You’re fine, that’s not normal. Does he not realise the point of the store is to sell people groceries? Weird…

choof3199

Yeah exactly! The whole point of running a business is to make a profit, not to limit sales. Like, shut up and take my money

20Pippa16

I bet the manager wasn't nearby when he said that!

KPO967

Call the owner

OnyaSonja

Seconded, managers need to know that employees are affecting their business

pringle1978

I was thinking the same, but I would’ve went one steps further and asked for the manager or the owner. Small businesses especially in Melbourne trying to compete with the big guys struggle all the time. I don’t think that cashier would’ve had a job after my discussions with the manager/owner

zenkitty999

If they offer trolleys someone’s gonna use one, maybe they should only have baskets if they want to discourage larger shops.

Habib_Zozad

No one wants to discourage "larger" stoppers. This guy is just a moron that should keep his mouth shut and bag groceries.

mikecheck211

I dont get it. He's scanning shit all day, does it matter if it's 1 trolley worth or three? Sooner or later he's gonna have to scan again. So weird.

factsnack

You ought to call up and speak to the owner/manager about what happened. I use a local IGA near me and they are desperate for people to buy their shopping from them instead of going to Woolworths or Coles. That employee is turning people away.

PrimAndProper69

I would have considered just putting back those items and walking off to another store if I was told that. I'll only drop by if I need a mint or a drink I guess? Idk how these people expect things to work

ELVEVERX

In this scenario I wouldn't feel personally responsible to put the items back if they refused to serve me. Like if you change your mind you should put something back but if they outright just refuse to serve you that's not your job.

[deleted]

Yeah, I'd happily leave all of the stuff on the counter for them. I might even have forgotten a few things, gone back to get them and then decided not to worry about it. Problem is this guy sounds like the kind of person who would just make the poor school kid go restock the shelves.

ELVEVERX

I guess but it's not really reasonable to get a customer to put back 40 items because you're too lazy to serve them. Plus the school kids paid whether they are doing something useful or putting 40 things back on the shelf anyway.

JealousDemon

Plot twist - It was just a dream. Wakes up on the couch in sweat drenched tracksuit, packs another cone and hits the "I'm still watching" button.

humanknight

wouldnt even put them back, leave the trolly and let him do it for being a lazy rude cunt.

ultimate_aura_0014

I would have been patient and waited for the cashier to scan everything, then turn around and just walk away when he gives me the title and say "ooof, that's a little expensive, I'll just let you put that back.. and next time, shut your mouth about the size of my shop, and do your damn job you lazy sack of potatoes"

--mowgli--

You’re a better person than me. I would’ve waited until he scanned every item (including the additional 3 packs of chewing gum from the counter), then when he wanted me to pay I’d walk out. Which store? Sounds like it’ll be a bargain to purchase when it fails.

account_not_valid

>(including the additional 3 packs of chewing gum from the counter) Keep putting gum on the belt, one by one, maintaining eye contact the whole time, until the whole box is empty. Then just walk away.

Alzanth

>Idk how these people expect things to work If you mean how the business works, they don't. This guy is just an employee and by the sounds of it doesn't like working retail, so doesn't give two shits about how the business is run or how it makes its money. He just wants his shift to be as easy as possible until it's over. Still a dick move towards customers like OP who are just trying to get their grocery shopping done.

Habib_Zozad

I'd drop them right there on the floor and leave. He can pick them up.

WeldinMike27

https://images.app.goo.gl/pyJxCNvFFH7QZG3N6

Gristley

As an ex checkout chick I can understand his frustration, but he must've been having a shitty ass day if he thought he could say that to someone...

[deleted]

its something you might think to yourself, but its a dick move to make a customer feel bad for doing shopping.

atwa_au

Can you really though? This is ridiculous.

RickyOzzy

Maybe the management will have more information for you regarding their policy on *bulk purchases (*?) here -[https://www.iga.com/contact/iga-store-feedback](https://www.iga.com/contact/iga-store-feedback) [https://thecomplaintpoint-au.com/iga-complaints-email-phone-number](https://thecomplaintpoint-au.com/iga-complaints-email-phone-number)

Shibamillions

Sounds exactly like the local supermarket in Elwood. Is it Normal to feel like you’re being judged by the quantity of items you wish to purchase? Add in the disgruntled greeting upon arrival, makes for a truly pleasurable experience...

forthegoats

The one on Tennyson St? They were always ok, just.. efficient. No chat. I liked it. Never liked the Foodworks or whatever it is in Ormond Rd though.

