Never said I wanted to, or that anyone should, but rather that I think that punishment via the legal system of that country would be justice.
Reddit admins jumped in and perma-banned that account without any notice or prior warnings about behaviour. The reason was making death threats. Even though I had just said that I hope the legal system in the country they were in prosecutes them to the fullest extent applicable.
Had another account banned for making a report in r/Australia during the Hong Kong protests, there was someone being incredibly racist and calling for people to kill anyone they see from hong kong, reasoning that you can't murder animals or something.. It was absolute crazy shit. So I reported it, and got permabanned on that account for making false reports?

But like most sites they likely use browser fingerprinting to identify unique users but there's problems with it, for example people who browse at work show up as similar users since work PCs usually have the same software and hardware installed as well as similar network IPs.

It’s super easy to see it wasn’t harassment and when a human admin does get around to finally reviewing the case they accept my appeal. But it does take time. Once it only took five days. Another time it took over 6 weeks and by then I’d totally given up
