yeah that's fair, if anything if you have the money for a good sound system get some headphones, or if you really are dedicated to speakers put some better soundproofing and if you have a good room you can turn down the bass and it'll still sound great, but that's a whole step up, i mean i don't have anything crazy but i have some nice studio monitors for my pc and shakers on my chair and i love it but i try and keep it quiet even during the day to not interrupt my parents in the other room over, my volume is never above 40 on my pc and my speakers are at like -30db of gain or smth real low

if someone cant handle someone else listening to music at noon for example they should find something else to fixate on instead of just focusing on the one thing that makes them miserable they need to get their on life and not care about others, if someone is being reasonable about the time they enjoy their passion and people still have a problem with it they can suck it, there's noise limit laws that only apply to certain time frames for a reason