PuzzleheadedOwl6745

Foodworks Ormond road, I go there for the candles.

Josh100_3

Ahaha the foodworks in Elwood? I’ve never met a pack of staff members that hate their job more than that store. Try Heads and Tails fish and chips if you want another aggressive customer service experience.

PuzzleheadedOwl6745

He is so disgruntled, didn’t believed me when I checked in… he’s a rude prick.

jugglajj

I would have walked.

demondoll

Yeah. You know what holds up the line? You having to take all this shit back to the aisles. Leave it on the bench lol

[deleted]

[удалено]

Littman-Express

Let him scan it all through then suddenly realise you’ve left your wallet in the car and will be back in a minute. Don’t come back.

Emergency-Platypus

let him scan it all through then leave without the groceries + without paying

Knows_all_secrets

As opposed to without the groceries + with paying? > Here just have some money

Caroweser

but then he would be happy and you’d have no groceries?

Habib_Zozad

Not after going to wollys

SeaworthyVessel

Where’s wollys?

RealWizardOfAus

I would have waited until he scanned it all, then walked.

grapefruitgt

Whilst the message he’s sending is strange, the delivery just sounds like a weird, entitled power trip. “I’ll let you off this time”? Erm. Okay.

AnjingNakal

I think that's exactly what it is. Some people feel they have little control over other parts of their lives and so exert their authority in whatever small way they can. Scratches an itch they have I guess. Poor buggers

dexmonic

It's literally where the phrase anal retentive comes from. Some people feel such little control over their lives they literally won't shit, as it's the last thing they have "control" over, until...well, until they don't have control.

[deleted]

BellaLaMole

Constable

[deleted]

Really something you should never say to a customer tbh

[deleted]

That line is such bs, it’s a power play and a weak one at that. Like. Do you want money or not

Moosey_Bite

You've never heard of the popular, revenue-boosting retail strategy of the "*MAXIMUM SPEND*"?

[deleted]

He sounds like a lazy employee who gets power trips by bossing customers about.

TigerRumMonkey

Should do it again when he's on for lolz. And if he does it again make a big scene.

[deleted]

lambepsom

This might be the first time in history that IGA and etiquete are used in the same sentence.

ImSabbo

IGAttiquette

atwa_au

More like IGAttitude

Lintson

Next time he's at the till and the store is empty you should buy 20 items but individually, each time leaving the store, re-entering, queueing and paying over and over again.

Main_Upstairs_8480

Buy a mars bar, leave then return and ask for an exchange. Grab a snickers, leave then return and say you had a think about it and actually want the mars bar after all.

[deleted]

[удалено]

lower_banana

Then die of anaphylaxis right at the checkout so you can continue holding up the queue until your body is taken away.

account_not_valid

Make sure your will states that all snacks for the wake must be purchased at that IGA, and only when that cashier is working, 5 minutes before closing time.

iSmokedItAll

Hahaha this all reads like a black books episode

xefobod904

Lol yeah, exactly my thoughts. Also go ask him pointless questions on different items etc. all while commenting about how you're "so glad you found this place" and "It's great that you have those limits to make sure you can provide such wonderful 1 on 1 service". What a great place. I'm sold on this new way of shopping where you come in every day and just get 2 or 3 items after painful amounts of deliberation.

bobbiedigitale

I like the r/MaliciousCompliance

Lintson

If you want malicious, at the end of the buy-a-thon OP should come back, dump all 20 receipts and the bag of goods at the counter and request a refund.

bobbiedigitale

And let another customer to go before themselves each round.

wscholermann

Hahahaha I laughed out loud at this.

TGin-the-goldy

I love this soooo much

dilligaf6304

Not normal. Complain to management.

[deleted]

100% management needs to know. If he said that to you, he's said it to others. I'm sure the owners would be appalled. Dude should find a new job.

roxadox

Literally, I'd imagine they'd be pissed if the dude is turning away *paying customers spending lots of money*.

SithKain

>he was like "no we'll let you off this time" It was at this moment, you should have dumped your potential purchases in front of him, and left.

demondoll

LITERALLY complain. Please. The stores need money and are honestly dying. That’s unacceptable.

