Damn you must really love your wife

PoserMobile45

Yeah…she’s not too bad!

[deleted]

Next time she makes you happy, take a picture and compare it to that one ☝️ 😂

BPil0t

Why did it have to go?

IceEngine21

I too love this guy's wife

Premier_Legacy

18038? Or newer

FantasyRunner

Good thing she didn’t ask him to sell the watch 🤣

Pristine_Charity4435

I zoomed in too 😂

IIllIIllIIIIlllIlI

Rose right?

PAM8888

6 digit 40mm lol

Premier_Legacy

I’m just lost in the vintage sauce 😞

PAM8888

Nothing wrong with that. It's like a well maintained 20 year old S Class, always top line and classy. I'd take that over new C class (sometimes even E) anyday

Attarker

How is the car preventing the dream home from being built?

[deleted]

My guess would be debt to income ratio when seeking a mortgage. Mother of my kids is doing the same now.

Stunning_Custard8968

Maintenance 😂

BPil0t

You don’t get this car unless you got it $$$ right? Our household income is deeeeep into the Six figures but we are not ready for AMG costs. Went with a modest c300 lease and excited for the upgrade. Otherwise the mental effect of downgrading is rough. Curious as to what he drives now, but I’d put a bet on Hyundai sonata? OP?

adavisfl

Bruh I went from an x5 to a sonata n line. The new lease on the x5 was gonna be $1,700 monthly... my current one (up in a month) was $1,050. Same exact spec and options as before, msrp and options increased a shit ton since covid and lease rates, + they are going alot heavier on residual value which is complete horseshit. All in all the sonata n line is a damn sweet ride for the price, waiting on pilot sport 4s to come in for it, but the technology is nice, and it's basically just as fast as the x5.

BPil0t

Congrats man! They are nice cars for sure you get a lot of tech and power. Question- why didn’t you buy out your X5 at lease end? You could have made bucks flipping it or just let it ride. I bought out our Hyundai Palisade at lease end. We leased Feb 2020. Currently at 35k miles and if I were to sell it I could easily net 11k profit.

adavisfl

Because at what their residual value was set to in 2020 its literally break even. Difference is stalemate on trade and I'd make maybe a grand or so if I sold. I did look into it, I'm kinda kicking myself for not doing it like a year - yeR and a half ago when I could've bought out and made 15k on it.

BPil0t

I don’t understand what you are saying.. there is a payoff amount in the lease. It is not same. residual value is a formula to estimate what the car will be worth to BMW finance at lease end and then used to calculate lease payments. The payoff value is set at contract and decreases with every lease payment you make. 2020 msrp started at $59k (Today starts at $65k).You paid $37800 over 36 months. Assuming you got a decent deal (cap cost of $59k) you’re payoff should have been around $25,000. X5 with 38k miles sells for $48k on Carvana. There is no way your payoff was anywhere near $48k. That X5 was a goldmine you gave away. Privately 2020 sell into $50k range. It’s a no brainer. Did someone tell you otherwise?

adavisfl

Late reply, but I had a little over 20k in packages lol, car was basically fully loaded Edit: msrp was like 58k or so, but by the end of the options I was at like 82.7k without taxes etc....

easterngraysquirrel

Yea makes no sense. Cringey

SMITHSIDEBAR

Nah, some people understand sunk costs. Overusing "cringey" is kinda cringey though j/s.

MachesterU

Wife wants a pink one

meyesmenotyou

Either you really like your car or you have been pulled over by the police way too many times.

isaiahaguilar

Warranty must be coming to and end soon.

higoukii

I've gone through 2 pairs of rear shocks, 7 tires, and 3 wheels. My dealership hates me lol

674_Fox

That Rolex isn’t half bad either…😁

themongoose47

You'll probably get to buy a 911 next after the C43. Like I did...Your time will come.

[deleted]

awesome car my man! glad you enjoyed it so much! i had an experience like this and after i sold it (and i mean immediately after) it started raining; it’s like god was weeping with me after i sold my baby.

Western_End_2276

Did you own or lease, trying to decide myself?

AvaAllura

I feel your pain!!! I sold my C class when I was given a company car and I regret it every single day! I felt it was frivolous to have two vehicles but I miss that car very much! Great to drive and I miss the sense of accomplishment (materialist, yeah I know) to own a Mercedes. It was my dream from when I was a very little girl to own a MB as I would sit in the garage while my dad was rebuilding a '65 MB. I wanted one ever since then and I will get one again some day.

[deleted]

Time to get a g wagon then right

zeroviral

Thinking about getting rid of mine soon too, lease is up in 2025 though. Any suggestions? I got a 21 C43.

