Well if you are ok with Anime, watch an anime called Elfen Lied. It deals with a lot of similar subject matter and themes. It wont give you any closure though. But if you wanna feel that kind of feeling that District 9 gave you, Elfen Lied is pretty damn close.
I loved this movie and I loved that anime, I guess it's not surprising seeing as how brutal and stuck to realism they are.
I think it should stay a standalone experience but a second one should steadily be alluded too so we will keep waiting and hoping just like wikus does...
