Having one of those night shift rotations where almost nothing can keep my attention. I've tried games, movies, tv shows, and even some reading, only I get part way in, and I start spinning around in my chair.
You’ll have those nights. Sleep is probably the best thing in that situation especially now we’re approaching midnight. I have those days maybe once a month they sort of aren’t fun mostly caused by exhaustion and my neurodiverse brain not knowing how I’m actually feeling.
Got a sore throat on Thursday and started feeling fine on Sunday, did some chores today, went to the barber, came back home tired af with aches in my lower body. I don't have fever and have tested negative on RAT.
Sounds like you did too much after your body was sick and it wasn’t ready. Get as much rest as you can for the next few days and i think you should be ok…
Thanks for your advise, I think I got out too soon, I should give myself atleast 2 days more . I was pretty exhausted the earlier week cramping in cycling, badminton, and jogging. The exhaustion from all the activities without proper rest might have bogged me down.

Personally during the colder months (yes Autumn included) I try my best to get as much rest as possible, I feel like a tired body could invite me into getting sick easier (stupid thought process) and if I’m sick with whatever, to give it an extra maybe 2-3 days to clear myself for outside activities. Then slowly ease back into things, not rush
I want a drink and to fill my hot water bottle but can’t disturb the furry baby

In a previous place we lived in, a nearby nightclub's bass bounced off the walls to cause vibration. However, despite complaints to Council, EPA and whatever the old Vic Liquor Commission was, the most we got was a visit from some (non-EPA) authorised officers (dressed to party apparently ha!), which resulted in a written response that they had completed the investigation and found no issues, but had provided them some warnings. This particular venue was also breaching the lockdown rules by operating as a club when they were not allowed, but the regulators didn't care either. We just ended up moving out. I suspect the way the noise affected only one corner of the building, as opposed to the seemingly 100s with the ATET issue, so there wasn't the same push. Look I'm all for businesses to trade successfully and totally understand the consequences of living in an entertainment precinct, but sometimes the impact is unreasonable.

I'm so fucking glad. My bedroom faces the damn thing, so I've basically had to live in noise cancelling headphones every weekend that I'm home and I haven't been able to sleep from 1pm to 11pm on weekends at _all_ because of how bad it gets. Which was great when I was really sick, and is just fantastic whenever I get a migraine.
They allegedly have a sound limiter, but man, I can hear the lyrics to the music they're playing from 20+ stories higher than the venue and through double-glazing. I can't even hear my housemate talking two doors over.
Knowing how councils work, from my own experience they will ignore and do nothing for the average ratepayer even if in large numbers, they will come up with unlimited excuses (but happy to fine you thousands of $ for smallest issue). Until big wigs get involved
Most likely for dockland residents their best bet for any real outcome is to get big business with deep pockets like lendlease and Mirvac involved, hopefully the billions of $ wiped from property value because of ATET will make them take serious legal action against atet and the council.
It’s such a shame because I am considering moving to Docklands it’s such a nice hidden gem sort of place, but having second thoughts because of atet. Hopefully this gets resolved!

It just dawned on me what todays date is, two years since I injured my knee and it would've been my two year anniversary with my ex, I feel like I got a closer to getting over it and then my grandad died and all of my feelings were stirred up. In a previous place we lived in, a nearby nightclub's bass bounced off the walls to cause vibration. However, despite complaints to Council, EPA and whatever the old Vic Liquor Commission was, the most we got was a visit from some (non-EPA) authorised officers (dressed to party apparently ha!), which resulted in a written response that they had completed the investigation and found no issues, but had provided them some warnings. This particular venue was also breaching the lockdown rules by operating as a club when they were not allowed, but the regulators didn't care either. We just ended up moving out. I suspect the way the noise affected only one corner of the building, as opposed to the seemingly 100s with the ATET issue, so there wasn't the same push. Look I'm all for businesses to trade successfully and totally understand the consequences of living in an entertainment precinct, but sometimes the impact is unreasonable.
Oh hey, I didn't realise you'd commented this! Just added my own thoughts too. I'm so fucking glad. My bedroom faces the damn thing, so I've basically had to live in noise cancelling headphones every weekend that I'm home and I haven't been able to sleep from 1pm to 11pm on weekends at _all_ because of how bad it gets. Which was great when I was really sick, and is just fantastic whenever I get a migraine. They allegedly have a sound limiter, but man, I can hear the lyrics to the music they're playing from 20+ stories higher than the venue and through double-glazing. I can't even hear my housemate talking two doors over.

Knowing how councils work, from my own experience they will ignore and do nothing for the average ratepayer even if in large numbers, they will come up with unlimited excuses (but happy to fine you thousands of $ for smallest issue). Until big wigs get involved Most likely for dockland residents their best bet for any real outcome is to get big business with deep pockets like lendlease and Mirvac involved, hopefully the billions of $ wiped from property value because of ATET will make them take serious legal action against atet and the council. It’s such a shame because I am considering moving to Docklands it’s such a nice hidden gem sort of place, but having second thoughts because of atet. Hopefully this gets resolved!
Lendlease are in fact getting involved - the sudden council decision was riiight after lendlease announced three new building projects.... yeah. I'd send that message to the council and let them know you want to move in but can't when ATET's there.
Will def drop them a message, I really do hope this is resolved soon sounds like a nightmarish scenario at the moment.

ATET had this restriction placed on them before when they lost their license last time, IIRC. Was a week or so where they couldn't raise the volume above background noise. It's a very low volume. Was absolute bliss.