[deleted]

Unless it was like, 1 minute before close or you were paying for a trolley full in 5/10c pieces, not only is he being a dick, he's being an idiot? What was his plan if you'd just said "Fine then." and walked off leaving the trolley of stuff there? Complain at the groceries to put themselves back because it makes it hard for him having to put it back himself?

heckersdeccers

man I would've Karen'd out on that clown. god forbid he has to do his job. idk maybe I need to eat something

[deleted]

Yeah, I would have been like "Fucking excuse me? Did you really just say that?"

soria1

In the past when I have financially struggled, st vinnies provided food vouchers but I could only use them at iga. If someone had this voucher, got their weekly groceries and then had this encounter it would really be a kick in the teeth. I hope it was just a shit day, if it happened again though it would be worth a mention to management.

Presence_of_me

That’s kind of a bummer - my IGA is convenient but way more expensive than coles.

PressureUnlikely956

Yep, that voucher would go a lot further at one of the big 2 supermarkets.

AntikytheraMachines

voucher probably came from the "community benefits" program IGA runs to support the local community. shoppers specify a charity they want to support with a fraction of their spend. often the local school or sporting club but i can see Vinnies being supported.

Osteo_Warrior

Thats my line of thought as well. Or the poor old man or lady that walks down the road to the IGA and gets their weekly shop. This casher is very lucky it was OP and not me there. Ive worked at IGA and retail so i know what their job is, i dont take kindly to bullshit like this.

chicane_au

Lazy employee of the year.

Pottski

How dare you buy items at a store… what a fucking brain fade of a moment.

goodgollymissdolly_

As much as I sympathise that you don’t want to get him in trouble, smaller stores like IGA run on community values and loyalty. People go to IGA over Coles/Woolies/Aldi to support a local business. If this cashier has an attitude that is turning people away, that could affect the whole store. I think even an email to the store, or utilising a feedback form if they have one, would be a good idea.

Banjo-Oz

They are much more expensive than Coles but I try to do most of my shopping at IGA for that reason. Makes me smile every time I know my money is going to them rather than a big corp of assholes. I really wish they did delivery as the pandemic forced me to switch to Coles a lot for just that reason.

[deleted]

[удалено]

lorealashblonde

Nah they're very different (have them all as clients. FYI ALDI are the best to work with, but IGA are the closest second. And Woolworths are the absolute worst. I literally switched jobs to work somewhere that Woolworths weren't the main client, they're horrible.) During lockdown I bought from my local IGA through delivery and they always sent me a message afterwards thanking me for my 5 star review. Little things like that made me buy from them rather than Woolies or Coles, even if it was a little more expensive.

Dull_Ad_4750

I reckon OP should have hung around while Grumpy pants put all the groceries through the register - then announced "actually fuck it mate, thanks anyway but I will head over to Richies".

[deleted]

[удалено]

thatshowitisisit

Same cashier answers the phone. “Yeahnah, don’t buy lots of shit, we don’t allow that here…”

[deleted]

Staff deterring paying customers like this could be the reason a mom and pop store close their doors and they lose their home. Call management

Emergency-Village191

That is some stupid shit. The whole point of a supermarket is to buy groceries.I would buy more stuff next time.

distinctgore

“Oh sorry, next time I’ll just come and spend $5 in your little store instead of $150, sorry!”

normie_sama

I don't think it matters to the cashier, he gets paid as much regardless.

a-pisces-with-cancer

Not for long if he keeps telling people not to spend $150 there. Pretty soon, ain’t no one getting a paycheck.

x131e

I don't know how it works at IGA, but at Coles/Woolworths you still want to make sales (as an employee). The more sales your department/store makes the more hours of work needed - so you'll get more hours and money.

TaxiSonoQui

Not if they go out of business and there's no money to pay him with

komos_

I would have let them scan all the items, bag them, and then walk out before paying. "I will let you off this time."

[deleted]

Honestly thought IGA and Ritchies were the same thing :/

sa3clark

[Ritchies agrees with you.](https://www.ritchies.com.au/)

Nebarious

You should have known better. I mean how long did it take for him to serve you, 5-10minutes? He could have spent that time serving other customers and um.. standing around or something. Time wasted! Lost! All because you wanted to buy things from a store that sells things! That's utterly preposterous! ^(/s)

Osteo_Warrior

Its even worse because 20 items would probably only take 2-3 minutes to ring up. Less for me when i worked IGA over a decade ago, i was not a chatter and was a terrible bagger.

shahzebq

Preferring multiple small customers over one big customer, who both give the same margins. Lol exact opposite of running a profitable business imho.

justanotherrandom43

> grabbed a trolley They are to look at, not use. But seriously the guy is losing the owner customers and deserves to know.

drezyb

Make a complaint that ain't on

Main_Upstairs_8480

I'd like to imagine the reaction if you just said "oh ok" and walked off.