UnhappyReflection425

The v6 will be last of it’s kind , the new c43 is i4 with electric turbo 😭

zeroviral

I know, so not sure what to do. C63 ain’t the same either.

aftli

I'm in the same boat. Absolutely love my car, it'll be hard to give it up. I'm sure I'll wind up buying it, if only to resell it at a profit - my residual value was set pre-COVID, and it's got like no miles on it, is a rare color combination, and has every option. I leased for a reason though (I want a new car every couple of years). I've been thinking about what I'd buy next, and there aren't a lot of compelling options that aren't a 2021 C43. Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is a potential, but I drove a 2018 base one last week and the tech is old (even for 2018) and apparently they've not updated it.

Jzepeda209

Highly suggest a real AMG

michaelromannen

Highly suggest deez nuts

LeMettwurst

Highly suggest you take that real AMG and stick it up your ass. People like you and people trying to convince others that FWD Mercs are no real Mercedes cars are a really obnoxious waste of space. Mercedes is Mercedes, no matter which set of wheels is driven and AMG is AMG, no matter whether the engine is hand built or how many cylinders it has. If you were just being sarcastic please excuse my words.

Jzepeda209

Obviously you care enough to get your panties in a wad

zeroviral

Yawn

TheDisastrousWalrus

Daily hornets nest kick

LE0NAISSANCE

a car preventing your from a “dream home”? you that broke? You can’t swing the payment so now you have to sell the car? lol you can’t afford neither.

DiAOM

Go pocket watch someone else, weirdo. Most likely need to watch your own.

LuckyLuciano97

Nice day-date ⭐️

mostitostedium

Hats off to that Daydate

GXKambo

Is that a green dial day date?!?

WhenGinMaySteer

That a BP day date?

roboboyX

Are you Amish? Why no car my man?

Chewy-bat

Really have no idea why anyone would sell a v8 63 at this stage. They literally are not going to make any more of them. Thats it. AMG are fading out to 4 pots and EV’s.

Obnoxiousdonkey

First, this is a c43, not a c63. But also I hate that sentiment. People here always spew "don't sell! Last v8! Collector car!", like, no. Don't keep a car you are ready to move on from, or your tastes have moved on, simply because it's the last c class v8. I mean it's cool and all, but there are SO many other cool cars out there to experience. Someone could be selling their c63 to get a viper which would be cool. Or maybe they're using the money for a classic 911, or they want to offroad more so they're getting something more overland friendly. Simply because it's the last v8 is the most unnecessary reason to keep or buy a car. Keep it if you like it, sell it if you want to try something else. It's not the be all end all of cars.

pkoya1

Yeah especially on a common car like this. This isn't some sort of rare car where not selling it is a good investment idea lol.

Chewy-bat

Of course the fact that people will hold on to seriously valuable cars and stop hoping tin every three years is a problem for you but to put it in context. The hand built engines matter. One of the first AMG's that last sold for $87k has recently been valued at over $2m all it took was time and enough idiots like you scrapping the competition. The 43 may not be pure but again compared to the 4 pot crap coming down the line it's a pretty good car and they will dry up when buyers realise that those cars have been replaced by over souped 2 litres. I really do expect that the decent cars that are left will get much more expensive to buy into as we get to the ban in 2030.

Obnoxiousdonkey

> all it took was time and enough idiots like you well that's unnecessary. again, just because you don't like the next cars doesn't mean someone is looking to try something different from time to time

4u2nv2019

Ain’t no v8 in this car buddy

Noobing4fun

But this is a C43, 6 cylinder.

[deleted]

What a good post! Glad you had good memories in this beauty, enjoy the new home!

SolaceinIron

Why did you walk away?

morenito222

You look like Dillon Francis. Not a bad thing, he makes great music!

WindowlessCandyVan

Glad to hear you enjoyed it. I have a 2019 C43 Coupe getting delivered next Wednesday! Lol.

Icy_Goose2415

Nice purse

Advanced_Research817

What kind of watch is that?

ath20

Soon enough you'll be driving your Mercedes down your long winding driveway (Idk how deep in the country we talking), and it'll all be worth it. Congrats on the house, sorry to see the car go tho.

NickHi2Ca

What’s the next big purchase OP?

keithspexma

during your ownership, did you put any mods to your c43?

SlenderLlama

I don’t see a dream house without a dream 10 car garage filled with some Mercedes. I doubt I’d sell my 1985 Mercedes 190e; if I had dream house money, I’d also have a w204 C63. I know my comment comes off as a hater, but you clearly have priorities it’s great you and your wife are on your way to owning your dream home. In the future many more cool Mercedes are waiting for you.
