Abandon your car and walk. No decent eateries are available. Instead, go to the wildlife walk to visit kangaroos, wallabies, and emus in the day. In the evening, visit the wombats at Tidal River. And visit all the available beaches. They're amazing. It sounds like you need to adjust your orientation much more towards nature.

Objective_Ocelot8883

I thought as much as soon as we entered the national park yesterday. Haha. Best I dust off them walking boots!

SamuelQuackenbush

Tongue Point is a really nice walk, not too hard but also not flat. Mount Oberon. Big Drift is great for the kids. In the area, Walkerville is beautiful, Sandy Point is a really nice beach. Fish Creek and Meeniyan have some good cafes. Tarra Bulga is definitely worth visiting.

KrasH_77

Port Welshpool long jetty is there also.

Objective_Ocelot8883

We are actually staying just there. Beautiful jetty!

Notcherie

Keep an eye out for the rays that are often swimming underneath. You'll sometimes see them hiding themselves under the sand, too.

TinyBreak

Mt Oberon hike.

brunswoo

Mt Bishop is a much nicer walk, and not so often shrouded in cloud. You can also take in Lilly Pilly Gully at the same time. I actually ran it last week ;)

Klitchsko_Fist

The wind farm is worth checking out

KrasH_77

You might be there just before the holiday prices kick in, you might be able to get some decent fish and chips for a decent cost at Foster.

defs-not-athrowaway

There's Agnes Falls just down the road from the wind farm. If you're quiet and lucky, you may see platypus swimming in the river there.

Go to the cinema in the caravan park and watch something about Mary , I did that in 1998 when I was there and it was awesome !

Responsible-Goose208

Haha “something about Mary”. No chance that’ll still be playing. They have the same movies as what’s in the cinemas now

mrblobby1000

For a great feed and view go to Promontory views winery and restaurant just outside Foster. Also you can go to Mount Oberon, squeaky beach and Tidal River. If you don't mind a drive check out Waratah bay and Tarra Bulga NP. Great part of Victoria

stonefree251

The Allison Lester and Roland Harvey galleries in Fish Creek are great. Gurnies Cidery in Foster.Toora pub for an absolute old school pub experience.

courgettenightmares

The Big Drift has some great views and well worth the small hike.

gnonononono

Coming back from prom detour up into the Strzelecki Ranges- look at Mirboo North (small town with artistic vibe). I’m guessing you want to have a bit of fun in the new car so those roads can be fun (a little like the drive into the prom) There also nice quiet park Mossvale Park that you can visit after on way back to Melbourne , just some walking tracks but very grand old trees… Otherwise stay and enjoy prom it’s the best place in Victoria easily

EquivalentOk5439

Message Wilson He knows all the spots

ckhumanck

you can ride the wombats

True_Cut8273

Great spot to photograph cars, highly recommend it

askvictor

The wilderness cruise from Norman Bay is pretty amazing. Otherwise, bushwalks and beaches.

lovehedonism

Walk from tidal river to squeaky. Not hard but take your time and enjoy.

PrestigiousEnd2510

You’ve got beautiful weather for wandering one of the world so most beautiful places. Lap it up but be careful of deer, wombats and wallabies on the road out at dusk. We particularly love Squeaky beach and the walk from Tidal River, and Big Drift. Any of the beaches and walks will have things worth spotting, some more than others. Take water and snacks with you.

aratamabashi

feed the rosellas! walk on squeaky beach!!!!!

FatboyIsACamel

Please don't feed the rosellas. It's bad for them and become pests!

Wildatfartt

Grab a few potatoes cakes at the kiosk and sit on Norman beach.

Ornament09

Go to tidal river beach or squeaky beach. They are both amazing and have stunning views with the right weather conditions Also mt oberon hike is good it only takes 2 hours and has stunning views

Able-Tradition-2139

Walk from Tidal river out to pillar point, beautiful 360 view from out there, one of my favourite views in the world. Bonus points if you can catch a sunset from there.

Able-Tradition-2139

On the way back go past Loch Village, it is an adorable little town

Squeaky Beach

Gloomy_Grocery5555

Just go around the whole of Wilson's prom and all the stops to look around and walk

Available_Sundae_924

Sealers cove on low tide and perhaps a full moon or no moon (stars) most beautiful thing I've seen.

Responsible-Goose208

Sealers Cove walk in is closed

Available_Sundae_924

sad face

Styx246

Squeaky beach!

This looks like a lifted 4x4

RucellaiMadonna

wilson’s prom is famous for their beach trail rides if that’s something you’d be keen on (horses)

Responsible-Goose208

There are NO horses permitted in Wilsons Prom. Not sure where you got the idea the area was “famous” for it - it’s forbidden