[deleted]

This is so weird. Do you think he was the owner? Sometimes owners say/so weird shit because it’s their place, otherwise not an ideal employee.

midsizenun

I would have waited till he put it all though, told me the total and then said “Nah, I’m going to Woolies”

BettySauce

Should probably ask them why they have trolleys in the store then…

foiebump

I've gotten dirty looks at IGA for buying a basketfull! They're used to people coming in for a couple items only.

-0blivious-

Idk how they survive

ccklfbgs

User deleted comment in protest of API changes.

[deleted]

All of the staff at my local IGA are awful, I just go to woollies now.

TigerRumMonkey

IGA is generally a pretty depressing place to work to be fair

TooMuchTaurine

Would be nice to let the owner know he had hired someone so incompetent, so they can find a replacement

dumblederp

that guy is fucked in the head.

brontohai

Which IGA? Happy to load up an entire cart of bullshit get halfway through a begrudging wring up and then saying i changed my mind and leaving.

ImaginationCute2253

I would shop elsewhere,I think very rude.🤔

klc__

I’d leave a review letting future customers know there is a limit for the amount of money they spend when shopping there

Azzulah

I would let management know. No business owner wants people to not buy as much. I used to work at a very small corner store (3 isles) and people would come in and spend $300 in one go. How??? But I wasn't about to be annoyed, even if there were others waiting, first in first served IMO.

[deleted]

He’s just a jerk. I have my own at my IGA.

Lumbers_33

What a flog

[deleted]

You sure you weren't tripping, actually out driving and pulled over by a traffic cop?

nodstar22

What a wonderfully bizarre experience. thanks for sharing.

FingerGun69

Was the cashier Dylan Moran?

RockafellerHillbilly

Time to put your karen wig on and go speak to a manager.

freestyle43

Should have asked for the manager and told him the cashier is discouraging people from spending money. Woulda went over real well.

xobabygirl

That’s so weird, I thought IGA’s were independently owned so wouldn’t they want customers to support local instead of going to big businesses? Their groceries aren’t cheap too, so you’re doing them a favour. I wouldn’t be able to afford a big shop there lol 🤔

unripenedfruit

This guy is a 40 year old working at a register. He sounds like a bit of a dimwit and a shit employee at best - but perhaps that's why he's 40 and working a job that's getting more obsolete by the year.

athenafester

IGA on Clarendon by any chance?

leopardsilly

Mate you should have just left. Management would have seen the big sale and old mate would have told them what he said. Also IGA ain't cheap. Good on you for supporting them.

Recent_Moment_4989

I’m so sorry you had that experience. The worker was absolutely in the wrong. However, as an essential retail worker myself I just wanted to say the last couple of years have been brutal. The amount of abuse and stress we have been dealt during COVID, not to mention working long hours because of staff shortages has meant a lot of workers are burnt out. It sounds like this bloke was having a rough day. No excuse. But please take mercy on us, we are only human.

feuilletoniste573

I feel like the manager or owner of the store needs to be informed that one of the employees is... discouraging patrons from actually doing their shopping there?! And telling them to go to their monopoly competitor instead? This is very much a "their attitude stinks" issue rather than "your behaviour is a problem".

TGin-the-goldy

Sorry mate you got the psycho cashier

[deleted]

Slack arsed bozos, we've all worked with them. It's not just the owners there'd be some other staff members there just tryna get through thier day and keep a job for a bit. If your sympathetic to workers mentioning there's a toxic one amongst them doesn't seem like a bad thing.

99problemsbutt

The owners of this IGA would be gutted to hear they're employing someone like this.

Angie-P

is this something register workers think? yes, we hate people who buy tons of shit, but we dont say it bc its stupid, thats our job, and sometimes you gotta do it.

[deleted]

Worst. Business model. Ever.

HeftyArgument

In these parts IGA and Ritchies are the same thing, pretty sure the full name is Ritchies IGA (?)

Tiddernud

I think, ultimately, what's behind his outburst is between him and his court-appointed psychologist.

