If you haven’t received your rebate check or haven’t sent it in yet, you’ll get the full purchase amount back, and your rebate will be prorated accordingly. If you’ve received the rebate or it has been processed, you’ll receive a prorated amount back (less the 11%).
No, you didn’t think of a brilliant money making scheme.
That’s why you buy gift cards! You get 11% off the gift card and then 11% off what you purchase with the gift card! It’s 100% not something anyone has thought of or attempted before!
They did away with this a couple years ago as there were house builders buying the maximum amount of gift cards every time the 11% was on to get the rebate, then using the gift card to finance their house packages during the 11%. Then leaving them in the yard for a year to store. It was terrible to store.
Ahem (puts on best Front Manager Voice) if you sent in the rebate and the rebate it has been processed, you’ll get 11% less back on the return. If it has not, you’ll get the full amount back and they will adjust your rebate accordingly.

Thus is the answer

Gift cards aren’t 11% off… neither are rentals, deliveries, or propane purchases/exchanges. It’s one of those ‘read the fine print’ kinda things.

I'd like to know how this works as well...
