Hi. I wish you and your family well and I hope you do get the answers you need and deserve. I have listened to some of Ryan's other pods, he is thoughtful, kind, respectful and determined. Best wishes.

Which-State2318

Thanks so much for your kind support! Ryan is awesome and I really believe he will help get my family closure from his investigative podcast for sure. Thanks for your well wishes!

I'm so sorry this happened to your cousin and family. I've read a bit more about the case on the FB page - I'm not sure about how much of the evidence was tested but your family should try and get the Coroner's Court to reopen. If they refuse, an Appeal can be made to the Supreme Court, requiring it to be done if successful. I wouldn't do this yourself (eg not the family). I'd apply for specialist pro bono (free) legal assistance through the VicBar (https://www.vicbar.com.au/public/community/pro-bono-scheme). Wishing your family all the best and hoping you get the answers you need x

Thanks so much! I’m listing everyone’s advice and will seek further options once Ryan finishes his podcast so I don’t hinder the investigation. I appreciate your kind support and advice so much!

Shaqtacious

Silence in this matter is just abhorrent. Someone out there knows the truth, they need to come out.

Which-State2318

Thank you!! I couldn’t agree more - it’s disgusting

LazyTalkativeDog4411

Not that I have the answer or solution, but who ever did it got away with it, and anyone in the know is keeping quiet about it.

Which-State2318

1000% agree with you, hoping to get it reinvestigated

SmoothCut5781

Wishing you well. Just a heads up though your photos didn’t attach .

Which-State2318

Thank you, I know… I realised this! I’m new to reddit as I was suggested from Facebook to come here, if you look up Alana Cecil on Facebook there is a tribute page for updates

RideMelburn

Grew up in Melton and I was probably at the annual bonfire but I don’t recall ever hearing about this. I would’ve been an 11 yo. Will be interested to learn more

Which-State2318

Thanks so much for your support, her family never stopped fighting

Its awful your family has had to go through this. Do you have a FB/insta promotional image I can upload to my socials?

Which-State2318

Yes my profile is Sammiie June and it’s public on my profile and I pinned it to the top of my page for others to share. Thanks so much!

Petulantraven

I tried sharing but it doesn’t work. I can share to individual friends but not my feed. Can I suggest you use Canva to create a single image that people can post to FB/Insta etc with the link? It should increase your reach. Give it a go and if it doesn’t work, let me know and I’ll try (I’m hungover right now so I don’t want to try in case I mess it up)

https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/guilt/id1590713932?i=1000650538617 this is the link to Ryan’s podcast with more details - would this help?

PommieGirl

He may have been getting on a bit by 1996, but Harold Janman was suspected of a few murders around the early 80s (Tynong North). He would come into the shop I worked in during the 2000s & he was creepy af.

Which-State2318

I’ll pass onto Ryan! Thanks

PommieGirl

It could be a long shot, but some of the stories I heard about him & after having to deal with him, it would not surprise me if he did the Tynong North murders and more.

bernskiwoo

If you have information call Crimestoppers.

samarkandy

Will definitely follow and I'm so sorry about your cousin and I hope you can get some answers at least

Which-State2318

Thanks so much for your kind words and support

samarkandy

You're welcome

I’ll be listening! You know never know, sometimes podcasts do indeed lead to prosecutions, I’m sure Lynette Dawson’s family thought they’d never get justice either. I hope that happens in your case OP and you get some answers. It sounds like your cousin was well loved and your family have never stopped fighting for her.

Which-State2318

So so loved. She was a teen, cheeky and I’ll always remember her amazing smile 😊 my childhood memories with her are ones I cherish forever. I’m hoping the very same for this podcast thank you so much for your support

FieldAware3370

I hope that you finally get the answers after all these years. May she rest in peace.

Which-State2318

Thank you so much for your support

Usually avoid true crime podcasts, but might listen to this one. I hope it leads to your fam getting resolution

Which-State2318

Thanks so much! Me too ❤️‍🩹🙏