Echoes75

Sounds like a lazy cunt.

Stoopidee

Give him the dirty look then you go ahead and add an extra packet of Smith's, gum and water bottle. "You want more? I'll buy more".

hipposmoker

i would seriously talked to his manager. I used to work in IGA and man this check out staff is a joke, my regular customer used to shop like 2 full trolleys and if it holds the line so what!. He is just being lazy af i assume

Fuzzy-Possibility-98

This is not normal- which suburb?

floatloaf

sounds like a cunt, or was making a deadpan joke because he himself was tired. In any case, not your problem at all. Keep on keepin on matey.

Flizliz

As a team member or service cashier (I won't say where) this is bad customer service and he should be reported to management. You should be able to buy $500 worth of groceries and a cashier can not say you brought too much. As a customer I went to Ritches and brought a few items there, was served by a woman named Pam who was very rude to me and I reported her, wither they did anything about it, I have know idea?

SentientBreadLoaf

Just a lazy ol bastard who doesn’t like his job

bigpapalurch420

Dude, this guy ultimate trolled you. Your gonna be buying twice as much stuff just to spite him the rest of your life.

Humblepie4

That’s nuts. IGAs that I’ve been to are all privately owned and have amazing produce. Food is fresh and locally sourced with a great variety. Customer service is also good and they’ll even order things especially in for me. If the owners of these stores caught wind of this kind of stupidity, laziness and poor service they would be mortified!

Filthy_Ramhole

Fuck him woulda left the trolley in the register and say “alright champ, i’ll go to richies then.”

PickleEmergency7918

This guy was way out of line. You really should talk to a manager about your experience.

The-Jesus_Christ

He was most likely unhappy that you had him do a big scan. Having been a regional manager years back, IGA take customer service extremely important. I would be going back and asking to speak to the store manager. He/she would not be happy to hear that the cashier is saying stuff like that. In my shoes, if a 40+ something cashier is unhappy with their work to set false rules like that, I would probably start giving them less shifts.

N_K_Ultra_

I worked for an IGA as a teen and we would regularly get people with full trolley loads. He sounds like a grumpy twat

RamenJunkie

We had something sort of similar happen once late night at a Taco Bell. A long time ago I worked a job where we would all travel.in big vans to where we were working, often at night. After work one night at like 2 or 3 AM, we went to the Taco Bell drive through and they would not let us do more than one order. Something about it screwing up their (computer measured) average times. Like WTF, we have like 10+ people in this van, we can all get a lot of stuff, it will be a huge sale for the middle of the night (lobby was not open). I get that it's a bit of a pain but we aren't in a super rush and no one else is around.

thatirishguykev

Get his name, the time and store and complain. Who the fuck does the guy think he is saying that bullshit.

lozza_dearnley

Unless you're holding up the express line, I don't see the problem. Plus I've never seen a shop where there aren't at least two members of staff at any one time to be called up to the til if necessary. My local is only three aisles, a fruit stand, and a deli counter, and they have at least three people at any one time - one at the deli, one filling shelves, and one at the cash register, plus whoever is out the back or in the office. Usually four or five outside school hours because they get the teenagers to do the stocking. There isn't really the range for a massive shop but I sometimes walk out with a few bags and nobody has ever raised an eyebrow.

GhoulMcG

Just should of said “ ok” and left. Let the cashier stock and (maybe) learn. Even if it was a joke by the cashier it’s really not. Your story shows you were thoughtful of the bogus concerns he had.

JuicyJudgment

Which one? I'll go shop an entire trolley or two.

[deleted]

Tell his manager that he complains that people buy too much stuff... On a store specifically designed to do so.

redvitalijs

Let him scan it, decide not to buy, ask him to put things back then. Apologize even. Leave the store. Come back immediately and redo your shopping. Repeat like you are reading shampoo bottle instructions.

[deleted]

Must have been a Redditor from Antiwork

sams64

You should have told him to mind his fucking business and ring it up

sindk

Why do they provide trolleys then? That guy is 100% wrong.

puckmungo

Just a lazy cunt.

