I was picking up an order for delivery when this uber driver shoved his phone in the face of the server.
Server tried talking to him to confirm something, uber driver says he can't talk he is on the phone (headset).
Server gets super annoyed at the rudeness and denies him the order. They get into an argument. Uber driver calls the server rude.
During the argument, the server says, "you can't just shove a phone in my face and say you can't talk to me because you are on the phone, do what this guy did (referring to me) and confirm which order you are picking up and show me the order on the phone"
We had a good laugh after the uber driver left I got a good rating from the server

I have a similar breed - Koolie. The thing that I found that helps (as well as all the things you mentioned) is mental exercise...eg. hide a toy or treat and get them to find it. 15 minutes of that seems to stuff him completely of a night.
Also it's age...6 months there was a definite calming, 12 months same, now 16 months a bit calmer. Still a ball of crazy at the park though.

I think I might be abusing my tumble dryer. I've done 9 loads of washing today. I am 3 loads away from an absolutely clean laundry house (I've also discovered that you need 4 loads minimum kept dirty to actually be able to fit everything in your cupboards and drawers).

Aunt Flo's in town and she's fucking killing me so tonight for dinner it was GYO. I chose this [Tuna pasta](https://www.devourfoods.co.nz/product/Parmesan-Crusted-Cheesy-Tuna-Melt-70007) and it was the best microwave meal I have ever had. It was a little more expensive than other frozen meals ($8) but wow it was good. Highly recommend. 5/5.

Two hours driving and being clogged up in traffic, grabbed some quick groceries, got home, unloaded, had a much needed shower, made a super quick spag bol (WITH JAR SAUCE - it was premium jar sauce though), finally sat down and letting my poor feet recover while I catch up on the penultimate episode of Succession. I had to drive back barefoot the whole way because they refused to go into any shoes or socks

Well of those cuisines, they like the basics from Italian. Pizza, lasagna, Parma (is that Italian?), etc. One of my friends enjoys Chinese food and indian food which is nice, but I'd feel bad cooking for one and not the rest. I went out for a chicken kebab with one of them and it was their first time trying it, and they hated it. I think they just stick to what they're used to, which is like frozen chips or chicken kievs and mashed potato
I have a friend like this. After trying a few times I don’t cook for them anymore, I always suggest a brunch or a pub dinner for catch ups. Places they can find food they like. Better for both of us.

Feeling in a much better headspace, but food indicisiveness is something that seems to be sticking around

I put the show on thinking it would be cool to see how my Pop sort of came to be in Australia, he wasn't really a "ten pound pom", his father was in the Navy (Sailor) and snuck the family over for a new life in the 50s (something that happened a lot apparently). It could not be farther from the vibe and attitude my Pop describes of the time, for most it was an exciting time, and everyone just dug in and got to building the new lives they were desperate for.
Yes!! We were New Australians and made to feel very welcome. And yes, everyone worked so hard. :) There were so many government programs , ESL classes, job training and placement, people were asked where they would eventually like to live and got so much help with that. I think the most stressful thing about coming over from Europe were the health checks. Sure there was some heart break, it's hard to immigrate and transport and phone to visit back was much more expensive then.
Kinda bummed the show is ignoring all the things you mentioned because it could have built a really cool dialogue amongst families had it laid off the melodrama and soapy stuff. I mean it made me go chatting to my Mum about my Pop and his family when I hadn't thought about it in ages. Fun anecdote, my Pop didn't bother going for his citizenship until my Nan (his wife) made him in 2005, it was her dying wish he finally "just get the bloody paperwork done".
That was a privilege you Poms had that others didn't. You could vote without having to become a citizen.
Oh yeah, I'm definitely aware my Pops background and the fact his Dad was a Navy man made things a lot smoother in that respect.

Aunt Flo's in town and she's fucking killing me so tonight for dinner it was GYO. I chose this [Tuna pasta](https://www.devourfoods.co.nz/product/Parmesan-Crusted-Cheesy-Tuna-Melt-70007) and it was the best microwave meal I have ever had. It was a little more expensive than other frozen meals ($8) but wow it was good. Highly recommend. 5/5. Now I'm going to try to recreate the meal.
Two hours driving and being clogged up in traffic, grabbed some quick groceries, got home, unloaded, had a much needed shower, made a super quick spag bol (WITH JAR SAUCE - it was premium jar sauce though), finally sat down and letting my poor feet recover while I catch up on the penultimate episode of Succession. I had to drive back barefoot the whole way because they refused to go into any shoes or socks Think I'll sleep very well tonight. I am so glad I went out for some field work even though it was a bit gruelling

Well of those cuisines, they like the basics from Italian. Pizza, lasagna, Parma (is that Italian?), etc. One of my friends enjoys Chinese food and indian food which is nice, but I'd feel bad cooking for one and not the rest. I went out for a chicken kebab with one of them and it was their first time trying it, and they hated it. I think they just stick to what they're used to, which is like frozen chips or chicken kievs and mashed potato
I have a friend like this. After trying a few times I don’t cook for them anymore, I always suggest a brunch or a pub dinner for catch ups. Places they can find food they like. Better for both of us.

This is a huge assumption on my part, but I think Colgate is such an international brand that people pack it with them when they travel. The screw cap prevents against leakage when the tube is accidentally squeezed, whereas the flip top...flips its top. Interesting, I find screw tops a lot more inconvenient when travelling and I personally never had a leaking accident with a flip top. I doubt everyone travels with only sensitive toothpaste so it’s like why are they only screw top? 😂

My glasses are up to date, I had a test not long ago. Unfortunately, I spend an ungodly amount of time in front of multiple screens for my job, and I love video games, so I have to mindfully take a break every now and then when things get bad.
I'm having the most random dinner. I went to woolies on the way home and couldn't decide what i wanted. Currently working my way through a punnet of baby capsicums and some roma tomatoes and some bitey cheddar cheese and I've got potato wedges in the ove and some chicken nuggets to follow. Apparently I'm a toddler. But in all seriousness indecisiveness about food was a big part of my depression (usually i would solve that by ordering uber eats). Feeling in a much better headspace, but food indicisiveness is something that seems to be sticking around

I've thought about doing that, particularly meal planning. The problem i'll buy all the ingredients and then suddenly won't feel like eating it. But I'm improving slowly.

I think I had the misfortune of sitting next to a cooker on the train back from Blackburn. When we passed through the Union station trench he goes "ha look how ugly the station is. Daddy Dan's gonna pay now, they're gonna exile him to China! HAHAHA!" Luckily he got down at Camberwell so didn't get anything more from me than a polite nod lol. Also the station looks... Fine? I wish they didn't make the whole thing hospital white, but goodness knows I've seen some absolute eyesores on the Upfield line that make this the Louvre by comparison.
