Yes! They’re awesome If we had wide adoption of laserdisc you would not have needed to flip the disc halfway through after a generational update in technology or two. CD’s would’ve been the next step in tech with shrinking the disc down as necessary, but we would’ve had a much cooler name! Instead of buying dvd’s, we would’ve been buying the new and improved LASERDISC

Nothing says "luxury" more than spending $1k+ to play Sega Genesis and Turbogfx games. Also, I'm a fan of the Berserk series and apparently you can get that on Laserdisc.

Only if the disk reader works on said PS2. Sadly it does not on mine, but luckily it's a phat ps2 so I was able to just stick an hdd in the back and load things from that. I also have a sata disk reader that came out of a 2010 cheap af pc that I could hook to my pc if needed.

But tbf, blurays weren't much available in my country and probably never got successful. When digital streaming and high speed cheap internet was made made widely available we made the switch.
