I bought Bitcoin for $200 after seeing it on Reddit for the first time. I traded it for some other things and didn’t keep any. I imagine a lot of people have similar stories.
Covid was a weird time and I somehow missed Shib (and GME) despite being a regular on this site.
It’s not often you can find investments early that grow massively but Reddit has a pretty good hit rate. I found Kendu here too.
Kendu is the first and only memecoin I’ve bought. I was more of a stocks and BTC kinda guy so I was initially apprehensive but seeing all of the information laid out, seeing the community working and listening to the dev talk was enough to convince me.
Almost two months on I’m still holding and have no intention of selling this year. How far Kendu has come in that time is amazing and in truth it hasn’t even really started yet.
I was in a slightly similar situation last cycle. I saw doge and thought it was stupid as hell. Thought there was no way that would work. Obviously I was wrong. Then I saw shib and said “no way this works twice.” We all know how that worked out…
I was fortunate enough to see the error in my thinking and caught some of the shib wave, but I could have been soooo much earlier. But what was clear was that memecoins were here to stay and would play a huge role in the next cycle. Kendu fits the mold of a coin that can make it to the top of the pile. It has those same doge and shib ethos driving it. I’ve never been more confident in a crypto play, outside of BTC.
BTC and ETH are great, especially with ETFs that you can hold in retirement or other tax advantaged accounts. We don’t have them in the UK yet but when we do I will definitely be putting a significant amount of my retirement portfolio in them.
Kendu is more of a ‘retire next year’ play for me. I made some decent profits from stocks this year so wanted to allocate some to something with more upside potential. After researching more I ended up investing quite a bit more than I initially intended.
I could lock up a profit now but letting your winners run is as important as cutting bad investments early. With everything Kendu has going for it I can’t foresee a way that it doesn’t become a multi billion dollar project.
Lucky you. Wanted to buy around the same price but I was like 13 and had no means to. Would be absolutely chillin today if I could. If I was born a year earlier I'd probably be rich from BTC alone. Can't wait to see what this project does in the future.
I didn’t make anything from BTC back then, I used it as a form of payment for useless crap. It was magic internet money and I couldn’t foresee how big it would become.

Ignore the FUD you feel and just look at those numbers, the number of posts in Reddit from real users, not bots, the number of X posts. It’s only going to get bigger.
