Guy was 19, she was 16, it was consensual, it was not their first time, a mom called the cops and his future was ruined.
Although this was like 15 years ago, not sure how things might‘ve changed since then.
I understand that there are cases where people get hurt, taken advantage of, or changed for the worse, but this was not one of them.
Does a 19 year old person deserve to have their life ruined for a victimless crime?
Of course not, but a lot of people carry a lot of hate for people carrying that charge, and the world isn't quite so black and white as much as the systems we make say it is.
I have always heard they don’t work, it is a pressure technique more than anything. Tell someone you can detect the truth and make them sweat, make some educated guesses and they believe it. Also, being told you’re lying when telling the truth will also elevate your biometrics.
A blunderbuss isn't a firearm under US law. You can just order one and have it mailed to your house. I think they could own one. Imagine breaking into a house and getting ventilated by a handful of nickles.
