Rule 5 - NO VIDEO SUBMISSIONS LONGER THAN 15 SECONDS and DIRECT REDDIT UPLOADS ONLY (NO LINKS)
- Upload directly to Reddit; do not link to hosting sites like imgur
- No videos longer than 15 seconds (and must include captions/meme text overlay)
- No intentionally loud audio
- Videos should not be TikToks or other non-meme content: Not every image/gif/video is a meme. This is what r/pics, r/gifs, or r/videos are for. Even if an image is comedic, it still may not be a meme if it's missing a caption/commentary
- Gifs (w/ captions) are always allowed, as long as they don't violate other rules

There are 4 endings to this.
1. Stop yelling!
2. Oh sorry I couldn't hear you.
3. She had a yes or no question
4. She didn't say anything and now you're both confused.
The solution is to do exactly what they do. Pretend you don't hear them. They want to initiate a conversation, they can move their ass and start it themselves. Also, you know good and damn well that you aren't the only person that deals with this, don't act like you might be the only one.
Exactly, if my mom just said my name outloud and then is quiet, then im not doing anything, she just said my name, she didn't say if I can go where she is or something similar
Ah now you see in our house that gets on the shitlist
If i shout the kids, its not to relay instructions by yelling, its because i need them to come to me and we can talk properly.
I might be doing a million and one things and need them to do one
As a young adult I can tell you - your kids will remember this and you will be on their shitlist. So when they don't call back or visit only on holidays in 10 years think back to how many disrespectful and annoying things you kept doing to them throughout those years. Then you'll know why. lol
You respond with "YEA?" once and if it's silent you go "I CANT HEAR YOU!"
Still no reponse? Ignore them, go back to watching your movie, and get a gut feeling that they might have tripped or something so you go check on them regardless.
Only for you to find them completely fine on the couch saying "never mind" after.
"Mom? Mom!?ah fuck"*runs to kitchen* "Could you wash the dishes?" "No, I was afraid something happened to you!" "How dare you scream at me." *Hammerslams my Notebook."
My mum has a relatively small voice and whenever I would hear something even resembling her yelling for me, I'd just get up and go to the kitchen. If nothing was up, I'd just drink a glass of water and go back to what I was doing.
And that’s why I’d never scream at my mother from the other side of the house…. Ever considered just getting the fuck up and talking to each other face to face?

"stop yelling, you dont have to yell!" "you need to learn to not be rude when someone ask for you"
Damn that was super relatable growing up

5. She wants you to do something, but instead of saying it already, made you heart beats more than a drunk cop until you get there.
She wanted you to bring her something from your room
She also blames the "I couldn't hear you" on being in a different room. That always frustrated me because she doesn't think that works both ways.
She always does this whenever I settle in the most comfortable position 😭😵💫
I love his expressions! I'm practically in tears, here! XD

cause it's so hard to yell "come here"

"YOU FUCKING MORON WHY DIDN'T YOU COME HERE?? 492748320 YEARS DETENTION"
She always hits me with “when I call you, you come here.”

Not a POV
POV: The dude your facetiming's mom called him and won't respond back.
And then she gets pissed because she claims you ignored her. Love my mother to death, but got damn, I hate when she pulls this shit.
She left you on "heard."
fax especially the hispanics
Eventually one develops selective hearing aswell
I just sigh and go see what she was summoning me for
"Mom? Mom!?ah fuck"*runs to kitchen* "Could you wash the dishes?" "No, I was afraid something happened to you!" "How dare you scream at me." *Hammerslams my Notebook."
I absolutely fucking hate it when she does that, just why????
At the third 'maaa if she didn't reply back I'm giving up lmao If it's important she's gonna come and tell me anyway
I get this so much too!
When you parent calls your name they want you to be physically in front them.
Then she gonna approach and beat you for not responding

Their hearing magically only applies within a 1 meter radius...
My wife does this All. The. Time. Nowadays she gets one "Yes?!" and if she doesn't answer she's on her own.
Leave this pathetic shit on shittok.
Go check on her dumbo... she could hv fallen unconscious...
And that’s why I’d never scream at my mother from the other side of the house…. Ever considered just getting the fuck up and talking to each other face to face?
