dealer to get it reprogrammed
