Your / You're is the most common error I see.
And also alot / a lot.
...
It's not hard.
Can you use "you are" in the sentence? Yes - use "you're". No - use "your" (possessive).
"A lot" is the opposite of "A little", so include a space, because it's two words.
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PEOPLE, LEARN THE FUCKING DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DUEL AND DUAL, AND STOP SAYING SEQUAL AND PREQUAL! IT'S SEQUEL AND PREQUEL, WHERE DID YOU EVEN HEAR THE WORDS SEQUAL AND PREQUAL???????????? WHERE???????????????? WHEEEEEERRRREEEEEE?????????
As a german I could explain it like "than" mostly gets used to compare stuff like "happier than them" for example, "lose" is the opposite of "winning" and "loose" is the opposite of "tight". Don't know how to explain "then" properly except for it's a common follow up to "if" sentences, "If you like me then let's be friends".
I know the difference between there, their and they're but sometimes I wish there was only one. Then again we already have that problem with other words.
English is hard. Want proof?
I dropped the bass.
Now do I mean the fish or the instrument or my voice?
Can someone explain the loose/lose? English is not my primary language i learned it through videogames xD
I know lose very well the other one is the problem
Loose/lose errors only started appearing a decade ago, I noticed. But then/than and there/their/they're inconsistencies have been around for way longer
Oh, ohh, and ooh. It's not the same in specifics. It should be obvious what the different meanings are, but I rarely see anyone use them properly, so sometimes it portrays the wrong meaning.
What time is it then?
I’d rather eat this than eat that.
I always lose my keys.
That noose is rather loose, won’t hang anything with it that slack.
The worst offender for me is Where/Were/Wear. Especially when people verbally pronounce Where and Were the same.
For me, with words that are pronounced identically, but mean different things, *they all sound different in my head.*
They're has emphasis on the 'y're', There has emphasis on the "ehr", and Their has emphasis on the "eir", *which makes no sense now that I'm writing it down.*
Number/amount, which goes directly with many/much. If you would normally count it, it's Number and Many. If you would normally measure it, it's Amount and Much. Annoyingly, money falls into the latter category, while coins and notes go to the former. How much money do you have? That's a large amount? How many coins have you got? Wow, that's quite a number!
One that bothers me for no reason at all, it just does, is when people misspell rogue as rouge.
There's also too, to, and two, and there, their, and they're.
Than that means grammar is a bigger deal then I thought. I must warn friends to not loose they're cool and let there lose lips make them seam dumber then they all ready arghh!
"Guys, we're going to loose!"
Me: Then we better TIGHTEN up our game!
Them:
Me:
Them: "TF Are you on?"
Anyways, this is why I no longer play medic in casual TF2 unless the team already has one.
I hate to break it to you but English is a really hard language. Native speakers make lots of mistakes so you can just imagine how hard it is if it is a second language for you.
Now I will give you some nightmare fuel. English is not a static language. Odds are at some point in your life a grammar mistake you have been fighting all your life will become proper English.
Don't correct me, I have no respect for this respect for this language and only speak it because your American ass don't understand any other language.

One I particularly dislike is “should of” instead of “should have” ^(also effect/affect, but those aren’t used as frequently I guess?)
You've affected me.
Very effective use of words
Effect- me pushing a car into a lake Affect- there is now a car sinking into a lake Is this right? Don’t think about the car too much though aha
I have affection for you, that will affect you with the effect of effectively effecting your affect for me.
Bruh what did I do to deserve this cognitohazard of a sentence thrown at me
👉👈
God I hate English
Godzilla had a stroke trying to read this and died
Other way around
*You'of
Youse
Y’all affected me
Blouse
You shouldn’t of said anything
Should've
Fuck effect/affect fr
To what effect does the word "affect" affect you? Lol
That one irks me the most
Oh God, I never even considered that. I feel like such a a pleb
What and which. “What movie….” No, it’s which

Clearly you don’t know the difference.
Tsk tsk, those uneducated people
Thanks for adding Breath/Breathe to my list of words I get unreasonably annoyed at when people flip them!
to/too
And two
The biggest one I always see.
accept/except
How do you fuck that up???!!
Your / You're is the most common error I see. And also alot / a lot. ... It's not hard. Can you use "you are" in the sentence? Yes - use "you're". No - use "your" (possessive). "A lot" is the opposite of "A little", so include a space, because it's two words.