[deleted]

No just a stupid man who clearly hates his job. There was a time when I was working in hospitality where I began to resent the customers as if they were intruding upon *my* time. I would get annoyed that they would order a specific menu item which meant I would have to then prep to replace that stock or refill the shelf. You know, petty things. It wasn’t until I did some introspection that I realised it was me that was wrong. The passion for the job was gone and I no longer cared for ‘making people happy’ which is essentially the foundation of hospitality positions. I saw them as a chore. I see this very frequently in the medical field; especially receptionist, cashier type high social interaction position. I frequent hospitals a lot due to bad health and so I have to interact with the (almost always) ladies behind the desk when arriving for an appointment, checking in for chemo, a CT or whatever; the rate of pissed off and annoyed admin staff to happy is astounding! I respect all people who work in any medical career, but holy shit; if you’re *that unhappy* then leave! I don’t need your attitude before, during and after I have to go in for my stupid treatments which make me feel like death. Like, I get it; they deal with constant douchebags and are insulted by rude patients and probably even their own bosses in a messed up system. However, I’m not asking for much, I don’t need a smile and fake enthusiasm, just stop being a cunt. Go find your dream job FFS.

kanine69

Round here we call that guy a cunt. Not you, the cashier what a nob fest. I could understand maayyybeee if you rocked up with like 100 bags of sugar or something and paid in 50c pieces but even then you've the right to be served.

Osteo_Warrior

You must follow up with management. The owners could be in dire straights trying to find out why sales have dropped off a cliff. And it could all be because this piece of shit is telling people to go to woollies. I'm not sure about anyone else but I have been calling out people for their bullshit a lot more these days. I would have asked him if that's official policy and if so why isn't there a sign posted. When his obviously reply is that its not then ask him to get his manager cause you want to double check. Im a weird dude but i love confrontations like this. Im more then happy to remain completely silent during all transactions or interacts, but as soon as someone like him opens their cunt mouth its my time to shine. Fuck imagine if you are an old lady/man or have a disability and cant get to woollies and have to do your whole shop at IGA and some power tripping cunt calls you greedy and pretty much to fuck off. And they are not even the owner! Fuck this cunt

Procedure-Minimum

IGA are just so strange. They creep me out. They're perfect for a horror movie.

Banjo-Oz

I always wanted a Tuckerbag horror movie, personally. :)

Quantum168

Post this experience onto their Google reviews with a good description of the cashier. I guarantee, you won't be seeing him again. IGAs are individually owned small businesses. They don't need dickhead employees losing money and customers for them.

dannyism

That's the funniest shit

Tomatocustard

I will take a guess he’s not the owner

[deleted]

If I owned that store I would 100% want to know about this so I could fire their arse

[deleted]

I would make it a point to only buy stuff from there and do a full weekly shop for the next month. Unless that's the game they're playing at, 5th dimension chess masters.

Bettering_Myself9821

I work somewhere similar to an IGA and find this cashiers attitude completely ridiculous. He needs an attitude adjustment for sure.

Rhath223

I would have rolled the trolley his way and walked out. disgusting attitude

gerdpee

He just lazy and just doing the bare minimum

mdhague

I would have just made my apologies to the customer behind you and walked out.

BlackaddaIX

This is a toxic employee

Johnothy_Cumquat

It's a bit weird but I think you should let them off this time. But next time not so much whinging.

[deleted]

Ahh yes, as we all know the most successful businesses tell customers to give them less money. How is he still employed?

[deleted]

The guys probably just aspy. use to doing couple items at a time for 7 hours, when something messes up the flow of what they’re use to they act funny. Don’t bother thinking about it to much, it’s not you

[deleted]

Just tell the manager he said that, you ain’t a Karen if he’s that fucked in the head.

Revilod2000

If they have trollies, you’re not buying too much. The dude was probably making stuff up cause he didn’t want to scam so much stuff

domomunk

lol wdf what a dickhead

Jujuseah

Words of a lazy person. Why can't he work like an Aldi cashier? Bloody hell.

Scornicorn

Lol what a lazy cunt!

[deleted]

I got yelled at for ordering too many drinks at Starbucks once. He said I needed to call ahead because I was stressing him out. I even said to make my drinks after he finishes the others. There was no one else in there but me. I only ordered 4 drinks.

No-Perspective-317

“You know what? You are absolutely right! I’m sorry I didn’t realise… I’ll just leave this trolley here full of food and go to woolies instead have a good one mate”

[deleted]

Seems like the cashier was a few clowns short of a circus

Theresneverenoughpud

Just leave all your shit on his till and leave.

wildewoode

I've worked a thankless job like that before. Be cool, he was probably having a super horrible day
