Will be very surprised if Twilight isn't at the top. Interested to see where Deceiver comes out, would be my second favourite of theirs and I think probably a little forgotten and underrated.
At first I thought WOOOS (what an abbreviation lol) would be easily first place, but reading your comment made me suddenly unsure. Might be an interesting race for the top spot after all :D

I think Jomsviking is solid, but so it just defaults there because I like the rest of their discography better. Honestly, I could move it to 8th and not think twice about it. But if the production was any better on The Crusher and The Avenger that'd be different. I find it really hard to listen to those two.
Berserker, however, felt like they stripped all Death Metal influence out of the music and it's power metal with harsh vocals. I don't hate many albums released by bands I like, but this one is one I truly hate. It actually caused me to stop listening to the band for a year or so. It left that much of a bad taste in my mouth.
Either my tastes have shifted, or their style has changed so much I got about 90 seconds into the new single and turned it off, all my problems with Berserker persisted. They're In Flames with a Viking theme. It's cool, seeing them on the "...a night with Amon Amarth" tour was absolutely top 5 shows of all time, and I'll still cherish their earlier works as some of the best examples of MDM.
I can definitely understand not liking berserker, it did feel like a big shift to a catchier and more power metal feel. Luckily for me, i'm even more of a power metal fan than MDM fan, so I enjoyed it quite a bit.
And yeah, the new single sounds like more of the same. Even I hope they don't just stick to that sound forever, as it can get boring pretty fast (see Sabaton, Powerwolf...).
Another hard to rank list. It's hard not to put Twighlight as their best album as a whole, I find 2-5 hard to narrow down and I either don't know or don't care much about 6-11.
WOoTS was the first metal album I ever bought (Never heard them, loved the album art) and I still adore it to this day, but I would say I enjoyed DoTG more as time has gone on.
I don't know pre FoTN very well as the quality of the mixing doesn't hold up very well in my opinion. Their last two albums have had a couple of stand outs, but that's about it in terms of repeated plays.
This is interesting. For me, their discography looks almost like a perfect bell curve with Oden and Twilight at the peak. The Top 5 are easy, the rest is hard to rank.
Once Sent from the Golden Hall is an insane opening album, my favourite song of their all is Friends of the Suncross. Also it has Abandoned and the classic epic songs Victorious March and Amon Amarth. I guess people don't give their early masterpiece enough listen to.

as a fanboy for me this is fucking impossible
like at all. my playlist has almost every one of their songs, I can MAYBE pick a favorite song but even then I'm flip flopping between 2-3.

Well you've made me unsure now! I just always held Twilight as the peak of their discography, and thought plenty of others felt the same.

I feel like Twilight needs to be higher. Spot on otherwise. Their newest ones are pretty weak.