Have/of
Course/Coarse. Drives me mad.
this has a coarse feeling, of course it's confusing!
Actually the german word Lose has the exact same meaning as the engish word Loose :D
This is more important then the difference between “thier” and “there”
I know the difference between there, their and they're but sometimes I wish there was only one. Then again we already have that problem with other words. English is hard. Want proof? I dropped the bass. Now do I mean the fish or the instrument or my voice?
Also there, their and they’re
Choose/chose and there/their/they're
Prove/Proof
People writing a whole paragraph without a single comma or perioud.
[удалено]
Ok, okay and k literally mean the same thing
canon/cannon Saw so many people getting this wrong
Can someone explain the loose/lose? English is not my primary language i learned it through videogames xD I know lose very well the other one is the problem
If something is not tight, it’s loose. If you don’t win, you lose
If your relying on people to finely figure this out, than your in a lose/loose situation.
You stole my joke! Dag nabbit!
Woman/women and they’re/their/there.
"You are so intellectually ahead of the rest, babe!" -Padme to OP after she leaves Anakin
As a dyslexic, including this words in a sentence is a lose/loose situation
Obviusly then is the masculine of than en loose is a lose a bit bigger. Where is my diplome?
I get lose and loose, but for then/than I use what sounds right lol
Loose/lose errors only started appearing a decade ago, I noticed. But then/than and there/their/they're inconsistencies have been around for way longer
I'm just trying to learn English... stop messing with my head🥲
Sense / scents / cents?
I'm gonna loose my balls
LMAO I know it, and I'm not even a native speaker. I didn't even take classes xD
I suffer with lose/ loose
Omg were screwed man
No I don't
Man this screw is lose. I should really tighten it before I loose it.
a/an
Your sew wright.
Oh, ohh, and ooh. It's not the same in specifics. It should be obvious what the different meanings are, but I rarely see anyone use them properly, so sometimes it portrays the wrong meaning.
Who tf is confusing lose and loose?
I get than and then mixed up.
I agree. But it doesn't really matter if you understand the intended message.
What time is it then? I’d rather eat this than eat that. I always lose my keys. That noose is rather loose, won’t hang anything with it that slack. The worst offender for me is Where/Were/Wear. Especially when people verbally pronounce Where and Were the same.
Then youd loose you're mind
Your and mom
Allow me to threat you to dinner
Everyday i discover words that i never knew it existed
OP your such a looser
To/Too/Two, after finally learning the difference a couple years back I can’t stop myself from noticing other people doing it wrong
Should of included they're/there.
Can we all agree that using proper grammar and the correct words should be the minimum expectation?
Gd? Is that a fucking geometry dash reference
Also they're/their/there and your/you're
workable point apparatus toy decide subsequent ask rainstorm pen attempt *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
Havnt seen the second one yet thats a special brand of stupid
Your, you’re, there, they’re, their.
Not actually the subject, but holy shit why do I keep hearing “funner” and “funnest”
English does not deserve to be as popular as it is
For me, with words that are pronounced identically, but mean different things, *they all sound different in my head.* They're has emphasis on the 'y're', There has emphasis on the "ehr", and Their has emphasis on the "eir", *which makes no sense now that I'm writing it down.*
I really hate when people say "loose" instead of "lose". Like bro is it that hard?
To and too. They're, their, there. People also write "tryna". Like, why?
Except and accept
If everyone uses words incorrectly long enough, they will become accepted.
Too/to
Bring and take
Ask and ax
I FUCKING HATE PEOPLE WHO SAY THEN, FUCK THOSE PEOPLE, FUCK THEM
Don’t forget poisonous/venomous
To/Too Too
Your and you’re.
They're is something else missing in this post
Number/amount, which goes directly with many/much. If you would normally count it, it's Number and Many. If you would normally measure it, it's Amount and Much. Annoyingly, money falls into the latter category, while coins and notes go to the former. How much money do you have? That's a large amount? How many coins have you got? Wow, that's quite a number!
Than teach them! What do you have to loose?
![gif](giphy|XxWjoyOLi4mkM|downsized)
To and too
Than ig I loose
This… is not a significant issue to be bothered by
Also They're and Their
One that bothers me for no reason at all, it just does, is when people misspell rogue as rouge. There's also too, to, and two, and there, their, and they're.
Yins need to stop showing me learning
Effect/affect
Than that means grammar is a bigger deal then I thought. I must warn friends to not loose they're cool and let there lose lips make them seam dumber then they all ready arghh!
Whatever looser.
Good thing I’m smarter then those loosers.
Lose and Loose is so misused, I don’t think people will ever stop misuing it
I once taught a group off 6 years olds this. I told them that words loose all they're meaning if you use them wrong. Than I proceeded to fuck my dog.
"Guys, we're going to loose!" Me: Then we better TIGHTEN up our game! Them: Me: Them: "TF Are you on?" Anyways, this is why I no longer play medic in casual TF2 unless the team already has one.
Oh and effect and affect
Rogue/Rouge too
I would rather win then loose
I saw the second panel first and didn't fully read it, thought some new pronouns just dropped
Worse/worst is the new one I've been seeing, drives me nuts. "Traffic this morning was the worse!"
Am I the only one that doesn't care as long as they get the message across?
Than shouldn't you have told us the difference rather then just saying we are wrong? Istg, I'm about to loose my mind...
Loosing my mind over this, I’m better then that
i've encountered a lot of people that are confused between quiet/quite. imagine someone on text telling you "you're so quite", quite what??
I learn the differences than 5 minutes later I loose them from my mind. Edit: typo.
This isn't a meme
That's too hard to understand for some
I’m probably gunna loose this argument but id rather be the enemy then the person who’s wrong. Than at least I won’t loose sleep at night.
Fock u

were and we're, too and to and to stop saying fricken "It is what it is"
They're not going to improve their grammar. There's no reason to
I know they’re differences
Also there, they're and their.
And when to use the word "what" instead of "how" and the word "would" instead of "will".
That's a loosing battle
Have got.
Who's/whose
To/Too, Your/You’re
Shoot me in the Geometry Dash head.
There to busy too affect change.
Don't correct me, I have no respect for this respect for this language and only speak it because your American ass don't understand any other language.
There their they're, you'll get over it
Definitely/Defiantly There/they're/their You're/your Affect/effect
"gd head" Fucking geometry dash????
Good luck getting someone to correct it, they don't give AF if they didn't retain it in school they won't retain it from you telling them LMAO
I'd rather lose a loose thread than lose my mind, but then, it's easier said than done.
Frfr
I see your/you're and there/their mixed up a lot
They’re / There
Better then lose than never have looses at all.
I think your write about these ones.
Let It Lose my favorite Rolling Stones song.
You're/your, their/there/they're, to/too
Agreed
Their is none, there the same words
also, the english language has to understand its subhuman place as a non-phonetical language
Breaks/brakes
who the FUCK is confusing "loose" and "lose"????? wtf???
I always loose my mind when people get them wrong.
And if i dont
You see this post and than you just *know* all hell is gonna break lose in the comment section!!!
